Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.

My DH Rick and I will be cruising with you all in August. I did say hello on the last thread, but it was so established I got lost in all the discussions that had already taken place. We're flying over from the UK on 15th and staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

Anyway...hope to join in with the chatter over the remaining 7 months.:)
Glad to have you back:goodvibes
And now for my 2000th post.

We've done quite a few disney cruises - we sailed with some of you in September 2006 on the 11 day and most recently in October with a great bunch of Dissers, some of which are also on this trip.

Can't wait to be sailing through the canal. We've made our decisions on excursions and I've signed on to the website, so I think we're all set until the 90 day point. We're on deck 6 but no room number yet.

Anyone heard anything about Yellow Fever Vaccinations - are they required by DCL?

Anyway...hope to join in with the chatter over the remaining 7 months.:)

WELCOME ABOARD:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I haven't heard anything about yellow fever:confused3
I don't think any new vaccinations are really required, but some are considering Hepatitis vaccines just in case.

Happy 1st Thread Anniversary. Hard to believe it's been one year since the booking madness!!!

What is a kolaches??

I can't wear the tiara yet..for the wedding..I will have to get another...will check out ebay!

Chrissie

A Kolache (pronounced co-lotch-ee) is a Czech sausage roll. Might know them better as a "Pig in a Blanket".

:welcome: Welcome Aboard Heather :welcome: (sorry your last post got lost in the fluff)

I left my phone at a pizza place.:rolleyes1 Realized I lost it and went back to the restaurant. Called my cell phone and their garbage can started ringing.:lmao: :lmao:

LOL:lmao:
I left my purse at the local pizza place. They called me to let me know it was there before I even realized it was missing (DH was driving):rolleyes1

Howdy,
Speaking of fares. We got our nonstop to LAX from Orlando American for 217 when it opened up. Now the same fare is 282:scared1: Now that is one way folks. Glad I didn't hesitate.

Roger the pup is adorable as all pups are. We had a Golden once. Strong dog, able to take the abuse from the kids.

UGH- getting kicked off the computer already by DD.

Hi Everyone! Well, I made it home - it only took about twice as long as normal. DH is still out on the road. It is a mess out there. Depending on the forecast you listen to, we are going to get anywhere from 3" to 12" of snow tonight. They all agree that there will be high winds tomorrow morning blowing it all around.

Just a note: The main reason I was annoyed about DH being gone for V-Day is because he actually doesn't do much of anything for it at all ... so if he isn't here, I won't even get the "happy valentine's day" said in the morning and maybe get a card. I don't think we have ever gone out to eat that day and I have only received flowers a couple of times (the main one being the year he forgot my birthday in January!) It isn't a huge deal, but I feel like I am very reasonable and don't ask for much - just that he remember and say something nice that day! :thumbsup2 Actually, I was hoping he would cook dinner that night since I am going to be stuck with going to the school and running DS8's classroom party! I really hate that stuff (I'm not all that good with large groups of kids - I can cope with just a few, but 20 at a time just scares me!)

Too bad puppies, kittens, and children have to grow-up.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No, no Cheryl! Thank God they grow up! Have you ever tried to live with a kitten? Puppies are just as bad. The reason they are so cute is so that they survive the growing up part and no one kills them for being so evil! :lmao:

So where is our old thread? Anyone heard of it's return yet?

On the podcast they said they had hired someone to write a script to break the super-long threads into managable sizes. They will return, but broken up into multi-part versions. I assume that it will take a little while for this coder to get their script written and then it will just need to be run for each of the long threads.

dear buckifan,...oh, our son...has had that guitar...thingy..since..oct....
driving us nuts!...but i can't believe..how many oldies....they have now
"mastered"..ahhh, maybe hope...for them yet!...:hippie: oh, if one is
on the $$$, iam guessing..it will be a rematch..between fla/osu..next
jan....did you see?..where they're tweaking the schedules...so the
osu Vs. mich., will be the week after...thanksgiving?
....[ interesting, per
pete carroll's suggestion-]. oh, they sure blasted..ill. vs usc...( iam not
a "fan"...how they focused..on the players- )..* the are better
ways..for mag.s..like sports ill.,..to "reported"..the games' outcomes.../
as for the final score...ha!....very misleading..the rose bowl, was decided
on 2 plays...& the one call..that went usc's way....sure made..being
the home team [usc]...a big advantage. funnny?!...they keep ignoring
this factor...effecting major bowl games. :rolleyes1

...i think...to show the "home field advantages"...& their effects...all
one has to do is to "reviewed" a neutral game...let's see? pitt vs
west virgina....very, very prognostic. now if usc was playing the rose
bowl...@ ill., my guess..that wouldn't fumble..the tying score...in
the third quarter....wonder?..what would happpened next?

Hopefully, they won't be so out of practice by bowl time!

Someone told me to be real careful if getting an emerald ring (something about them being easily cracked:confused3 )

Emeralds are very sensitive to temperature change - particularly heat. If you do something regular that exposes it to high heat, it can just crumble eventually.

We saw Wicked in London and it was AWESOME!!!!
We had front row seats which were really good unlike in NYC where they are too close in London there is actually a large space between the first row and the stage so you aren't getting a neck cramp

My kids still sing the songs from it and listen to the CD

We've seen Wicked in London twice and I'm being nagged to go again soon.
Excellent show.

Met the cast after the show and both Helen Dallimore (Glinda) and Idina Menzel were lovely and spent ages talking to my DD6 (at the time), Bethan.

David

Wicked is really an inspiring show about being yourself and trying your best no matter what life and others throw at you . . . I would highly recommend it for anyone with daughters, but it speaks really to everyone. OK -- off my soapbox, but it really is something that can be enjoyed but then stays with you, too.

Happy 1st Thread Anniversary. Hard to believe it's been one year since the booking madness!!!

Hi Mary Ann! :flower3:
