Off to Cleveland this a.m. for the kids first communions this weeekend.

Yeah I'm betting that come the 18th there's a run on Anal Glaucoma in the DCL offices....

:scared:

ooooh field trip to Wegmans... (ok that's just exciting to me i guess and Laurie's DM)

We seem to be free so far that day too....

I'm up for anything.
Although DH may think I'm crazy for dragging him to a grocery store on a Sat. night. Nevermind, he knows I'm crazy. :upsidedow

Just wanted to let everyone know that Monica is ok...

Still in shock a little but trying to regroup and plan a counter-assault on her line of work...

She said she would try to make it to chat tomorrow nite and sends her love. :lovestruc

(or maybe she said she'd send a typhoon or a plague of crustacea upon us all...NAHHHH!!!)

Could ya let her know that I prefer a typhoon to a plague? Thanks.

Glad she's doing OK.

Theme nights should be set by May 3.

YAY! Your TA seems to know more than Guest Services!

Anyway, have you flown on Virgin America before ? Are their meals worth buying or are we better off bringing on some sandwiches:confused3

We're just goingto wait until we get to DL to eat junk food. :)

Shore Ex...
Cabo is a sailboat charter (with M)
:boat:

Oh, and yesterday morning, I dropped DS6 off at Kindergarten. While waiting in the Kindergarten yard, I had the singular experience of having him empty his coat pockets into my hands…

An Easter Egg Shell, crushed to small bits, Pink
A lump of yellow beeswax for shaping
A bit of wool, undyed, stuck to the beeswax
A piece of twig
The remains of a ski lift ticket
The wire from the ski lift ticket, re-bent to a new use (use unknown)
Two pieces of tree bark, one large, one small
A small piece of felt, yellow
A small white stone, vaguely shaped like an arrowhead
A small piece of shiny silver Mylar, with most of the shine rubbed off

Such are the ingredients of boyhood.

Whatever you do, DO NOT look in his backpack.
In my world, school folder and library books go in. School folder and library books come out. I'm afraid to dig any deeper.

So...today I get a phone call from a DCL Supervisor about the VR..he says "good news!" I have the person who you can speak to...he then proceeds to give me the name and number of the representative who told me that there isn't anything I can do about it except wait! I thanked him politely and said "she is the one who sent me to you!" So... no resolution..I will just go and enjoy my day and it will work out! :wizard:

So what you're saying is you got the phone version of swimming Mickey.

Once - soon after United did away with in flight meals and charged for thier "snack boxes".... we brought on board a take out Chinese dinner featuring a giant whole lobster. It was a riot as the flight crew paused to gawk at it. We only did so because we had dinner the nite before at this restuarant - and decided something like what wasserved at a neighboring table looked far too good not to try - so we odered a couple new dishes including the lobster. Even though it was reheated the brough on board warm - it was far better then those insulting snack boxes.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
That's awesome! I need lobster for my next flight!

Hey. Has anyone heard from Roger?

Did the Cracken get him?

Cotton, where are youuuuuuuuu??

Whew what a week..........I am finally all ketched-up! Looking forward to a peaceful weekend - DH is taking bothchildren and going camping so I have the entire weekend to myself to do what i want!

sk8ingmom - I would love to help with a journal page - did you get enough volunteers or is there still room for one more??

Also, the weekend of May 10 that you mentioned is CRAZY over here. DD birthday will be celebrated that weekend along with some special friends of ours so we will have to pass but GREAT idea!!

Everyone, hope you have a wonderful weekend. Special hugs to those who need it (and those who don't)!:lovestruc

Mornin' guys! Just a quick run in,time to go feed the darlins. Have a Freaky Friday and see ya tonight!!

Peter, I went ahead and booked. $169 for Dulles to LAX. Then I realized that they charge for meals. Is this becoming the trend as well as the extra baggage fees:confused3 (I don't travel a lot, can you tell:rolleyes: )

Anyway, have you flown on Virgin America before ? Are their meals worth buying or are we better off bringing on some sandwiches:confused3

Good morning everyone!

Sorry Laurie,

I happen to have no promo code in my cabin. We have never flown VA before. They just started flying this Spring. VA is a new branch of Virgin Atlantic. Has a new fleet of planes for the American market. I didn't know about the meal thing. That's why they can afford to keep the price cheap.

Has anyone seen good fares to NYC after the cruise?

We're not flying back right after the cruise -- there is a major construction project going on at my girls' school so we are doing the 5 night cruise then a few days at WDW . . . I got a terrific rate flying back on JetBlue for Sept. 10 but of course that won't help you on Sept. 1st.

It was me Julie!!! :thumbsup2 My wish list appeared but I could not add or delete!!! I just tried now and it is working!!!!:worship:  :dance3: :woohoo: :cool1: :yay:

Thanks!!! Andrew needs to try now!!!:rolleyes1

Good! So now at least they do have that fixed . . .

Monica is too tough to give up without a fight . . . thanks for the update.

I know what you mean.... If we flew JB home...THe 1st is over $200 a person to Dulles... Drops to $59 fares if we could wait till Wednesday 3rd...but i don't have enough annual leave to cover that extra time....

We might come back Tuesday on SW though first thing in the AM. That way we can have a nice water park day at Disney.

BRING YOUR OWN
If their food is anything like the food on their transatlantic flight it is nasty
I think one of the worst airline food that I ever had

At first I thought..wow..I'm not that many posts behind...then I tried to "quote" and couldn't...finaly came across that the thread was locked...took me a moment but figured it out (had highlighting done tonight..maybe it fried what brain I have left)

Thank you to everyone who offered their table and good thoughts..it will work out.

If I had thought about it at the time..I should have asked about Mass and the theme nights but I wasn't thinking straight (DCL forgot about the time difference!)

Have a great Friday everyone!

Desiree

:goodvibes Deriree, I did the same thing. LOL I should have realized it when the quote boxes weren't there. :lmao:

I bet you all were the envy of the plane:rotfl: :rotfl: I don't know what it is about getting settled in the plane and then the hunger settles in.:)

I think I'm crazy. I booked the tour that starts the after AFTER the cruise ends.... Take 15 days getting away from LA and then Im right back there the next day giving Disney more money! Yay!

Ok, its not as crazy as it seems, I live in Anaheim, so Im not flying back to LA for just a tour after just leaving there. I am crazy for booking the tour given how much I already go to Disneyland and have done a lot/most of the things on the tour.

Enjoy your tour and your extra days of Disney magic:goodvibes

Actually Chrissie I took on 2 more costumes, ES gold gown from the first movie for my older daughter who grew up in the last 14 months (now 5'3). And Commodore norington from the first movie for my BIL Jack (it's so him).

WOW! You are crazy!:lmao:

I got this from JetBlue:

JetBlue will be charging $20.00 for a second piece of checked luggage for
tickets purchased on or
after May 1st for travel beginning on June 1st.

So I guess most of us are ok!If we have purchased our tix already....

Chrissie

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!!!

I am off to the hospital for phase 2 of the nose "fix". This should be the last surgery I will need. Yay!

Hey Crew, I found you over on the new thread! Let's see, a quick update on the topics at hand....

No cabin #, still GTY.

Airfare has gone up $45 for our MCO-SMF return, and $9 for the trip to LA (SMF-SNA). So, no great shakes there.
Our flight is well over $500 now from our $150 or so we paid, but there are still quite a bit from here for around $200.

Shore Ex...
Cabo is a sailboat charter (with M)
PV is zip lines with the Crew (but at 2pm)
Acapulco is wander around and see what's what
Aruba is a dive/snorkle charter (with Sarangel)
Cartagena we'll probably wander around, still figuring that one out.

So, no DCL shore ex to book. Still figuring out Palo, spa, etc.

Ours...........
Cabo-Fishing & Cabo Wabo and Ziplining & CW
PV- Catamaran
Acapulco ???
Aruba-- Jolly Pirates and then a sunset sail
Cartagena--waiting on info from Mr. Emerald
I am hoping to not book any withDCL either

Hope to have the t-**** pre-order website up and running tomorrow, will be asking a few folks to test it out before we open it up to the rest of the crew.

:woohoo: :woohoo: Thanks again:goodvibes

Taking our new (used) pop-up out for her shake down cruise this weekend. A membership campground gave use 2 free nights if we listen to their talk. We'll show up with our three dogs, and they'll think better of it... ;)

Have fun!!:goodvibes
