Shaorn...are you going to do the Princess Run next year???

Yep...Matt can eat. I thought Jared ate a lot, but he's got nothing on Matt.
I had told Matt that he could come sit with us at our late dining...to be with all the other teens....so when he did, the Servers just automatically took his order....and he ate it ALL!!!

ETA: How is Lisa's injury??

Her hand is not broken (YEA!!!). She wore a splint for four days and went back to full out training on Monday night. So far, so good. She has a week and a half to completely heal before Nationals. So, everyone say a prayer and send some Pixie Dust to her on Saturday May 17 at 10am.

I thought the leos, grips, various bags, etc were expense, but I know that Hockey equipment far exceeds gymnastics. And, - I only have one gymnast. HOWEVER - I am also "supporting" scuba diving, marathons, 5k's, etc for my other "children". YES - DH is a big kid too at times.

Lisa ran her second 5k ever on Saturday. She improved her time from 32 minutes to 27 minutes. Now, Jim wants to "train" her (just what she needs, another activity). He is also "bribing" her with a pink wet suit to try and learn to scuba dive this summer since Matt is leaving for the Air Force in June (and he is losing his playmate).

!!

Yep - Jim is "giving" me it for Christmas next year (he has already told me). This is to go with my Christmas present last year of the Minnie 15k and my birthday present of the Disney 1/2 Marathon. :rotfl:

Seriously - my going on the PC Cruise while he deals with Lisa starting High School and commuting her to the gym each night for two weeks has been my Christmas / Birthday Gift / etc from him.

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone! DS really enjoyed all the birthday wishes.

Kind of funny - one of those posted was very, very close to his actual cake.

Due to the huge expected turnout for his party, this was a 1/2 sheet cake so they had to slightly modify the design (most designs assume a 1/4 sheet) - but they did a fantastic job!

The Reds are doing something new this year. For $30 each you get a seat and all the food you want. It is a limited menu (mostly hot dogs, chips, peanuts, pop) but sounds like a good deal. No beer though, which is OK with me I don't drink beer. I heard a lot of groups are getting the tickets. May suggest it for our company summer outing.

Wow that sounds like a real bargain!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Personally, I'm sure you have the legs to pull it off....but I have to say that I'm glad you have the good taste and sense to not try.
You're still young....but I hate seeing women in their 40's and up wearing short skirts and low cut tops....ewwww. And up here, we see a LOT of that. Money doesn't buy your age back.:sad2:

But money can get rid of your wrinkles. ;) I talked to the skin doctor after removing my mole and I asked who much for a fill job on wrinkles??? No Botox!! It is something called Restylane and he said $450 a shot and I would need two!!! I thought wow $900 is not too bad but it only six months!!:sad2: :sad2: Guess I will be not giving him $900 and just live with my wrinkles.:rolleyes1

With all the cooking talk, and a mention of this place by Rachel Ray, I decided to look it up. Anyone ever hear of Young Chefs Academy? http://www.youngchefsacademy.com/pages/home.html

It's a cooking school for kids 3-18. There is not one near me otherwise I'd love to sign up DS.

And with my current job situation, I'm considering all possiblities. I never thought I wanted to own my own business, but the dinner assembly places discussed yesterday, and now this, I'm thinking I might want to investigate opening a franchise. Probably just pipe dreams though. As a single parent I really need something more stable.

Great things happen out of pipe dreams!!!

Hey Cheryl!

A ways back when I was doing ketchup, I saw that you said we need to talk about the mini-meet in July. Give me a call one of these evenings and we can chat!

Sounds good. Disney Watchman and poohmomof 5 might come too!!!
Myabe we can even convince Tracy from Wisconsin too!! Say hi to Dan!!

Had to book roundtrip airfare from phila to Lax because it was cheaper than booking one way- interesting!!!!

Was it United? Living in Denver, I was able to save $100 per ticket by driving to Colorado Springs and flying to Denver and then on to my destination.

....
And on another point... I got a last minute invitation to go to a Dodger game last nite. we played the Mets and had a close pitched battle with the New Yorkers.... with LA prevailing in the end! We had great seats off the 1st base line! I have not been to a ball game in some time - and as such this was a real treat!

Sounds fun....I work very close to Coors field (home of the 2007 National League Champion Rockies!)...so close that they use our parking lot for game parking. The exit to the highway is right by Coors field and I have to drive by it everyday. Game days are tough when you're commuting home and have to watch thousands of fans walking into the stadium and all of the bars open around the stadium with everyone out on the patios drinking beer.....sometimes I just want to park and just stay downtown. Fortunately, we're going to a couple of games over the next month with the boys.

How about an Orlando based meal prep company marketed to DVC and other timeshares?

TMI WARNING!

Strapless it way better than stick on!

My aformentioned princess dress has a halter neckline and corsette lacing up the back, so part of the back is open to the waist (a narrow strip, but open nonetheless). Please pass the duct tape.

All the guys would just say... no wait, this is a family board

When I was looking for airfare to LA for TOAL, I could get a flight from Allentown/Bethlehem (PA) airport, one stop to LAX for $150 or less. The one stop was Newark, 40 minute flight time there, didn't deplane, just picked up more passengers, same plane, same flight number and on to LAX. To get on the plane in Newark was $450++
