Since we should maybe start thinking about our excursions and other stuff that we need to book, is there a way for me to find out ahead of time what's still available? Like for Palo, I heard Brunch is sold out, what dinners are available? Thanks!

I htink the way to find out is by going on the website to book something....It would then show you what is available.

HTH!

Thanks for the newsletter!!!:worship: :worship: Lots of important things starting to happen!!:hyper: :hyper:

does this make sense to anyone .got a letter fro dcl yesterday.
at the end of the letter it said on the day of your sailing all guests must be board the ship no later than 4pm. the mandatory safety drill for all passengers is at 3 pm.so you have to be at the safety drill at 3 but you do not have to board until 4?

I think it's some strange maritime law going back a way... If you board after the mandatory lifeboat drill, and the ship hits an iceberg, you get locked below decks with the 3rd class with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.....

Fortunately, in this age of global warming, the chances of hitting an iceberg have decreased dramatically. I'm sure any day now they will eliminate all lifeboats in order to be able to offer more rooms with verandas. ::cop:

The letter is actually a reminder of the types of documentation that they require to board the ship. Acceptable ID's, passports, etc. The bit about all aboard time and safety drill is the last paragraph, almost an after thought. It could of been phrased better though!

Actually, this puzzled me. I thought a passport was absolutely required for the EB cruise, yet this letter suggested that a birth certificate might be acceptable? Does anyone now the facts on this?

You have to have a passport since the ship stops in South America

Happy Anniversary Father Mike!!!

Many thanks, me hearties! I absolutely can NOT believe that twenty-five years have already gone by.

I appreciate the greetings.

Tonight, we are having a big parish Mass at 6:00 p.m. and a dinner to follow in our gymnasium for my family, friends, and parishioners. Needless to say, I'm excited about it.

And doubly excited because today means that I am that much closer to my anniversary gift to myself: our cruise! ::yes::

Ahhhh . . . THAT'S why I'm locked out.

Well, remind me to thank you personally when I get on board! :rolleyes1

Thanks for the anniversary wishes!

Wow! That might explain why the huge screen TV in our local Disney store was finally fixed!:rotfl2:

That's funny- our store too.
It has bugged me so much that every time I go to our DS one quadrant of the screen is out. Been that way for months. Last time I went in it was fine.

You have a great time at your party!!:yay: :yay:

You have to have a passport since the ship stops in South America

The Disney letter sez all guests claiming US citizenship must have one of:

Passport
Birth Certificate
Certificate of Naturalization
Certificate of Citizenship
Consular Report of Birth

Requirements for non US citizens may (prolly are) different:

Who knows, the Feds keep changing the deadline for needing passports. We have ours so we're good. I thought we needed them for Columbia too.

That's funny- our store too.

Our stores had been off completely since last fall. Our local store is small compared to some of the others we have been to.

I don't think they changed those letters from their regular Caribbean sailings to what is needed for the EB. If you call them they will tell you that you need a passport. You cannot go into South America without one.

On Disneycruise.com it also states the following
"Please visit the U.S. Department of State website at http://travel.state.gov or call the U.S. National Passport Information Center at 877-4USA-PPT for the most current requirements. "
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/myCruise/landing?name=PassportDetailPage

I would take this to mean that each person should check with that site to make sure you have proper documentation depending on the stops your cruise is making

From the State.gov website only 17 locations in the Caribbean plus Canada, Mexico and Bermuda are listed for places that a passport is not needed when on a cruise. All other ports require a passport
