Those could be T. collins :confused3 but I don't remember and no it did not lead to pina c's. This was in Montana in the mid-70s and I don't think anyone had ever heard of pina coladas. :rolleyes1

Thanks! The pics of us are great to see on the site. It makes it begin to feel more "real".

Welcome aboard!!!! :wave2:

We just got in from the Daddy & Daughter dance... I'll edit some pictures in - in a few minutes - and we got one of her school mates to accept with going to Disneyland tomorrow. Hopefully we'll not get a last minute reversal again.

And Tina, like you ... I too missed friday nite chat. We had the regular gymnastics - but then I went and mentioned how Cheryl found a JC Penny sale where things were really marked down 95-98%... and my spouse flashed me those pretty eyes she always flashes me and asked if we could swing by JCP after gymnastics to "glance". How could I resist, eh?

... and, Say Tina... if ya still hangin' out here tonite - let me know. We can do the grand unveiling of Secret Mickey/Minnie/Santas if ya like ... or we can diplomaticly allow another week for folks to catch up and ship things if they've not shipped yet? ;) I don't mind either way. I'm eternally the happy go lucky sort. :thumbsup2

What a great picture. It must have been a fabulous event.

Did you meet up with Lisa?? I think she was going today.

gosh, I hope I got the name right, I know someone else was going today

we went Friday night. It was a pre-event for members only. Saturday was the grand opening.

Hi Everyone! Stupid cold made another comeback, so I've been going to bed early the last couple days which really cuts into DIS time :sad2: Just doing a little quick ketchup this morning before I really get going for the day...

OMG!!!!!

We went to the PO last Saturday (2/2) to apply for our passports...

Well DD went out to the mailbox and just came in and says, "Mom,i think we got our passports."

OMG we did get them....

I guess somewhere there's alot of government employees with nothing to do:rolleyes1 this time of year.

HOLY CARP PASSPORTS IN A WEEK!!!!!

PS i don't even think the checks have cleared my bank yet.....

My pasport just came yesterday also! It took about 3 weeks, which I thought was pretty good until I saw yours!

I did see a drop-waist dress that would solve that problem, but DD declared it "ugly" while it was still on the hanger, so I didn't try it on. Looking back, I should have anyway.

I have been slowly learning to try it on, even if it doesn't look good on the hangar. Way to many things that look great on the hangar, look terrible on me .... and every so often, something that looks terrible on the hangar really works! I am very slowly learning what features to look for that work for me (color, skirt length, waist location, neck line, etc) and if it meets a few of those criteria, I try it on no matter what it looks like on the hangar. Good luck on the search - I generally have to try on 30 or 40 dresses to find 1 that I like (really, I am not exagerating - I started keeping count a few years ago :rotfl2: ) When my mom dragged me out shopping a week or so ago, I tried on 16 dresses and didn't find even 1 that was a "maybe".

Seems a lot of Westbound Panama crossing cruisers had a lot of difficulty booking shore trips last night, error messages and the DCL site might have crashed,

Reports of only being able to book the kids club.

Good Morning everyone. Hope you all have a great Sunday.

I was looking at the Wesbound thread this morning. Looks like people had trouble booking for several hours.....:sad2: :sad2:
I wonder if we are going to have the same problems.

Penny

Sounds as if there are plenty of problems with the booking procedure for the Westbound. Hope they sort it out before we have to give it a go in May.

Yes predictable, but DCL do not do anything about it, your usual Caribbean cruise isn't usually full by the time shore trips open up, these panama crossings are full, and many are repeat cruisers so many book at 90 days far more than other cruises.

On the 2005 Panama crossing there was 1750 repeat cruisers, and the system crashed on the day, in fact it went back to telephones at one point as they recently opened up on-line booking.

The servers it seems can cope with usual traffic, but they cannot cope with increased requests at this level, now maybe it isn't worth the cost of having extra servers on standby for the occasional peak, if thats the case, DCL, should stagger the release more, maybe Palo at 90 days and shore trips at 89 days.

We have also seen this on the release of special cruise bookings such as this cruise, so they havent fixed it as yet.

The good news is people were able to book a lot, later, the cruise is very long, so there are plenty of Palo days, that helps, and of course you can book if you get on early in port, on the ship.

This is sad to hear. I don't understand what is so different about booking the repos. But last year we had troubles booking for the Med repo as well. I had hope that things would have been fixed by now.

I guess it may be the fact that so many repo cruisers are past cruisers and the system gets jammed. I also know that there was some issue in booking if you were linked with a non-CC member.

I hear for the EB, they're going to take reservations alphabetically, by last name. Did I tell everyone I changed my last name to Aardvark? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, I am really not good at fashion stuff! What is Spanx?

What Crash said.:) It actually is pretty comfortable. I comes in many different shapes and sizes. I like the one that has a little longer leg than the one Crash was nice enough to share with us. The only thing I do not like about it is unless you wear something very slinky (think nylon, silk etc) it kinda of sticks to the fabric. I love that you have no panty lines w/out having to go commando or wear a thong. I know TMI.

I am sure glad there is only 1 DCL excursion I am going to book and if I don't get into Palo, I will live. The WB'ers are making me very nervous. I don't think anything is worth fighting DCL computers for 5 hours. Our 90 day mark is on a Monday too so that should be interesting.

[ story. a so called dr. almost got several people killed.did get
a few of us hurt. writng rx.s..methdone, excessive.until over the limits.
created..a monster. threatening him for more drugs. what to do?..sent
to us. on his first night. the other guy called in. me & 4 women. with
a ward of 25 + , some dangerous. he sized us up. and acted out.,
attempting to kill us..to get our narcotic keys. people in the trenches..
understand reality, like our lives depends on it. well, it does. that's why
these tv experts ,are not impressive to us. they are not in "reality".
we are~!..fyi, those outside, looking in...might be surprise..how dependable
women staff/rn's are. * nothing was done, .wonder why...these
dangerous..people..are free..in society...think there should've been any
corrective measures? ]

:scared1: :scared1: That is horrible! Until we build more prisons here and make people serve their whole sentences--there will always be people released who shouldn't be. And some that even after their sentence is served shouldn't be allowed to go back to "free society". I think our prison system needs a lot of work--they are there to be punished, not watch TV, surf the web etc........
Sorry folks, I deal with it on a local basis all the time with shoplifters, dishonest employees and robberies and it is very frustrating for me.

Oh, was it good?? I want to see that! I'm a huge U2 fan!

I love U2 also, they always put on a great concert, I can imagine the 3D must be great!

Please don't be reluctant!

This is really a fun aspect of the DIS community. Let me illustrate a little without spoiling anything. Here are a few doors with thier door decorating and the FISH EXTENDERS hanging off the "fish".

Our first exerience with this was really very pleasant. I don't want to really say anything too specific - except to say this aspect of joiining in thre community is not to be missed. I spent HOURS walking the decks late at nite with DIS friends passing out our FISH gifts. SO yeah... on the other hand I frankly shudder at the thought of hauling enuf fer every cabin of DIS friends on the sailing.... if they ALL had fish extenders that is.

Don't be discouraged by the "numbers" of people signed up. Not everyone will participate in every event, activity, etc.

Just be patient, see what appeals to you and go forward....

I had no idea. My son is 12 so I guess we'll be in the same boat. Haven't registered him yet because he's still trying to figure out the perfect ID. Hmmm.....what to do???

I would encourage everyone to follow the procedure laid out by DIS, if you use incorrect birthdate/age, they may be forced to deactivate your ID if there is a problem.....

I scored 2 shirts for me and 3 for DS. Total out of pocket $21.23.

What ever happened to Omar's phone number? I'm not feeling good about my dresses either.

Just remember, its mid-winter, spring is coming and we will all be miraculously converted to our ideal weights and shapes!

How did you make that FE?

On the website there is a link for how to make a fish extender

Allelujah for Iron Clad Underwear!

You using crackberry to login or find a down minute in your non-stop day?

I think it is fun and just another extension of our Dis community. OTOH, it is something that is not required of folks to do with luggage limitations, the cost of shipping and even the additional cost of 200 or so trinkets, it is very understandable that some people won't participate. I think it was Monica that mentioned postcards--that would be a neat gift showing something special from each of our cities.

I know how to make a FE, but I want the one Crash posted.:sad1:

If I could just purchase the pieces, I'm sure I can get someone to make it for me. I just don't have a clue where to buy the Mickey parts.:confused3

One of the many joys of shopping! NOT!! Sometimes it is just a chore. I find shopping more fun, when I am not looking for anything in particular. Hope your cold makes a very fast reappearance.:)

I don't think I will be booking any of the DCL excursions, it has been fun researching and planning them on our own or a as a group. Also, the 1st time I ever done excursions this way. But I do want a Palo ressie.:)
