At the end of this month, I'm celebrating my 25th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. Today, my school children surprised me with a special anniversary "lunch with the pastor" Disney style.
Here I am, walking my Mousekeeters around the building to the gym, where we all ate lunch.

And, of course, what would be a celebration without cake for the kids! :)

Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary! What an WONDERful and MAGICal surprise!

Yes, I'd like to check my Emu please? No, as my second bag. Yes, I purchased my tickets many moons ago, I expect the Emu to be grandfathered. No, it's NOT a grandfather Emu. It's a grandfatherED Emu. Of course I have to bring it, it's for the Slippery Emu contest. Sheez. What'd you think I'd drag it around for FUN!!???

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Maybe you should just wrap it in a blanket and carry it on ala I Love Lucy and the cheese episode!

Thank you so much for all of the excellent information - how can we find out the show times for the 22nd August when Disney Magic will be in port only for the morning unfortuately. We would also like to visit the fort but need to time this around the diving schedule. We would rather do this on our own than a Disney tour.
Thank you once again for your kind help.
Since it's a provate show, no way to know the times and the Tour operator will not release the info. The best way is to look at the exit time for ship arranged city tours and add 20 minutes from that, they usually take them to the divers first. The fort opens from 9am til the afternoon, so, leave at the same time the city tour leaves and you will catch the diver show.

Just moving these over.....

So they know you are a Disney nut?

Congratulations!

Congrats on the anniversary! It's so nice that everyone got in on the celebration!

It was a nice surprise. And a Disney theme to boot. Can't go wrong there! :)

That's awesome!! An early congrats on 25 years!!!

Many thanks.

Many, many congratulations on this achievement. And an achievement it is! :goodvibes :goodvibes It takes a special person to stay in the parish for so many years.

Well, I have not been at this parish for 25 years. I've been here for the past five. I'm been ordained for 25 years, but have been to many places in our diocese including the three years I was in prison. Now, now. Don't get the wrong idea. As a chaplain. :) I was one of two chaplains at Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, IN.

It WAS neat.

My kids really like celebrating with me. I think it's because I like Mickey. I'm sure they wouldn't be as excited if I liked, oh, say, Shakespeare. :)

And for the surprise, I surprised them right back and gave them a Jeans Day for tomorrow. That nearly brought the roof down. No uniform?! They'd kill for that kind of day. :thumbsup2

And yes I drink about 3 gallons of water a day with or without Motrin, but thanks.

If I drank that much water I would never be able to leave the bathroom.... And I would be too full to ever eat! LOL!

What an accomplishment Mike :cool1: Looks like you are very popular.

Eldorado Reserve Rum
Midori
Umbrella (Hey it’s vacation!)

Hum... Needs some citrus. Grand Marnier? And there should be something floated on top - for the "Slippery" bit?

Umbrellas are not Emu? No. Feather, maybe?

Sorry, wasn't clear. I meant the parish generally, not your parish specifically. Prison, eh?? Funny, that. Dad spent his honeymoon (yeah, the newlywed kind) at the Oregon State Mental Hospital. And you shouldn't get the wrong idea either... :rotfl2: Dad had 5 churches before he was done (at 43 years). Not certain how it works for you, but you've probably got a few more to go.

Shakespeare Mickey? Now, there's a thought.

Jeans Day!!?? Oh, oh! Can you call our work and give us one too?? :rotfl:

SO.... when I stepped out of the Dentists' office there was an elderly lady standing in front of my car - I asked if she needed a lift. SHe said she was waiting for a cab. I asked if she had just seen my Dentist - and she said yes. I told her I had just finished too and that I would be happy to give her a lift almost anywhere she needed to go. So after a little more chit chat she accepted. On the drive over we talked about how we found our dentist and how he came highly recommended to me. Than as we parted we parked and just talked for a spell. It turns out she was nearly 90 but did not really look a day over 70 to me. She really liked that remark - and it was the truth. I was glad to have saved her cab fare and shared pleasant conversation with her.

I really agree that we need to enjoy our time with family and friends. This was my favorite part of your post! :goodvibes

one word, difficult to avoid when drinking....

On the 10nt oldest dd (23 at the time) used her camera to video her older db (26 at the time) doing this....... He is NOT the type to do things lkie that EVER! LOL! Heaven only knows how many Jack and cokes it took to get him onstage! :rotfl2:

Cheryl, you and John must have always been in the opposite bar as Katherine & Michael!

Time to actually do some work .. gotta run and deliver some Avon and a contract for a party....have a great afternoon!

Same here, I always remember going out to look for our stateroom host/hostess to give them there tip !!!

I've left the tip on the table for them. -- I make sure it is very noticable. ;)
