Hey Cheryl isn't it great?:cool1: DH is 13 years younger than me. I keep telling him age is just a number. I don't think it makes much difference as long as they are over 21 and legal.:lmao: :lmao:

OK - something happened to my post - had to wait until I came home to see if it posted - now its time for another life appt which I cannot miss - I am truly  Doesn't life know that I need my dose of DIS? I've missed 5 days and am basically 40 pages behind.

Anybody else feel like the White Rabbit from Alice? Or is it the Cheshire Cat? Either way - I need some of the stuff he's smoking to calm these nerves :upsidedow

Be back later - :wave2:

I would share but I just ran out!!!:rolleyes1

Help required!!!

You guys are so good at dispensing advice, thought I'd ask....Should I go ahead with laser eye surgery? It will cost £400 ($800) per eye, hurt like hell for a couple of days, unable to drive for a week, but once fully healed should have 20/20 visioni.e. no glasses/contact lenses required:banana: . From what the consultant said, I should also wait until after TOAL as you can't be in strong sunlight for a couple of months after treatment.
a) Anyone out there been through this?
b) Is it a good price? I would consider a trip abroad for a better price (recovery in WDW sounds good !)

TIA

Celestine
I haven't been through it, but the price is consistent with my knowledge of it. My mum had it done and had drops afterwards for a while it worked but i wouldnt do it before the cruise.

I'll second.... However, i thought you disliked Hershey's, Andrew?

A good surgeon is more expensive here. One of my co-workers just had it done in January. He's doing fine. Me i'd do it except the eye dr's can't guarantee yet that you still wouldn't need glasses or contacts again later in life.

Cadburys is the best chocolate ever! Hersheys, well lets just say I do not like it, Is Starbucks connected to it.

haven't had it myself, but a friend was researching and found it was about $1500 per eye average, so sounds like you found a good price, just make sure it covers everything and there won't be extra charges some where

I had Lasik a couple of years ago. I guess overall I am glad I had the surgery but I am not 20/20 and I now have dry-eye. I went to the Opthamologist that had done more Lasik surgeons than anyone in the world. :sad2: Did not help me any.

Quick update before I ketchup Brain scan normal !!! yea !!
So maybe I'm just turning into a real pirate... eye patch for my bum eye :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Finances have been tight here and the "right" thing for us to do would be to not go on the trip. However,i don't think i could deal with not going right now (well not without some serious booze, medication, and/or therapy anyway)
DH kinda feels the same way as we might not have a chance to do something like this in the next few years and if we don't go he has nothing this year to look forward too. (He really hates his job and/or boss and gets no raise this year. Me neither for that matter.)

Kristina, the right thing to do would be to not look at how much the TOAL is costing !!

Of course, herein lies a major problem for this cruise.... WHO IS EVERYONE?

Are you M&M's Mom, Marlene, Coral? I'm challenged for names on the best of days, now everyone has multiple names....

I hope no one is offended when I:

  1. Check cheat sheet
  2. Call you by your DIS screen name
  3. Stare blankly as I think "name... name.... darn it, why can't I remember names"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Tom, my name on the cruise will be "Can I get you another drink"..., so when you see me just say Hey, Can I get you another drink... See, I'm always thinking about making other's lives easier :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think you are right. :thumbsup2

The stitches had a big sticky gauze type stuff (Xeroform) on them when I left the hospital. They said it would fall off on its own in 2-3 days. Well I guess it is drying up because it is getting smaller but as it shrinks, it is taking part of my face w/ it, pulling my skin. I am ready for the dang thing to just falloff but that will leave the stitches exposed and I will really look pretty then. :lmao:

The itching will start soon!!! :flower3: Except for my burnt skin from the neosporin....The scar just looks like another wrinkle!!:rolleyes1

Has anyone else had a crazy day so far today? it's been feeling like a full moon type of crazy... or it could just be me.

I dunno, there are better chocolates out there, but most are boutique. Scharfenberger, Godiva, CocoaBella (here in SF). And I'd put Ghirardelli up against Cadburys most any day. Guess we're just spoiled.

Don't much like Hershey's - too waxy (Starbuck's connection, notwithstanding).
