DCL has announced the list of themes for the WB Repo and the Mexican Riviera cruises but not for our cruise yet, though I expect we should be hearing what they are soon.

Gosh.........I really am looking forward to the theme names so I can update my Detox and Rehab paperwork !!! Only 7 months to Rehab !!!!:scared:

We will be at the DLH on the 13th too. Is there a mini meet scheduled at DL pre-cruise yet?

Sat the 16th, Julie (bellelinus) and I are going to stake out a big spot for Fantasmic. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome. Also, disneypilots is working on some other DL meet plans.

Chrissie - just outside DL - within walking distance is Coco's and a "family restaurant that has pretty good food. Sometimes the service is a bit slow but the food and definitely the dessert is worth it. This restaurant is called Tillie's

They are both caddy corner to DL and Paradise Pier hotel. On the opposite side of HoJo's.

Not sure if you meant fine restaurants or just places to eat within walking distance.

Wow, someone actually recommending these two. All other reports I've heard advise to stay away.

And am welcoming any Idea's for a Saturday meeting place and time. Saturday seems to be the day when most of us will be at DL. We are arriving Thursday afternoon............So PM me if Friday works better.........We will let majority rule..........

Could be nice to have something on Friday and Saturday in case we have split schedules !!!

On second thought everyone PM me your schedules............and I'll build the who's who and when !!!

Maybe a little.
Have I ever mentioned the 5' inflatable moose that MIL 'surprised' me with, right next to the cake table?

Classy.

Now that's funny! Do you have a picture?

Diane, I hope it works out for you guys. You MUST go on TOAL. I still haven't recovered from Mary canceling, I couldn't handle you canceling in my fragile condition. And it's all about me!

Kids adjust quickly. I must assume that a lot of their friends are starting in the same school, so it's not like they will walk into a school full of strangers on 'their' first day.

Granted, my kids are younger, but they are each in their 3rd school.

Aw thanks M! We're not going anywhere! If my kids were really nervous about missing the first few days I might've been torn, but they don't seem too concerned. And you're right, we only have one middle school, so it is all the same kids in highschool for my DD & my DS adjusts much easier (as I'm sure you could tell by his personality). I'm still really hoping that all my worry is for naught.

Ugh! IEP. I hope your experience is better than mine. It took my 2 years to convince the school to test DS, then when they finally realized he needed the help they wanted to put him in a bubble and basically guarantee that after 12 years of school he wouldn't be able to function in the real world.

My DS is younger and has different challenges than yours (reading learning disability), but fight the good fight to get him the help he needs - just watch for them to go overboard in the name of better test scores for the school or less work for the staff.

My DS had an IEP for speech. He has come a long way, but still has a few inconsistancies, but he no longer takes a speech class in school. They felt they had done all they can & the rest will come with maturity. I completely agreed & actually felt they were beginning to have an opposite effect, because he kept OVER-emphasising his sounds & it just sounded odd.

For wenches (umm...I mean Princesses) who are still looking for tiaras:

They're the same people DW got her tiara from on ebay. It came in the other day and looks really nice.

Thanks for the link Mike! They are really beautiful, but which one should I pick? Decisions Decisions! :confused3

Wasn't that on yesterday too....................and maybe again tomorrow.................:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2:

How many formal nights are there? Do I need two formal dresses and one semi formal? Are most of the men renting tuxes for the formal nights? Do they still need to bring a suit for the semi-formal night? What about the kids - does anyone plan to rent a tux for their son? Do the boys still need to bring a suit for the semi-formal? I’ve never been on a cruise where there has been a formal night, so I really know nothing:confused3

My DH owns a tux & I will be purchasing a new one for DS, since he's grown like a weed this year. I will buy DD & myself 3 new dresses, but I'm only planning on going with a full or 3/4 length on princess night.

Oh and one last thing......

GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and in my running around yesterday, I bought a rolling duffle bag at Costco for $25, after $10 instant rebate. Should be good for TOAL.

I also tried on a formal that I liked at Macy's, on sale for $79, but it was too big. YAY...I mean shucks...it was a pretty dress. I have my princess dress, but I would like to get something new for the other formal night. I have a closet full of dresses if I don't find anything new. I also want to get a new little black dress for semi formal since I am so over the one I have now - it's pretty, but I've worn it a lot.

I perused the tiaras at Claires but nothing jumped out at me. I'm still looking.
OK, there was my shopping effort for the next month or 2.

2 hockey games & family swim time before Super Bowl. We are trying to go swimming once a week - we all want to run triathlons this spring and there is an added bonus of the kids being stronger swimmers for TOAL. We found a short, kids only tri in our area and the boys are excited!

:scared1: Wow, M, I'm impressed. That's a lot of shopping for you.

OMG Stace - would it be mean to laugh?? Never a dull moment in your house.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Wow! Inventive project. Did he use a potato? DH did it at the gun range one time, it was pretty cool.

Laughing is what keeps me from crying, so it's okay to laugh.

I think the school is sorry now for setting up an IEP for my son....he's a little too clever now for his own good.

He made it just like a real silencer...out of steel pipe....had holes in it and everything. And the reason my husband got dragged into it is because Jared made it at our welding shop. It looked totally real.

We are looking to try and visit the Queen Mary when we are in California but drawing a blank regarding how to do this without hiring a car. Is there anyone that can give us ideas please. We are staying at the Grand Californian from the 15th and thought we may do this instead of visiting the parks for a change.

Bren

I would call the Grand Californian and ask.....there are sometimes bus tours going to other local attractions.
