Great minds think alike... I am concerned about PC and zipping so I got 2 SPF shirts from REI and the SPF capis/ pants from sport authority..

Brendan and I bought booney hats made by columbia...they are light weight and are actually comfortable!

We are going to take them to WDW in a few days for a test run...

EMS is a store and yes a brand name.. They have a website as well. I just got a brand from KOHLS. (EVEREST) in red.. They are cute and comfy. My feet too say HEELS?? the torture.... Kohls ahs buy one get one for free too.. so if you can get the family there this week.. it will pay off in the long run...good luck with that!!

For all you ladies who plan on wearing tiaras for one of the nights... Do you know which night it will be yet? My husband doesn't believe there will be a princess night I don't think, but I want an excuse to wear a tiara!! I found a beautiful gown at Nordstroms too!

My DH is a big fan too. We have tons of his movies on video or DVD. "True Grit" is the movie I like the most, but it is pretty cool seeing him in some of his early movies (Stagecoach, etc)

I have a dear friend who is his 2nd or 3rd Cousin.

I'm not wearing a tiara, but the DW is, so I'll go ahead and answer. There's a poll for Grownup Princess Night on the pirate zone. Right now, it looks like the 2nd formal night, Ballroom Under the Stars night, is in the lead.

I am going on this with my three girls (16, 13, 11 by the time we cruise) . . . I just could not believe that a DCL excursion would ever be a "booze cruise" and it looks really exotic . . .

Julie, I liked how the Rythms of the Night sounded too, but I was worried about being pressed for time coming back from the zipline

You have the earlier zipline run than we do, but what time are you planning on leaving the zipline in order to make it back in time to dress for this excursion ?

I'm still frustrated not knowing my stateroom number. I talked to reservations today and they said it could be up to the day of sailing before we know the stateroom. Are they going to attach a trailer to the back of the ship if they have run out of rooms. We're guaratee cat. 5. It seems it would be easier to assign cabins than to field all the questions. I have a Royal Caribbean cruise for next Feb. with only a deposit and have a stateroom and have had the stateroom assigned on every other cruise I've ever booked. I wish they would tell us what the problem is!

Unfortunately, with DCL as soon as the rooms go into GTY status, they have to be assigned manually. This is how they can work on getting you rooms near each other when you have two, etc. Have patience, you will be on the ship!

Does anyone know when the fireworks from the ship are scheduled?

They are pirate night which I belive is Friday, August 29th!

My DH didn't believe that the wenches would be wearing tiaras either. I ordered one from ebay and when it came he goes "Where are you wearing that ?" I told him on the cruise and that others were also. He insists that they are all "yanking my chain" and that noone will be wearing it but me

The night we will be wearing them has not been determined yet (as Mike posted) so make sure you vote

I just bought a brown.. yes brown gown from MACY'S. I hate brown mind you but it does look very nice.. Its that shimmer brownish back color..

Good morning everyone. Had a great day yesterday hiking to a cave and finding a really scary spider sitting in his cone shaped web and then dinner with friends! No time to completely ketchup, but I did see the countdown calendar... It's really neat, but did anyone else see that it's not correct? Tomorrow is day 75 (I can finally book excursions!) In July, the 18 and 17 are in the wrong spot!

Another approach to consider: I ran all the outdoor shirts I brought last summer through RIT sunguard - it adds SPF protection to your clothing.

I'm going to judge once I see how long it takes us to get there -- if it is as expected (25-45 minutes) we will plan to getting either the 2PM or 3PM bus back to the ship . . . my thought was that I would just spend more or less time at the area after we zip depending on when we need to get back. I did read on cruise critic that someone was told by a person who had done it that they could easily do the 11 AM tour, hang out for a while, and make a 4PM massage at the Krystal. Since the excursion meets at 4:45, I thought as long as we were back to the ship by 3:30 or 4 we could shower super fast and then make the excursion . . .

If only there was time to work in a massage at Krystal, too . . .
