ATTENTION DC/MD/VA PIRATES

As our repositioning brethren depart for the west coast on May 10, would anyone be interested in a mini-meet?

My guys have baseball during the day, but we'd be up for something in the evening.

Has anyone checked the airfare prices recently???? :confused3 Our tickets went up $125 each ticket since we bought them!!!

I know most are die-hard DCL fans here, but just thought I'd post what the inside of the new Genesis Class of RCCL ships will look like for those who have not seen it. Suppose to be coming out late 2009.

Wow...that's awesome!!

Hi everyone! Great first post, Tom . . .

I also saw the Broadway show several times before reading the book, but liked them both . . . the book is more "adult" and a little darker . . . the musical is not too kid oriented, but more uplifting . . . There is a sequel to the book as well, "Son of a Witch."

I saw the musical, read the book, read son of a witch and then saw the musical again.
Loved the musical and book..but they are very different!

MI know I will be our fotogs worst nightmare!
Thanks for giving me DL/DLCA!!! I need to stop running around the room now!!! I will happy to take on others if no one volunteers! Thanks for the samples too!

Deanna
Thanks for linking me to the video. The photos are beautiful!! What beautiful memories!

We were looking at doing the dolphins/water park not with DCL in Puerto Vallarta. Is anyone else thinking of doing this? We are also going back and forth between the zip lines and catamaran in Cabo. Any opinions on that? I'm concerned about safety on a zip line in Mexico. I am also worried about mosquitos where the zip line is since my daughter is allergic to their bites. Thanks!:)

We were looking at doing that one too, but I read reviews on Tripadvisor and they weren't good at all! Not sure what to do about that!

I'm glad you got a chance to look at those. Like I said, I loved how artistic the photo compositions were. I hope you find someone really great.

The dolphins/water park in Puerto Vallarta, gets very good reviews, better than Cabo, I havent been there myself but highly praised, Cici at Acapulco I can recommend from personal use.

Just to be clear, there are 2 dolphin parks in Puerto Vallarta, one gets great reviews and the other one with the attached water park hasn't got good reviews. My prior comment was about the one with the attached water park! :)

Deanna or Lorri, did either of you get response from DCL that I did regarding Mike's offer to do a Mass?

I post one picture and he has the thread closed and locked? When he said he had powers, I didn't realize he had POWERS! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Have fun..... i saw it twice.... (once at Kennedy Center; once in Philly)

It is sooooo good. i even cried the first time. i have the soundtrack to if you want a copy...

It was great!!!. Not an empty seat. I was never able to find the soundtrack online. Glad I decided to do it solo. Took me 20 minutes to make it thru the bathroom line. ;)

We will be at the port that day. Hopefully we will see Laura taking a picture of us trying to get her on ours:lmao:

Wee the younger dgks are here. Must figure out what to give them for dinner.

Yes Tom, I did. And I sent a new request to the email address listed with all the info they needed. I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

Seeing all the posts about non DCL excursions, I just wanted to remind everyone that in the event we don't dock at a particular port (ie: 2005 EB repo we missed Cabo due to hurricane) only DCL excursions are refundable. That being said, fortunately our non DCL excursions in 2005 were not in Cabo but I am a little aprehensive about booking for this cruise.

Glad you had a great time Arlene!!!! :goodvibes

E-mailed DCL. I tried not to ask for too much, just some indication of when formal, semi, and pirate night will be so I can think about when to book Palo
Here is the oh-so-helpful response:

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

Regrettably at this time we are feverishly working on the dining theme
nights for the Eastbound Panama Canal cruise.

We greatly appreciate your understanding. Please feel free to check back
with us as the deadline gets closer.

As a former communication professor and admitted word nerd, I would like to point out that she regrets they are working feverishly. Not that she doesn't have an answer, but that they are working.

Isn't that one of the signs of the apocalypse?

As a non-communications professor I interpreted this to actually mean "we were thinking of working on the dining theme nights for the Eastbound cruise, but all of our planners are at home with high fevers....

Today I was at Kennedy Space Center playing tourist, and took their history of Canaveral cruise. What did I see in the distance if not the Wonder.

I must confess, it's a good thing I didn't have my passport with me, or I would have been sorely tempted.....
