BTW -
Talking about books for kids - have any of you read the Piers Anthony "Xanth" series? Fantasy - they've been around for awhile - I ended up reading them too!!!

Also, "The Dragon Riders of Pern" series - can't remember the author at the moment.

My kids and grandkids and I all enjoy the same books!!

Chris:

I used to be a huge Piers Anthony fan!!! I have read "Xanth..", but a loooong time ago!!!:) My favorites are the "Incarnations of Immortality" books - those are what got me started reading his books!:) Have not read the "Pern" books though...my DD is just getting old enough, I am hoping she will take an interest!

Well my FIL & BIL just left and Chuck & I are a little concerned about something.............Chuck's Dad is suppose to come and stay here while we are on TOAL. We just found out he is on Morphine every 4 hours & other strong medicines that's why the brother drove.:rolleyes1

Chuck's Dad doesn't look well. another piece of info. that some don't know, while WE were on the Magic in Aug. 06 my MIL passed away. We found out the morning we arrived in port.

It's hard to talk about with DH , seems so fresh still with what happened to his Mom. I don't think Chuck's Dad is in any condition to be here to take care of Dante. Not to mention we are VERY concerned about him and leaving.:sad2: :sad2:

Just don't know what to do........ I can't put Dante in boarding, last trip we came back he was really stressed and had no voice because he barked the entire time we were gone.

WE have lots of time so try not to woory.

Anyone know if US park passes can be used at the Orlando parks?

Hey LaTanya!

Are you and Tyreak going to Universal Orlando after the cruise? I don't know the answer to your question, but if you can't use your Universal Hollywood passes there, they have a good deal going on right now.

I think it's something like $80 for a park hopper that's good for up to a week.

We're spending 2 nights at the Royal Pacific after the TOAL, so we'll get into the parks on 3 days with them.

You may want to post your question over on the Universal section of the DIS. The peeps over there really know their USO stuff.:thumbsup2

Well I hope they get over that if he is going to continue to act.

Exactly!
We think they are going to do a couple of *special performances* next weekend -- this theater sends shows to festivals in Europe and they want to do a professional video of the production, etc....

Is the Rockin Bar D the equivalent to Diversions on the Wonder? If so, you'll find us there as well. We had sooooo much fun in there with CM Ian on the Wonder. Just don't let DH do karoke.:rotfl2:

Diversions is still Diversions on both, that's the sports bar. Rockin Bar D is the dance/karaoke bar. I think it's called Wave Bands on the Wonder.

Congratulations on the First Communion and the hockey team. My sister just notified us that my nephew qualified for some international tournament held in Philly the last weekend in June. It sounds like a big event, so we may make the trip. This is the info I got from my sister:

Greetings everyone! Hope I didn't miss too much being gone this weekend, it seems you all were quite chatty and I refuse to go back and try to ketchup - I will be here all week.

All went well with DD98 first communion - she would not drink the wine though - we assured her it was okay. She looked beautiful in her pretty white dress and tiara - same tiara she will wear for formal night - maybe even the same dress!

After first communion DD and I left for VA Beach and visited Cape Henry lighthouse, spent some time playing around on the beach and then went to the VA beach aquarium where we spent the night with our brownie troop on a very HARD concrete floor but the fishes more than made up for it. We really had fun, its good to be home but its another monday - eek. At least its one more monday til the TOAL! Its inching closer slow but sure!

Have a great week everyone - next week here is SOL's, not sure how much I will be around!

OMG :scared1: she's 98 and just getting her first communion??? Wow, you must age really well to have a DD that old.

Can it please be someone else's turn? Tina and I have had enough!

Hang in there. Something will work out...................at least that's what everyone keeps telling me.

Tell Elvis I am proud of him!!!!! :woohoo:

Will do! :goodvibes

Did I tell you that Amy is coming to visit in June????? When did you and John want to vist? ;) Did you want to wait unitl it is cold there and warm here??

Wow!! Congrats to your DS:thumbsup2

Thank you! I'm very grateful that he didn't want to audition for any plays this summer.....last summer he was in shows at 2 different theaters -- 3 shows in 2 months is way too much for ME! LOL!

Good Morning :surfweb:

All the pitcures of the First Communion's were lovely - thanks for sharing.

I didn't realize there was a DIS tour group for Catagena being planned - I just thought someone was looking for his info - oops. I wasn't even going to get off the ship, but then I was reading how highly recommended he comes so I am going to go for it. DH doesn't want to do a "big" group thing so I guess I can't play with you all :sad1: BTW, the walking tour with Cristian Martinez gets pretty bad reviews on Cruisecritic. Seems he was a no-show for a couple of people.

Monica - I read your post a coule of days back and wanted to say I am so glad you are still going to be able to make the TOAL

Congrats to all of you that were able to get booked what you wanted at the 105 day mark and Pixie Dust to those that were dissapointed pixiedust: . Honestly, I don't put much faith in being able to book anything at the 90 day mark. There are just so many of us repeat cruisers that are going to be accessing the site at the same time, and DCL's site being what it is :headache: ..... OK, I'll stop being Eeyore now :eeyore: :eeyore:
