Looks like they are putting some of the threads back. There are a couple with over 10,000 replies that are back up.

I'm not sure they used 10,000 as the number, there were a number that were up yesterday morning....:confused3

Well...

... I had to scroll back four pages before I found one thread with over 10,000 postings. It's near 5AM my time - I'm about to turn back in - and they have not restored our thread yet.

Sigh... G'nite folks!

Ummm.... you can sort the threads by number of posts... just click on the heading in the number of posts column....

If you click on the Replies column, it will put the threads in order with the most replies on top. There were three when I checked earlier. I also checked the Community Board and found a few there in the Games section.

So maybe I should read a few posts more before replying... I see someone already told Crash the same thing....

Good morning everyone!

I can't believe i have over 20 pages to catch up on. Well with this crew I'm not surprised.

Today is our youngest daughters Birthday. Gabrielle is turning 9. She asked me to make pancakes and a penguin Birthday cake for her. Penguins are her passion. She wants to be a marine biologist and save endangered penguin species.

Have a good day. I'll try to post a pick of my penguin cake. Working today also.:)

:bday: :bday: :bday: :bday: Gabrielle::MinnieMo

I got back from DCL house party!!! :goodvibes The hosts were very gracious!!:thumbsup2 DCL did not give what was promised!!! :sad2: I did receive a shopping bag from DCL, a POTC eye patch, recipes cards, a very nice goofy pirate hat,DVD of the cruise (the same one) and a couple of paper masks from Peter pan. There was no $50 certificate... only to the host which said it must be used on new booking. I will be doing a survey to give feedback.

Thought a lot of you were curious!!:rolleyes1 I got home late because I really had a nice time!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Glad you had a good time!

Happy Birthday Gabrielle!

I had a quick peek at the WB REPO new thread - they had a nice summary in one of the begnning posts.

I still find this list a bit intimidating. So many people coming and going - it's hard to keep everyone straight. Maybe an intro rollcall might be an idea every now and then for newbies. I've been on for just about 2 months and I'm still lost a bit.

Can someone post a summary of the other thread?

Some thoughts and plans for the cruise...

Official T-Shirts – Mail order in May or June
We are putting together T-Shirts with the thread logo on the front and back, details and prices to be available shortly. The suggestion is to wear black for embarkation and white through the Panama Canal. See the sample in the picture below, left.

Pirates Wristbands - Mail order in May or June

Hawaiian Shirt Contest – Sea Day Activity
Gather with the Pirates and show off you craziest shirts and our panel of wenches, swabbies and pirates will select the best shirt. Winner will be awarded a Hawaiian shirt custom made by Sarangel (fine print: Winner to provide material and buttons.)

Grown Up Princesses – Sea Day Activity
Bring your tiara and gloves, on one of the formal or semi-formal nights, our lovely princesses will come to dinner in full regalia

Pirate Picture by the Dutchman Castaway Cay
Early in the morning, the group will get together, in costume if possible, to have a group shot taken by Shutters in front of the Dutchman

Room Tour – Sea Day Activity
Ever wonder how the other ½ lives? Take a tour of Category 12 up through Category ?? cabins to see what they look like. Volunteers needed to organize and to host with their cabins.

POTC Characters for Pirate Night – Pirate Night
Pirate night is fun, but with the Capt. Jack crew on board it will be spectacular! Imagine all of our Pirates dressed as the characters from POTC along with the DCL crew! Bring your cameras

Wench's tea - Sea Day Activity
Join the ladies in Palo for a sophisticated Pirate tea.

Castaway Cay Rugby Tournament – Castaway Cay
Learn cool terminology, get some exercise after two weeks of all you can eat sailing and have a great time with the Pirates Castaway Cay Rugby Tournament. This will take place on the adult beach.

Secret Mickey – Throughout the Cruise
Building on the success of the pre-cruise holiday secret Mickey event, the Pirates will exchange gifts in secret then get together for a grand unveiling of who the secret Mickeys are.

Post card surprise mailing from DL before cruise
Wouldn’t it be great to have your loving kids, spouse, friend, etc. receive a post card mailed from Disneyland in the weeks before the cruise?

Wine & cheese social – Sea Day Activity
Get together with the Pirates for some wine and cheese during one of the restful sea days.

Disneyland DIS meet in the days prior to the cruise
Meet and greet fellow Pirates at Disneyland in the days leading up to the cruise. Have a chance to begin connecting names, faces and DIS id’s before we embark on our journey.

Charter bus/busses to pick up DISers from DL area hotels to take us to the port
This one is self-explanatory. Why worry about DCL transfers, taxis, limos, etc. We are looking to have a few stops at the Ho-Jo’s and Disneyland hotels to carry interested Pirates to the port. A brief stop at a grocery/liquor store is also being considered.

Mickey Ice Cream Bar Speed Eating Challenge- Sea Day Activity
Warm up those eating skills, or is it cool them off? Either way, it’s a refreshing contest that everyone can sink their teeth into an ear? Come show your Mickey Ice Cream Bar eating prowess and win cool prizes (well, maybe just recognition as the winner).

PJ breakfast in Lumiere's - Sea Day Activity
Admit it, there’s nothing better than lounging around on a lazy day in your pajamas! Well, here is your chance, join the pajama clad Pirates for breakfast in Lumiere’s.

Scrapbook swap- Sea Day Activity
Scrappers alert! Come and share with fellow scrap booking Pirates

Fish Mail aka Fish extender gifting
Like to leave trinkets in other Pirates’ fish extenders? Sign up and get a list of where the Pirates are staying so you can travel around spreading a little pixie dust of your own.

How about that?

Here's my $0.02 on the thread size issue.

If the long threads are slowing down the boards, then I don't have a problem with a post cap. That's as long as they just lock it, but that it is still available to be read. Then the mods can start up a new thread with the same title, Part 2, Part 3, etc. Then just use the first post to link to the old thread, and the last post of the old thread to link to the new thread. This way everything is still maintained for reference and fairly easy to navigate. And most people would be in the newest portion of the thread, so they wouldn't be accessing super-long threads anymore, which in theory should speed things up.

I also hope that they would "grandfather clause" the existing threads and not delete them. You never know when you might want to dig up a groundhog!

Yaa-nO,

I had a similar issue arise with my little one - she wanted it toasted but not cooked. How strange could that coincidence be? And on count 2, I thought because this sandwich was the most she'd eaten + that she had become so bubbly and was SINGING again .... I thought, OK, I'll let her go to gymnastics tonite with her sister. Well, after gymnastics she sort of tossed a few cookies. Fortunately it was after most everyone had left and we had just finished chattin' with some friends that she tossed a few cookies. Oh, she had been running pretty intensely too with the other kids in free play. THAT might have had a lot to do with it too... and that she was freshly "better" and possibly still a bit "vulnerable".

And I still have a package to send out to ya - I was immobilized these last few days looking after the kids alone (Alicia was away) and I was looking after the feverish little one.

It;s wierd how "shut down" I've been in recent weeks between being sort of ill - and getting into unavoidable activities that turned out to be mildly demanding of me lately. OK... now you're seein' a bit of "steam" from me....

Time to go visit chat.... ;)

Crash, It's not just kids that overdo it after being sick:confused3 I went to work too soon after surgery last year. I felt fine at home, but that walk from the parking garage to my office totally wiped me out:rolleyes: Luckily my Boss was very understanding and I took some more time off and was fine. My DD has a very sensitive stomach and tosses her cookies very easily. My biggest fear is that we will miss a cruise because she appears sick at the terminal:eek:

You keep such a hectic pace to your life it is probably better that you take it "easy" for a while. Save the "steam" for August;)

My B-day is in mid-March so you still have plenty of time to get that package sent:goodvibes

:woohoo: :woohoo:

Okay time for bed , Have to take Dylan for his Driving Permit in the morning

Goodnight

 My 14 year old is already talking about when he gets his driver's license and watching us as we drive:rolleyes:

How long did it take before you felt Dylan was ready ?

Well,

... it's now been 24 hours plus a couple minutes and we now stand at 309 postings and 2,889 visits to the thread. That translates into a new posing on average every 4 minutes and 40 seconds... or alternatively at 309 postings a day and 205 days til embarkation this makes for a modest, estimated 63,345 postings.

And here are the current individual posting tallies for this period:

Elizabeth could have gotten her license. Almost a year ago but we didn't feel she was ready. She even has a new car and it is waiting for her but I won't let her drive it until we feel she isn't a hazard to those on the road.
