So we've been doing excursion type gifts for Xmas and B'days to help save $$$. I was thinking about doing something for my sister for Mother's Day. She is Godmother to all three of my boys and she is my support system - really a special person! I am trying to decide between something at a port or something on the ship and I was hoping some of you vets would have experience and could give me advice!

Idea #1: Massage at the Krystal in PV after our zipline

Idea #2: Pedicure w/drinks on the beach after our horse ride in Cabo (if I can locate the place)

Idea #3: Pass to the Rainforest Room (I think that's what it is called) on the ship

Idea #4: Give her a multiple choice certificate and let her pick what she would like to do

Thanks for helping!

I would give her the multiple choice certificate and let her decide . . . I like the PV massage or Cabo pedicure/drinks the best . . . the rainforest room is fine, but it has never wowed me enough to buy a pass (I have just used it when it is included on a package deal).

The Cabo "get nailed while you get hammered" deal is at the Sand Bar, which is pretty hard to miss on Medano beach near the ship, from the google map I looked at, by the way.

ATTENTION DC/MD/VA PIRATES

As our repositioning brethren depart for the west coast on May 10, would anyone be interested in a mini-meet?

My guys have baseball during the day, but we'd be up for something in the evening.

Ohhh, sounds good:thumbsup2

You don't mean flying to Orlando for this meet though, right:confused:

We don't have anything scheduled for that day yet:banana:

We got 3 or our 4 passports today. 9 day turnaround:banana:
Our birth certificates returned, no problems, finally feels real:cloud9:

Pete, where do you find the time? I can't wait to see the finished product (Jack will make a GREAT Norington!)

Yes, I agree, he can pass for a cocky commodore anytime.:) It does consume alot of my time, but it's become a sort of a hobby now. I think when this is all over you'll see me doing revolutionary reenactment scenes in up state New York.

As a non-communications professor I interpreted this to actually mean "we were thinking of working on the dining theme nights for the Eastbound cruise, but all of our planners are at home with high fevers....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I guess I really didn't specify, but I was thinking around here somewhere.

Ours have gone up over $400 EACH!:scared1:

WOW!!!! I think you one the prize!!!;)

Actually Chrissie I took on 2 more costumes, ES gold gown from the first movie for my older daughter who grew up in the last 14 months (now 5'3). And Commodore norington from the first movie for my BIL Jack (it's so him).

So can we have a tiny preview??????:cloud9: :cloud9:

You'll have to make sure and let us know where you're going to be...so many of the battlefields and reenactment areas are very close to us! Actually, we relive the burning of Kingston every 2 years...next time should be 2009, and we've been to Washington's Catonment down in New Windsor before.

By the way, I accessed my wish list on the DCL site tonight . . . I had put it together before all the recent issues (before the change from fishies to a swimming Mickey!) but I thought someone said they had been unable to access a previously completed wish list. If so, try again . . .

Found you Guys!

Haven't checked to see if our flight prices were going up(Virgin America, interesting name) but our flight from NYC to LAX were $200. brand new planes, the prices were rising thought right before we booked a few months ago. Funny. We have our plane tix's but still GTY.

I just checked Virgin America and their prices are still pretty good. I haven't booked our air fare to LA yet and I'm thinking of going with VA.
You wouldn't happen to have a promo code:confused3

Has anyone seen good fares to NYC after the cruise?

, but all of our planners are at home with high fevers....

Yeah I'm betting that come the 18th there's a run on Anal Glaucoma in the DCL offices....

I read on a site that starting June 1 JetBlue will be charging for a second piece of luggage. I just emailed them and asked if this was correct and if it would effect people who already purchased tickets.

It is true and my guess is that it will take effect on June 1 regardless of when you purchased your tickets . . .
Several of the posters have contacted Jet Blue . . .it looks like you MAY be grandfathered in for two bags . . .

I see Julie beat me to the answer...... (hoping it's true, too)

And Commodore norington from the first movie for my BIL Jack (it's so him).

Jack will be an awesome Norrington...:thumbsup2 Where has Jack been BTW?

You don't mean flying to Orlando for this meet though, right:confused:

That would have been cool

We don't have anything scheduled for that day yet:banana:

ooooh field trip to Wegmans... (ok that's just exciting to me i guess and Laurie's DM)

We seem to be free so far that day too....

I think when this is all over you'll see me doing revolutionary reenactment scenes in up state New York.

You know Peter...we have a really good one up in Gettysburg in a couple months. Will costume be done for July?

Just wanted to let everyone know that Monica is ok...

Still in shock a little but trying to regroup and plan a counter-assault on her line of work...

She said she would try to make it to chat tomorrow nite and sends her love. :lovestruc

(or maybe she said she'd send a typhoon or a plague of crustacea upon us all...NAHHHH!!!)

  Doing the PIF dance in Victoria

Our TA finally got thru to DCL. Confirmed our onboard credit. We don't have to surrender our passports. :thumbsup2 But, the biggest news she managed to get is ................

Actually I was thinking we have to schedule a Wegmans DIS meet at some point. Does your Wegmans have wine tasting too :rolleyes1

Does your Wegmans have wine tasting too :rolleyes1

I don't have one...:headache:

Closest one would be Dulles for us....

The one near where we lived in Wmspt, Pennsyltucky didn't have Wine due to PA liquor laws..(liquor/wine is only sold in state run stores)

Has anyone seen good fares to NYC after the cruise?

Hi Jack! Haven't seen much of anything that is decent...we ended up booking Delta using a combo of miles and cash for our return trip.
