Looks like the West coast cruises aren't doing as well as they had hoped. I just got an Email offering category 12 on a bunch of cruises at $1199. Didn't they sell out in 2005?

I read on a site that starting June 1 JetBlue will be charging for a second piece of luggage. I just emailed them and asked if this was correct and if it would effect people who already purchased tickets.

I hope it is not true

Haven't checked to see if our flight prices were going up(Virgin America, interesting name) but our flight from NYC to LAX were $200. brand new planes, the prices were rising thought right before we booked a few months ago. Funny. We have our plane tix's but still GTY.

Actually just checked the Virgin America site. Price for our flight still $199. NY-LAX one way. Out of the 31 seats sold on the flight 13 of them belong to our party. Us (4), Jack (6), Matapulco (3).

Seeing all the posts about non DCL excursions, I just wanted to remind everyone that in the event we don't dock at a particular port (ie: 2005 EB repo we missed Cabo due to hurricane) only DCL excursions are refundable. That being said, fortunately our non DCL excursions in 2005 were not in Cabo but I am a little aprehensive about booking for this cruise.

Not necessarily -- the company I booked my excursions in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta (the zipline!) has a "no port, no pay" policy, as does the Jolly Pirates in Aruba . . .

It is true and my guess is that it will take effect on June 1 regardless of when you purchased your tickets . . .

We are both well..major excursion at DL and cruise discussions going on! Wedding plans are going smoothly...checking out DJ's and photographers....Doing a little at a time so we aren't overwhelmed!

How's the costume?

Tom, I meant to post earlier but stupid work got in the way...I got the exact same response as you did. I checked the thread and saw that Deanna has already sent DCL the official request.

Actually Chrissie I took on 2 more costumes, ES gold gown from the first movie for my older daughter who grew up in the last 14 months (now 5'3). And Commodore norington from the first movie for my BIL Jack (it's so him).

So we've been doing excursion type gifts for Xmas and B'days to help save $$$. I was thinking about doing something for my sister for Mother's Day. She is Godmother to all three of my boys and she is my support system - really a special person! I am trying to decide between something at a port or something on the ship and I was hoping some of you vets would have experience and could give me advice!

Idea #1: Massage at the Krystal in PV after our zipline

Idea #2: Pedicure w/drinks on the beach after our horse ride in Cabo (if I can locate the place)

Idea #3: Pass to the Rainforest Room (I think that's what it is called) on the ship

Idea #4: Give her a multiple choice certificate and let her pick what she would like to do

That is good to hear because I know many people were out of luck in 2005 for missed excursions in Cabo! I will check the ones you mentioned, thanks.

Have you tried contacting them directly about it?

I emailed them in December and they told me that DCL had booked up all the available spots during the time that the ship will bein port. They also said that I would be better off booking it through DCL because if the ship doesn't make it into port for some reason I would receive a refund. If there was availability and I would book it through them directly and the ship didn't make it into port they wouldn't offer a refund

Here is their refund and cancellation policy from their site
Cancellations and Changes: Once you receive a confirmation your reservation is guaranteed. In order to maintain our commitment to all of our guests Cabo Dolphins operates a strict cancellation policy:

48 hours or more prior to excursion date - 100% refund
24 hours prior to excursion date – we will accept date changes but no refunds
No shows or late arrivals – no refund

If you have contacted them and they have told you differently please let me know as we are going to try to book this through DCL

I didn't dream this then! This is the first item on my list to book on the 18th.

You should just give her a certificate allowing her to hang with this gang... more gift than anyone deserves....
