Mike, this is sooo cool!

I would respond but I'm too busy being hypnotized! :)

My TA posts on this board -- and is on the TOAL -- and she hasn't gotten ANY of the planning packets, including her own! She's called DCL several times about it . . .

All this demand, maybe I should auction mine off on EBay. I don't need it.

(and as an aside, never in a million years did I think that when I booked this flight from Portland home to Chicago that I would be delayed in Denver by snow. In May.)

It's 8:44. Do you know where your luggage is?

So Laurie you will be entertaining the monkeys while we are zipping, right. :lmao: I hear they have a tarantula that will crawl on your face too. Oh and don't forget about the snake.
Definitely plan on hanging out with the monkeys:thumbsup2 I'll observe the tarantula and the snake from afar:eek: They also have water slides:woohoo:

I finally just finished my fish extender. I didn't sew it and hope it will hold up. May not be completly straight...... but I like it. I put red sparkle discs on the nose.

Nice job:thumbsup2

no, we are from the Syracuse/Oswego area. We spent 11 years in Rochester though - through the 1990's. I loved Rochester! It is a much nicer area and much nicer city than Syracuse
I was there from 1982 to 1990. I just missed you guys there--Winters were easier there than here in VA. They take better care of their roads:rolleyes: I think I was allergic to the lilacs though. I was so miserable every September:confused3

Great pics. Mike............. I just did the same thing. I bought a pentax M50. It's nice & small. This one is my wallpaper right now.
IMGP0078.jpg

Beautiful too:thumbsup2 Makes it hard to choose a camera.

Well Pirates... I didn't think i could do it... but
i cancelled my dd's plane ticket to CA..... (i did apply it to purchase 2 tickets home for dh and i though; before the new baggage fees go into effect)

I'm still sad though a little that she's not going...

Of course what's worse...going and being a little sad or taking her with and chancing that i'll tear my hair out the whole time....:headache:

We pretty much won't see her all summer as she's going to GS camp for a month in July. (we'll only see her on Saturday nights)

Hard being a good Mom. There will be other trips.

At any rate, the moral of this story... a) we are indeed lucky to do such an extraordinary trip... it IS going to be a truly memorable and special thing, b) Life is indeed too short NOT to do things like this ... which is a great reason to have this sort of "fun", and c) in all other respects ... travel aside .... we should all do what we can to relax more on the things that threaten our sanity... while developing more time to wax romantic on things worth living for and enjoying in life. No matter WHAT that might be. SO ... with that in mind I am going to go get me some creamed spinich because I have a craving fer it! And it's gonna put a smile on my face as my tummy humms with pleasure!
Good to remember:thumbsup2 Thanks Crash

Laurie, don't let Roger mock you like this . . . we should be there at the same time since we zip earlier . . . I'll meet and greet the tarantula with you and we can take lots of pictures . . . then we can annoy the tarantula before Roger comes back from zipping . . .:rotfl:
.
Actually, how about I watch you meet and greet the tarantula:woohoo: Chances are I'll freak out drop it and step on it, accidently:rolleyes1

Thanks Julie but that still wouldn't prevent me having a heart attack though.:rotfl2: The thought of flying through the air just doesn't sound good to me.
That's why I'm observing...from the restaurant area...with Julie... and some other scaredy cats...and a drink....or two:goodvibes

I am not sure about Ariel but Coral was the name of Nemo's Mom that get seaten in the 1st 5 minutes of the movie. My sister called me to tell me as soon as she exited the theater so I could warn the girls "their Mom" gets eaten. :scared1:

:rotfl2:

My DD loved the Jurasic Park movies:confused3 Watched them over and over, But was terrified of the Brothers Grim:confused3 Makes it hard to pick movies for her sometimes.

Three is a Magic Number is going around my house as DS9 is learning multiplication tables.

I have the Schoolhouse Rock DVD box set! It makes me happy.

My favorite is the preamble to the Constitution - We the peo-ple, in order to form a more perfect union...

We have the same set:thumbsup2 Only reason I remember the words to the preamble. I really liked the one for the 19th amendment:goodvibes

We are Cat 11 GTY. We will be singing "Oh, elbow room, elbow room......got to, got to get us some elbow room."

:lmao: That's a good one too:thumbsup2

That's a pretty casual comment! How closely did it "roll through"?:scared1:

About 3 miles from us, figure an F1. The May 3rd one a few years ago couldn't really be catagorized, they called it an F5. We got some golf ball sized hail, lots of wind. We knew something was coming,Harley gets a bit nutso  before the storms come in and I have to "medicate" him. :faint:

Or THIS and rum:

My emu oil was $50.00 an ounce. Hope this stuff is cheaper.

OK, don't you know I just bought a $50.00 bottle of emu oil and after the 2nd surgery last Friday don't you know he wnats me to use something different now. :sad2: Now he wants me to use "Silicone sheeting". Can't wait to find out how much that is going to cost me.

It's a "Typical" May Day here....just had a tornado roll through! We're fine.

I don't miss those days from living most of my life in Missouri and Kansas. I'd rather have the May snow than the scary nights in a basement watching the "live doppler radar".

(and as an aside, never in a million years did I think that when I booked this flight from Portland home to Chicago that I would be delayed in Denver by snow. In May.)

Welcome to Denver!! Yesterday was 82 degress and today it snows! Although it didn't snow that bad today--just a lot of flurries. It only stuck on roofs and cars (and I guess planes!).

Guess what?

...the 100,000th posting!

Anyone up fer a friendly little sprint?

Well April ended poorly for Lisa. When I went to pick her up she was holding up her hand. The Coaches thought she might have broken it on her vault. I took her to an after hours clinic and they took 5 x-rays. They don't think it is broken (YEA!!!). It is currently splinted and she will just condition and do what she can do with the use of one hand for the next few days. Then hopefully on Monday she will be back on track. With Nationals a few weeks away - the timing stinks. Hopefully she will beel better soon.

Hope she gets better soon:hug:

I just rec'd a response from the FE seller. Her user ID on Ebay is : Gradysmommy and she will be in Hawaii until the 13th of May. She will post on Ebay again when she gets back. She is also a Dis-boarder! (I found out when I asked if I could have a user ID personalized in the Mickey head!)
We got one from her too:thumbsup2 Different colors and designs from yours though.

At the end of this month, I'm celebrating my 25th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. Today, my school children surprised me with a special anniversary "lunch with the pastor" Disney style.
Here I am, walking my Mousekeeters around the building to the gym, where we all ate lunch.

Congrats:cheer2: :cheer2:

I guess this was on the Today show, but when sports news seems to be dominated by steroid hearings, overzealous parents, dog fighting, gambling scandals and a Cincinnati Bengal's roster that could fill a whole season of "Cops", it's a refreshing story:
Awesome story:goodvibes I wouldn't want to win because someone on the other team got hurt.

Oh my goodness. I can't believe that you posted about this.

My daughter is in a full leg brace right now with a dislocated knee cap. She is right now at this very moment at cheerleading tryouts but she can't tryout, so we made a DVD of her performances last year and handed it in tot the coach! Please everyone, keep her in your thoughts. She is such a hard worker and made Varsity as a Freshman (which no one can recall that happening in years and years) and did a great job. BUT, her last year's coach got fired and the new coach has no idea what she can do. So I am sitting at my desk with knots in my stomach praying that they give her some consideration and use the DVD that her and DS16 made. THINK GOOD THOUGHTS FOR HER, PLEASE!!!

Anyway, since you brought it up though, what is her long term prognosis? She should be able to get the brace off in about 2 or 3 week...thanks!!!

Okay, I will try to calm down...go Sarah!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Go Sarah:cheer2: :cheer2:

It's a "Typical" May Day here....just had a tornado roll through! We're fine.
 Glad you're ok:thumbsup2

man, that must mean I got brussel sprouts circulating my CSF... no wonder my head hurts.

My brother used to call brussel sprouts "little brains" when we were kids:upsidedow He wouldn't chew them either:rolleyes:

I know we briefly touched on the subject of sharing books onboard
Time to revisit it again?

Who is interested and how should we go about setting it up?
I guess we should also have a plan for anyone who wants their book back when the other person is done

:goodvibes

This is a great idea...

... only problem with my reading material is I don't know if anyone would be intested in my SciFi / Fantasy yarns.

I'm definitely interested:thumbsup2 Forgot how it was done before though. Book plates are a good way of getting a book back if wanted:confused3
