We were looking at doing the dolphins/water park not with DCL in Puerto Vallarta. Is anyone else thinking of doing this? We are also going back and forth between the zip lines and catamaran in Cabo. Any opinions on that? I'm concerned about safety on a zip line in Mexico. I am also worried about mosquitos where the zip line is since my daughter is allergic to their bites. Thanks!![]()

Just got back from garage sales and did not buy a thing!!!![]()
Isn't that one of the signs of the apocalypse?
E-mailed DCL. I tried not to ask for too much, just some indication of when formal, semi, and pirate night will be so I can think about when to book Palo
Here is the oh-so-helpful response:
As a former communication professor and admitted word nerd, I would like to point out that she regrets they are working feverishly. Not that she doesn't have an answer, but that they are working.
The dolphins/water park in Puerto Vallarta, gets very good reviews, better than Cabo, I havent been there myself but highly praised, Cici at Acapulco I can recommend from personal use.
The only problem that I can see is that you won't be able to enjoy the water park that is there. The excursion for the EB cruise is only 2.5 hours
Starting times that will be available are 7am, 8:15am and 9:45am

Just how is everyone finding out times for the excursions? I've missed that part![]()
I'm looking into a private dolphin watching/snorkel excursion in PV for my DD and I. DH and DS might be doing the zipline.
I am a travel agent and have been in contact with the excursion department at DCL as I have been trying to figure out which dolphin excursion we want to do and those are the times that she gave me for the Acapulco
Got to say the Water park at Cici wasnt so good, so it isnt a problem missing, I went for the Dolphins which was very good indeed. Two pools and you swam in both, a big public pool arena and a smaller intimate one where pictures were taken.
I found it very good, lots of interaction not just one dolphin but many and as it is not in the sea you do not loose control like Cozumel or Costa Maya.
Safe for the kids.

Have you tried contacting them directly about it?
I emailed them in December and they told me that DCL had booked up all the available spots during the time that the ship will bein port. They also said that I would be better off booking it through DCL because if the ship doesn't make it into port for some reason I would receive a refund. If there was availability and I would book it through them directly and the ship didn't make it into port they wouldn't offer a refund
Here is their refund and cancellation policy from their site
Cancellations and Changes: Once you receive a confirmation your reservation is guaranteed. In order to maintain our commitment to all of our guests Cabo Dolphins operates a strict cancellation policy:
48 hours or more prior to excursion date - 100% refund
24 hours prior to excursion date we will accept date changes but no refunds
No shows or late arrivals no refund
If you have contacted them and they have told you differently please let me know as we are going to try to book this through DCL
Can you post any times you have for other excursions? Acapulco - Cliff Diver excursions and Caragena - city tour excursions would be appreicated. Thanks.
The only excursions I asked about were the dolphin times in Acapulco and the following
Acapulco Cliff divers and city tour - 7:45 am
