Group Tastings

Have you ever wanted to learn the difference between Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc? Have you wondered whether the rule really is white with fish, red with beef? Does the term “shaken not stirred” mean anything to you other than James Bond :cool2: ? Are you just as confused as I am.....Barley, Hops, Pilsner, Lager, Stout.....:confused3 what does it all mean? “Lick, Slam, Suck” - no it's not x-rated but do you know what it means?

Come join us for group tastings. We are working on arranging private tastings during our sea days. At this time we do not have specific details, but we are looking for a show of interest. We are requesting Wine, Beer, Tequila, Rum and Martini tastings. No, we will not be tasting all those at the same time. There will be separate sessions planned for each. And for those of you (like me ) who want to attend them all, they will be scheduled at different times. (And hopefully different days!) These will be exactly like the tastings that DCL regularly schedules, but will be limited to those folks in our group. Each tasting will cost $12-15 per person (subject to DCL's current rates).

If you are interested in signing up, please send an email to Laurie (MrsScooby) at mrsscoobie@yahoo.com -- take note, Scoobie is spelled differently in the email address. Please provide your Name, DISBoard Name, Tasting preference (or choose LUSH for all tastings :drinking1 ), and how many people for each tasting.

As we get more details we'll let you all know. We are hoping to have the schedule prior to boarding.

Kristina and M, great having dinner tonight!

Thanks.

]This my DD's car parked in the driveway. They called her to tell her not to come in to work (she works retail).

Glad she did not have to venture out.

Your house is gorgeous! And Morgan and Bailey are such cuties!!

Okay....I'll add to the snow show......I had to shovel a path for Sloopy (Pomeranian) to go potty. The snow was taller than him. This was taken early this morning, we got about another 5" since then.

The Archbishop even cancelled all Saturday evening Masses.

I took some pics too. Although 14"+ of s**w is probably nothing to our Northern neighbors, it's a record here in Central Ohio.

Love your Furr Kids! Are they Briards or Bearded Collies?

This looks like my yard - we had 16 inches this am when we had to go to a soccer game - while we were signing in they were busy calling coaches for all games after noon. ours was at 9 am - there is a good 6+ more inches out there..... SPRING where the H3LL are you!

Talked to DD Megan today....the one who just moved from here in Arizona (born & raised) to Ohio. She said that's the most snow she's ever seen in one place! Said their husky loves it, but they had to shovel a clear patch for the little dog.
The pictures are pretty, but I'm sure glad I don't live in it any more. Born & raised in Nebraska.

Hey Roger!
Sorry for shouting, I just wanted to get your attention.
What's the weather supposed to be like for us this weekend?

I hope I can kick this durn cold/flu. I'm trying.

Reminds me of the time that DS was working at DL and we came home and told us a story. Alright folks - remember this is a 20 yr old (at the time) everything is funny to them - :sad2: but one day when DL was overrun with OEA - they climbed into the monorail and it broke down. They had to back-up the monorail and he said it was bleeping the whole time it backed up. He said the whole crew was cracking up - one big cattle call.

He said - someone put out this rallying call - "Can you say MOOOOOVVEEE it?"

OK I admit it - it isn't funny but its one of those things you have to laugh at.

As for the monorail - it wasn't hurt - they just backed it up -got the people off and then backed it up all the way to the depot for service. Out of commission for a couple of days I think he said. Came back almost quite as new.

Oh my....I'm fat and I can see the humor it that myself! :rotfl:

Hey Stacey I not that old that you have to shout! :lmao: :lmao:

From the National Weather Service for Anaheim

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.

Friday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 52.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67.

Looks pretty good, mornings have been cool with a little fog. I still think Saturday is a shorts day. :cool1:

Hope that your feeling better.

I hope everyone who has been getting hit with the snow is safe and warm. The pictures you posted are amazing! We need an ark here - been raining since last night and lots of flooding going on all around us between all the rain and the snow that's melting. We came out of church tonight and noticed that water was up to the top of the sewer grate!

Just got back from a nice dinner with Tom, Kristina, Kristina's DH Andy, my DH Steve and our monkeys. We probably watched the POTUS motorcade go by. We had a lovely evening.

what a bunch of chuckle-heads

heehee chuckle-heads. I like that.

My co-workers also give me a hard time about being an old man so I'm used to it. Let's hope I don't have to take you up on your offer :rotfl: although the doctor did tell me a cruise was the worst vacation possible for someone with gout!

Not if we beat you to the rich foods first. Do you plan to take part in the Bacon Scrum? I believe we are printing t-shirts for the event.

We are in SW Ohio - between Dayton and Cincinnati. And you can have all our snow. The pine trees look pretty though.

Since we now have about 14" of snow and DH is shoveling the driveway for the 4th time in 2 days I decided to work on my dress for TOAL. And of course the sewing machine is acting up.:headache: I think it is time for a new machine, mine is probably 20 years old. I haven't used it much in the last 5 years or so.

I guess I will DIS instead.;)

DIS is the reason I still don't have kitchen curtains...that and I don't really know how to use the sewing machine I have.

Kristina and M, great having dinner tonight!

Thanks.

right back at ya.

The Archbishop even cancelled all Saturday evening Masses.

Now I know that is hard core snow! We once sat through a Mass where one of the parishioners collapsed, someone called 911, the paramedics showed up, and the priest never misssed a beat or acknowledged what was going on.

....."you buy your fine wine in the same store as your toilet paper! :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

although I do appreciate a fine toilet paper.

They are Beardies. You know your dogs. Not many people who see them know what they are. Thanks.

:) I never miss Westminster! I have an almost 1yr old Boxer...Harley.

This is him during our big ice storm last Dec.

Sorry! Ssshhhhh....I'll be more quiet.
Sounds like it will be about the same as it always is this time of year. Was thinking of wearing shorts (well, technically a skort) on the plane and all day Friday. Hmmmm.....

I suppose now with all the pictures of snow is not the time to mention that my rose bushes have their first blooms?? :duck:

Is anyone thinking about doing a massage at Krystal's in PV?
Everyone on CC raves about the massages and the price is definitely right.
Might be just the thing about a hard day of ziplining. :)
Not sure if timing will work or not.

Coral

Sounds interesting....massage or shopping...
Not sure about timing too:confused3
