The monumental decision I am contemplating this weekend:

Elemis Aroma Spa Ocean Wrap with Half Body Massage

OR

Elemis Aroma Stone Therapy

Anyone done either of these and have any thoughts?? DH & I have only had the Couples Massage, but he thinks he can handle getting a massage by himself this time, so I want to try something new.

They moved it back by 11+ hours! That's insane. The didn't move your flight, they just randomly assigned you to a new one!

...off to check my Airtran return flight...

As answered already, if you have the right person the stone can be good. Personally I have never.

Question for those that charge everything on Disney Visa, then pay it off right away???

How long should I wait between charging and making the payment? Does it matter? I don't want to lose out on my rewards if I make a payment too soon.

The reward $ do not have anything to do with when you pay. They add them up on the closing date of the statement based on the charges made that billing cycle.. So as long as you have the acct current and pay each month before the due date no problem. If you are paying thru Chases website or phonepay, there has to be a balance on the card to do it so in that respect you have to have the charge on the card and not in a pending stat.but if you are paying thru mail or your own billpay, go for it.

Morning , anyone doing anythnig this weekend?

Today we are going over to my mom's to help clean up some plants around her house, then off to the local church festival (leftover tickets from last night) and then a wedding this evening. Tomorrow..usual errands and DD serves Mass in the morning.

That's a bummer, but I'm glad you're still going on the important cruise.

I agree, this is the important cruise. Which is why I'm going even if I'm not employed anywhere.

Arlene is our resident expert, but I've paid things off as soon as they showed up in my account online & I still get the rewards. I charge everything to DV and pay it off 2-3 times a month.

You can pay it off as soon as it hits your account. You don't even have to wait for the statement date.

As long as there was a transaction in to your credit card account, you've earned the "reward."

I almost always pay a week or so before the statement date and have always accrued the points.

Thanks everyone. I knew we had the experts on here.

Hi all:yay:
I had fun watching the PC crossing yesterday from work:woohoo:
Just lurking though, cause I don't feel comfortable posting from work, yet:rolleyes:

I did get home to see that I had left the extra window open after the pirate run yesterday-- and low and behold it had my post as #2000 and Roger's was nowhere near it:headache: In fact it was all wenches around the 2000:confused3 I didn't want to close the window cause I knew it would disappear:lmao:
So Coral and Mary Ann (and someone else) you guys were right :thumbsup2 I did have it and he pirated it away somehow:sad2:

I have decided to forgive Roger though since the PC crossing videos he posted were very cool and I got to show the family what they missed:flower3:

Oh and Andy, Angelina looks stunning in her prom dress, Wow:thumbsup2

I'm gonna be busy today with Kelly's party. She is going to see Prince Caspian with her friends and then a sleepover. Combine that with "hassle free" booking on Sunday night and I've decided to take Monday off.

I'll be back on Sunday, don't post too much please, at least not anything important;) .

Is there anyone else who would like to join the group for dinner? You don't have to be traveling solo. Maybe you've got a spouse who doesn't want to do dinner.

We've got 9 of us so far. DCL says the private room is available at dinner (I thought it was only brunch). But we need a minimum of 12 to book it.

Otherwise, the only way would be to link our reservations, then have one person book it. Now the problems with that are:
1 - no way I'm linking prior to this weekend. When you are linked, if one person is in the ressie, no one else can be in it. Even more fun for our "Hassle Free Booking Day".
2 - Linking later, all the Palo slots will be gone.

I really think our best option is to try to get a few more people, then book the private room.

I've posted a poll on the pirate zone so we can narrow down a desired date. Palo Poll

Can someone give me a tutorial.......nvm......Thanks Tom

Bringing this back up in case anyone missed it. We still have room for a few more.

Also, I have sent a PM to everyone who has signed up (I hope). If you signed up with me but have not received a PM, please let me know.

Could someone confirm when we can try for Palo brunch? Does anyone know if they had brunch yesterday going through PC? Thanks :)

Someone said that they went to Brunch yesterday on one of the threads ..I checked the ressies on the website and they are showing the Brunch on sea days only. So it may be an on-board kinf od thing only.

We paid our balance off with the Disney Visa and then when the bill came in..paid off the card..we still recieved our rewards.

Proposal for booking night

I know we were talking about being in the chat room and some people were going to call each other.

Is anyone interested in a conference call? I have access to a conference bridge through work. It's technically for work purposes, but what are they going to do, let me go? :rotfl: They've already done that! Besides I used it during the AWE Red Carpet (for about 6 hours) and never heard anything about it.

If there's enough interest, I'll PM everyone the info.

that sounds good! please count me in

quick question....
we've never booked excursions before we've boarded. actually the only excursion that has ever been booked was for dh to parasail at CC (which ended up being canceled due to weather).
anyways, when booking tomorrow nite, do you reserve a time? if it says it meets at 8:45 or 9:45, do you pick that tomorrow nite too? or will they place us wherever there is room?

When you go in to book..they will offer you the time available..and you pick which one you want..a lot of the excursions only have one time.

Finally bit the bullet, purchased airfare and sent in our request for the Jolly Pirates.

I've been hesitant to book anything non-refundable just because of the uncertainty with DS and my job. But after watching the crossing yesterday, there was no way I could miss this. DS may end up going on a cruise that he doesn't deserve and I may have to eat mac n cheese for a while but we're going no matter what!!!

Now off to purchase insurance.....just in case....I think only a hospitalization would hold us back now.

Cheryl (micmse2003) is staying at the Mariott LAX I believe. As far as I know she is the only one getting DCL transfers from the airport. She may have more info.

I do know the transfers from the DL hotels will be starting at 12pm. So I'm not sure how early the transfers from LAX are going to start.

We're using DCL transfers but, we are coming in early that morning. I think we get in 7:30am LA time.

Cheryl & John, maybe we can meet up for the bus! :goodvibes

We are taking DCL transfers also. TA said we won't know our flights until about 30-60 days beforehand. I promised myself I wouldn't worry about it. I am not stressing....I am not stressing...I am not stressing:scared: :scared1: :scared:

We will be coming in on Sunday morning, but with the time difference we should be OK. But it will be a long day on Sunday. So if you see me with a glazed look I apoligize in advance. I am sure I will not sleep Saturday night.

Tom, AirTran has always emailed with schedule changes. On our last trip to WDW that we books 6 months in advance it changed about 3 times and each time I got an email and had to accept the change. Once I clicked accept and apparently it didn't take so they emailed me again.

Been a while since I checked, so I went on Airtran's website and my 5:05 pm flight is now 8:35 am

Anyone think I can make this?

Called Airtran and they switched me to a 4:30 pm flight.

I love that their confirmation and FAQ say they will notify me of any changes to itinerary as soon as possible. Guess they were going to notify me as close as possible to departure.

My mom had this same problem with AirTran when we went for Spring Break. They changed her schedule by HOURS and never told her. We had a special dinner booked that evening so she called back and spent about an hour on the phone trying to get a time that worked for everyone. That is CRAZY!

This is the first time that we aren't using Disney Air.... But, it ended up being $1,000 less to do our own air and that paid for the insurance & transfers -- the transfers were included in Disney Air but, insurance wasn't! LOL! I think we still came out ahead by a couple of hundred dollars.

I'm pretty sure that we got the same flights as we would have using Disney -- from past experience.
Non-stop to LAX and from MCO.

Ok..you talked me into it! I booked the Ocean Wrap and massage. Our schedule looks like one long spa reservation! I wouldn't normally get a mani and pedi on the cruise but I figured by the time I get one here and pack/load etc..my hands won't look that great and I would like them to look nice for the pics on the VR.

DH has a massage too so we will our onboard acct. will be in debt to the spa.

Booking Question

Okay, now that I have someone's attention. In regards to the Wenches Tea - do I need to do anything when booking excursions tomorrow night. Chris already has me on the list.

thanks
