Happy Belated Birthday Esteri!!!!!!!!

Thank you all for your very kind wishes, thoughts and prayers for my Aunt over the last few days.

We had word a short while ago that my Aunt had finally passed away. A blessing for all. She'd been fairly unresponsive for around 4 days and in the last 24 hours had ceased all communications and gone into a seemingly deep sleep.

My Mum said she is looking forward to laying down in a real bed as she's been sitting and sleeping a plastic chair for the last 4 days without a break so she didn't have to leave my Aunt alone. She'd promised my Aunt to not leave and to be there stay until the very end.

Mum's hoping to return home at the weekend as she'll need a couple of nights good sleep before tackling a 24+ hour flight home.

Again thank you all!

My prayers to your family.

does this make sense to anyone .got a letter fro dcl yesterday.
at the end of the letter it said on the day of your sailing all guests must be board the ship no later than 4pm. the mandatory safety drill for all passengers is at 3 pm.so you have to be at the safety drill at 3 but you do not have to board until 4?

I got the letter yesterday too. I plan on being on the ship ASAP so whatever the schedule is I don't mind - I'm on vacation!

(I'm sure it has something to do with getting out of the port by a certain time.)

The same thing happened with the Mediterranean cruises. The drill was before all aboard times. I think you just have to go through the drill on a more personal level if you are not there at 3pm.

Personally, I wouldn't call it that close. Also, I figure I pay for the buffet when we get onboard so why miss it! :lmao:

If any of my committee knows how to put together a deck by deck plan with the cabins involved highlighted in some way (to make FE gift delivery easier) let me know and we can plan to have something like that once all the cabin numbers come in as well.

I'm not on the FE committee, but I am working with M on the Navigator. I could probably do something like the one that was posted - deck plan with colored boxes around each room that is a DISer or on the FE list. I'm pretty good with editing graphics and this shouldn't be all that difficult. Of course, if someone else would like to tackle it, that is fine!

Maybe after boarding and going for the free buffet like Tracy suggested........we all just hang around above scoops at 3:30 or whatever the time DCL allows. Are we leaving the port at 4:00:confused:  This makes no sense to me.:headache:

I DID IT!!!!!

I ketched up from post 500ish. It only took me from Monday afternoon to today on and off (yes, I did have to work and take care of kids/meals/laundry etc). But I did it!!! :)

Okay, I going to bed now...

Just kidding BIP, I am actually going to work now for about 15 minutes, then to the YMCA and then meetings all afternoon with my staff.

Have a great day guys! Don't post too much!

DING! DING! DING! We have a winner!! :cool1: I don't think anyone is going to fight you for this one.
It would be great if you could do this!!

I think the black dress is made by "Tahari" and is far more flattering in real life then it seems in the photo. The red dress is "smoking" in real life too - more so than this photo can possibly convey.

Very pretty dresses!

We will want to attend his presentation for sure! My ds12 is an artist, and animation is his passion.

I know some one has already posted this but..... he does presentations in the kids club, also!

WOW! Thanks! My 17 yr old DD LOves to draw Disney art.

He does a session in the Teen club! That would be a better one to go to because alot fewer people will be there! LOL!
I know that our dd's have been talking (my dd is Pirana/Samantha).. I don't know if my dd mentioned that she is an artist, also!

All of my children (at least the oldest 4 -- we call youngest dd the *speed artist*) are fairly good artists. Some are better at sketching, some at pastels, oil, sculpting......

I might finish this ............in time for the new DCL ships to be built!!! :rotfl2: Thanks Pamela. :thumbsup2 I am just learning Excel for the dining links now!!! :faint:

I always knew I lived in a safe area but I guess we really tested it last night.
We left the garage wide open w/ the light on :scared1: If that does not say here I am and here is all I own- Come get me!!! I do not know what does.
Also we left the door from the garage into the house unlocked. That says- If your van is not full from all the stuff from my garage, come in and help yourself to my house contents as well. :rotfl:

Our house cleaner is an hour late- if I have to clean my own house it will not be pretty. :worried:

I got that letter yesterday too. That part didn't make sense to me either. :confused3

We got that letter also. Even DD9 said it didn't make sense when I read it out loud!
Our flight gets in at 8:45 that morning and we'll be taking the 1st DCL bus to the port. We should be there in time for the life boat drill! :rotfl2:

I've heard a little talk about this. Doesn't make sense to me but that's the way they want to do it.

Last year on the Med Repo many of us missed the lifeboat drill. It was on the day we boarded, but we were not sailing away until the next evening. So we were all out exploring the port. All that happened was I got a nice letter in my fish explaining the emergency procedures.

So while they do state that the lifeboat drills are mandatory, they will not escort you off the ship if you miss it. The boat leaves at 4:15 (maybe 4:30) so if you are not on by 4pm, you've missed the boat.
