We are still recovering from our 3 week vacation. It was great to meet so many of you...some even as we were waiting for DH to arrive with the rental car after getting off the ship. So far our dryer has died...during the first load of wash so after ordering one that will be delivered Monday I loaded up the car with what ended up being 8 loads of laundry and took care of them all at once at the laundromat. The kids started school yesterday and love it so far. They rode the bus home for the first time today and didn't complain too much. It helps that one of DD's friends' moms is the driver so she gets to visit with her the entire time. We ended up crashing at the hotel Monday afternoon instead of going to Sea World and had an easy flight out on Tuesday morning with no line at security at MCO. Oh yeah...we met another family there at the Disney store. :)

I am going through our bags of little stuff and can't find one of my 1GB SC cards. I switched it at the princess tea on Sunday, semiformal night. Has anyone posted about finding one on the ship? Thought that I would check here before trying to contact DCL's lost and found. I am just ill about it but am trying to keep focused on remembering it all. I know that many pictures I can get from others onboard but there are some...like DD's picture with Cindy...that are just gone without that card. I know things could be a lot worse. Monica, I did see your post and am so sorry that you returned home to such sad news. I have not read anything else since and am feeling quite overwhelmed reflecting on the past three weeks, as I am sure many others are as well.

I hope that everyone got/gets home safely. Thank you to everyone for making this cruise so special. Just a few that I can think of right now...Monica and M's DH ~ thank you for helping us get our stuff loaded on the bus after the nightmare you guys had of figuring out it was our bus. OY! I think Pamela and someone else worked on the princess night stuff and I have to say that DD was delighted at the beautiful invitation that we received from you that day in our FE. You really did set the tone...and it was great to see everyone looking so nice at dinner. The kids loved the never-ending goodies in our FE. :) Thank you to everyone who participated in that.

THANK YOU! I was wondering how long it was going to take before someone said that the hypnotist was garbage! Again, what did Disney say "No!" to that they picked Darren Romeo and the dumb hypnotist, two of the most talentless shmoes I've ever seen?

ITA with you guys about these two shows. What a waste of TOAL minutes. :( We enjoyed the Aly & AJ show and I got in line at 12:00 the next day with DD to get their autograph so that we wouldn't have to stand for hours...earned major points with her that day. ;) The lady in front of us was upset when the kids ran to the stage and kept yelling at everyone to sit down. The guy next to her was much older and he told her to get over it because it was a rock and roll concert and noone was going to sit down. DD said that the lady scared her because she was so mad at everyone. Both kids had a blast and now DD is completely star struck with them because she has the signed CD and tshirt now. They were surprised to see one of their shirts because it was out in Target 3-4 years ago. DD has listened to their music for a while and I had downloaded their new CD before the cruise for her so we were familiar with those songs too. Of course we blare Hanna Montana and HSM when the kids and I are doing the house cleaning. I am just greatful that they aren't listening to Madonna or Brittany.

However, if you can say a few prayers for us -- or cross a few fingers if you are not really a pray-er -- I kinow we would all appreciate it!

You guys are in our thoughts. Tell Destin that Kaitlyn is worried about him and wishes that he had gotten off the ship with us. LOL! Actually, say hello to all your tablemates from us. I hope that Chris has been able to have a great time on her cruise all alone. :) Did the Captain really skip pirate night this cruise? pirate:

I can't stop singing disney songs....15 days of background music please get it out of my head!

~Ingrid

:lmao: I had to visit a nice long-term care facility that I serve. There was a lady playing classical music on their baby grand all day....I had images of the baby grand in the Magic lobby and kept thinking in between meetings...wonder if she has sheet music for "under the sea" or "a whole new world".

I love this one...Kristina looks so determined!

Wow 500 posts since I left! Maybe I'll ketchup later! I now can understand why everyone loves cruising so much, but I don't get people that say cruising is restful! It was anything but! Those people must not have toddlers.... God bless that little blue and yellow fish (Flounder's!!) They were wonderful! :thumbsup2

We just got home from our 2.5 day marathon at WDW. We managed to do all the major things we wanted (including the new Toy Story Mania twice). God bless grandmas at WDW... My inlaws met us there and grandma was sooooo excited to spend time with DD even when she was sleeping so we got to go on rides :)

Must unpack and do laundry and sleeeeeep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
Amen to that.
Well i don't have a toddler- but 3 kids will wear you out. We previously thought we'd never cruise DCL without the kids until they were adults- but now we're seriously considering it. Then WE can have some fun instead of trying to keep up (and keep entertained) 3 kids the entire time. LOL
It IS more restful (atleast on my feet!) than say going to the parks- but still not what I'd call restful. Well DH might think it's "restful" considering he did quite a bit of napping on deck 10 (when he said he was going up there to READ! LOL) and going to bed early. :lmao:

I am so excited .. only 5 pages or so since this morning and I can finally keep up with the thread..

A few things I forgot that I was thankful for was the PIRATES CD.. my son has been playing that constanly for 3 days in the car...It has some great songs on it.. and Darlene thank you for the TIDE STICK.. came in very handy many nights.

Was so busy today with my sons EAGLE project that we never got to go grocery shop until 6pm.. I have no clue what to buy or make since we have been eating 5 star restaurant type foods for 3 weeks. Who wants to cook.. And our weather is very stange being 90+ degrees the past 3 days, I turned the air on again..

Love seeing all the pics and videos. After the weekend I can look closer at the pics. Truly loved meeting all of you. So sad not being at dinner right now.. Can there ever be a 2 week cruise now? A 7-day just wont fit the bill..lol
Hey, I didn't get a tide stick! Oh maybe she just "knew" I already had some. ;)
I hear you on the length of cruises... guess we'll have to save up to do back-to-back cruises because 7 days will seem so short! I'm not sure about everyone else but to us it seemed like the first week was normal and the 2nd week went in superspeed time (like the week went by really fast). I recall it seemed like the 7day cruise went by really quick and I'm thinking maybe the first week only seemed longer because we weren't THINKING about getting off the ship soon- the 2nd week the countdown towards the end of the cruise started- yanno? With the 7 day- the countdown started from the get go... you know, thinking about how much more time till they make us leave the ship. :lmao: Back to back sounds good except it's so much more expensive than this EB repo cruise was! I'm totally spoiled now. I can't see spending upwards of 20k for back to back cruises. sigh

Thanks

Shell, the navigator we all downloaded had everyones room#s. So once I recognized the flag it was easy. BYW, thought I had the worst hand.:lmao:
Oh but I didn't recognize the flag! :(

Thank you to everyone we met and got to say hi to, for the wonderful, fabulous, fantastic FE gifts, it was soooooo much fun digging into it and finding all the neat and creative goodies. That's the most fun I've had with FE gifts ever!!!!

I can't believe how wonderful it was to have someone yell out hi to us and we to them, it made it all just so warm and cozy! I wish there had been more hours in the day to do more and meet more people. One of these days I will play shuffleboard, I promise myself, ONE OF THESE DAYS!!! I swear I only got to sit on deck 4 twice, not nearly enough time and I made myself relax, I swear I did!

I only went to two shows and wouldn't you know it, they both sucked horribly, I guess you can imagine the two I went to. Overall I was terribly dissapointed with this cruise. I didn't let if affect me, but there was a lot of Magic missing. When you get use to things and then have them taken away... well, it's just not the same.

One of my happiest memories from the Transatlantic were the pictures they took on the excursions... why not this time? Where were the Mousketeer buttons? And what was up with that slipper? Just seemed like they were rushing us home to get into dry dock. We didn't have children with us but it sure looked like the kids were bored to death sitting on the stairs and wandering the deck at 1 AM. Thank god for Michael Jordan's wine class, come on Disney, give us new things to do!!!

Glad to see they brought the character interaction back to the Character Breakfast. Lots of missing old timer crew, hopefully they are just on vacation and will be back. We did meet a lot of terrific new crew though. Jo Jo our SR attendant was just the best. The terror in his face when he saw the dog was priceless, "he's going to sleep in your room?" They were best buddies by the end of the trip. I would have sworn it was a Crystal cruise from the way he took care of us.

I didn't want to do this cruise, it was the DH's idea, but I have to say that with all of you it turned into the best cruise I've ever taken. I loved the ports (well, Nikki Beach sucked but shopping was cool), ZIP LINE nearly killed me but I soooo had a good time!! Acapulco was great, but why do they sell Nativity sets with no baby Jesus? (bought it for Christian hubby as a surprise and there was no baby Jesus when we got home!!!!) Cartagena reminded me of Seville so much I want to go back for a visit to just there, I loved the Walled City, could have spent all day there. Aruba? Well, it was saved by the best waiter ever, he really made us laugh. Who buys Bulgari on a little Dutch island??? And honest to god, there were NO video cameras to buy, what's up with that????? And they aren't even bothered to try and sell you anything!!!! I can't count how many stores we walked into and picked up stuff with no price tag and the clerks just ignored us. Oh well, they were VERY nice in Little Switzerland!

I got talked into doing the personal watercraft on CC. Never again if there is a hurricane within 500 miles of the place. It was great fun going out, but coming back I thought I was gonna die. My eyes, my eyes!!!! Did you know they have eye washers on CC?

I would love to see them develop a spa menu. Eating a small breakfast and half a dinner still had me gain 5 pounds. The lighter type meals just aren't that light for me. When I did get a veg meal it was all starchy or saucy. Frankly I would have been in hog heaven with a plate of freshly steamed baby veggies.... and dessert. :)

Wish there had been more Ariel Vision movies. Seemed like they didn't have that much and then National Treasure or the Cheetah gurls hogged it. How often do we get a chance to see a drive in movie? Come on Disney, give us movies!!!

I'm sure I'll think of more after I hit enter, but that's all for now!

Thanks everyone for TOAL!!!
The FE gifts were fantastic- they were all so great! I haven't unpacked but I've gone thru the bag of FE items and marveled over the creativeness and generosity of everyone! Such great stuff! :)

I'm sorry you were so disappointed with the cruise. There definitely is some room for improvement that maybe is not quite as noticable on shorter cruises where you're just trying to cram in as much as possible (activities, ports, etc.) in the short time on the ship- with a longer cruise with more time to notice things and more time to try to find things to do- I can see noticing room for improvement more.

I heard that Aruba was different (in the shops/etc.) because it is a wealthier area because of oil or something? I was really surprised to find that almost all the shops and the flea market had all closed at 6pm.... you'd think they'd have kept the shop open with the Disney Magic at port just around about a block away! :confused3 Some stores in the terminal stayed open a bit later and we found ONE store down the street that was open- thankfully with lots of stuff to choose from but also noticed many items had no prices and so we had to ask and they were swamped since they were the only store on that street that was still open... so the 2 cashiers (on one register) were really busy and seemed annoyed to be asked prices of things. LOL

Eye washers on CC? I have no idea what you're talking about!
?
Rita enjoyed Precious swimming around us at CC... you probably don't remember her but she was one (of many I'm sure) that came to ask you if she could pet her when she was standing in the shallow water. (I'm the one that commented she acted like she wanted to take off swimming and you said she wanted to get out. I totally read her wrong. LOL Ohwell, I'm a cat person really LOL Except for our Tramp- he's the exception. ;) ) Rita saw her on the ship constantly asking if she could pet him and I kept telling her that the dog was in training and not to be petted... so she was thrilled to pet him on CC!

I agree on the movies- more movies on the ariel view and late night movies in the theatre please DCL!

Greetings from Little Rock, Arkansas! We are slowly making our way home..we will get home on Monday and I am more then ready! Dh made it home and the kitties are home from their hotel....Dh taking care of the fish issue..seems the person who took care of them placed them in her kitchen and the temp went up to 90 degrees in the tank :headache: Hopefully he can replace them quickly.

I haven't had an issues with feeling like I am still on the ship but my mom has a terrible cough...DD Tori had a bad cold but is getting over it eah day.

Tomorrow we head for Amarillo, Tx....

I miss everyone already! Hope the back to work and school days go well this week!
Wait- you don't live in Tx do you? Or are you still on vacation around the world or something? Too bad it's not closer to us in Tx or we'd have to invite you over or something! :)
(are you flying or driving?)

What room WERE you in? I admit I didn't go floor to floor (because like I said- we didn't have a good hand but too good to get worst hand! LOL) but I'm still curious which room you did have. I wonder if it would have been easy to find if I'd put some effort into it? LOL
(ps. really the reason I didn't look is because I misunderstood and thought it was a flag on the verandah! And I was all like -to my husband- how are we going to find this on a sea day when we can't see verandahs? I'm such a dork LOL)

 We were in 7565. We didn't even have a verandah. I was impressed with Arlene. We pulled out of Aruba about midnight. I then went down to deliver the last set of poker cards. I didn't even put out the treasure chest at that time. Instead, I just headed out to make my FE rounds. When I arrived back to my stateroom around 1:30am, Arlene had already returned her entry and had left it in our FE because the treasure chest wasn't out yet.

I did enjoy that stateroom location. There was one room on each side of our room. I had images that there'd be ST in one or both of those rooms unsupervised because their parents booked the verandah across the hall. However, I believe each of those staterooms were couples w/no children. So our hallway was pretty quiet. Even after returning at 1:30am after delivering the Aruba cards, I saw Aly and AJ walking down our hallway with one of their entourages and noone was bothering them. They were actually admiring some our stateroom magnet decorations and heard one comment on how cool they thought it was that people decorated their doors.

I must say, the louder areas seemed to be on deck two. Many of my FE deliveries were late evenings and it seemed like a lot more happening down there than on the higher decks.

Oh and ps... I'm so tired. I really want to go to sleep now! But alas I can not. I must wait up for my eldest to get home from the football game. they said estimated time they'll get back is 11:30pm. I'm not thrilled that this first game is on Thursday night... they had to start loading up at 3:30pm and get back at 11:30pm.. on a school night (and her day started with band practice at 6:45am) -no time for supper, and all the homework she had because she's still playing catchup after missing the first week.. and that's past her bedtime. Heck now it's past MY bedtime since I seem to be so tired everynight.
I guess I"m worn out from the few weeks of complete insomnia I had before the crusie and then staying up to my "usual" time of 3-4:30am every night even on the cruise... I could nap during the day when they are in school but A) I have so much to do still and need to try to catch up on everything! and B) I'm hoping by NOT napping during the day I can try really hard to continue to go to bed at a decent hour instead of going to bed at 4 or 5 am everynight. All it would take is an hour or two nap during the day and I'd totally mess up my schedule and end up going to bed late and then get tired during the day and keep taking naps during the day. I don't want to go "there" again!

Still have atleast an hour before I have to go pick her up and she has some homework due tomorrow that they won't allow her more time on (to turn it in like Monday- she asked today.. this is work given last week that is due tomorrow- that she hasn't completed all of it yet)- so I'll be up to make sure she gets that done instead of going to sleep and who knows when both of us will get to bed... this really stinks that they are doing this on a school nigth! (all her games are supposed to be on Friday nights- but during the cruise they sent an email memo out that this game had been changed to Thursday night due to the team we're playing has to share the stadium in that larger city that has multiple highschools. I think this is ridiculous to have kids gone to an away game from the minute school is out till 11:30pm- totally ridiculous! and the band doesn't even have their uniforms yet- they had to wear their show shirts that are normally worn under their uniforms during games/performances, khakis and their marching shoes.... couldn't they just let the band NOT perform this first game or something? But then I feel for the football players too. sigh......)

okay now 50 minutes to go..... they better not get back even later than 11:30pm! And this away game is only about a 40min drive away! But atleast the games that are even further away will be on FRIDAY nights and not thursday night!

*twiddling thumbs trying hard not to fall asleep*

I just realized I forgot to take pictures of our stateroom doors. Omg can that really be for real? I really think I forgot to do that. good grief......

That's cool that Aly & AJ thought the magnet decorations were cool. :)

do you think deck 2 was busier because of the OQ? I kinda noticed that on my FE exchange runs too.... and when going down there to talk to/get Robert from OQ and such...

Did you have a treasure chest sitting outside your room or something?

oh did I tell you guys (especially Captain Crash) that I got Don "Ducky" Williams autograph on Robert's mickey camera for him?
He was so excited to win that camera- he just loves it to pieces!
Well one day he was making a comment about seeing Ducky on another deck below us and I was surprised he even knew who he was! (did Ducky make the rounds to the club/lab/OQ or something? do a presentation for them or something?) Anyway, since he was excited to see him- and we could have 4 autographs since we had 2 rooms- I figured I'd get his camera signed... at first the crew person said that he only signed his original work but I could ask him to see if he'd autograph the camera- and he was so sweet he said SURE! and signed it on one of the white mickey hands on the camera. :)
Robert was sure excited about it too.....

Robert got some cool pictures on there. He's not a big photographer so they aren't perfect or anything like that but he got pictures of things I didn't- like all his counselors in the lab and then in the OQ. Something I hadn't done! I only have one picture of Rita hugging her favorite counselor... Anyway, so that's cool that Robert got pictures of the counselors. :) I always forget to do that and then regret it afterwards!
But some of Rita's counselors sent her a picture of them to the room- thanking her for participating in the talent show! So that was cool... a great picture to add to the photo album.... ahhh memories. :)

I now have the sore throat cough thing that a lot of people seem to have. I took Nyquil before bed last night & I slept good so hopefull it will pass quickly.

When are you having the sleepover ????? Sure miss you!!
John has the crud and I think I might have been allergic to the feather pillows. :headache:

Did I tell you how charming your DD's and Cherie are.:confused3 :confused3 Sure wished we got to see you more on the ship. :flower3: Still want to get out to California next year.:thumbsup2

Did you get the okay from Cherie to post that picture although M sure looks nice.

Thanks for the sympathey Diane, it IS appreciated.

I'm dithering with skipping the doc ONE more day as I woke up feeling a lot better - though I'm still sniffling - coughing and so on. I suspect anite of really good rest might do the trick. otherwise it might be the doc tomorrow after all!

I gotta go now... really.

We are giving our crud til the weekend to get better. :rolleyes1 Poor DH really caught the cold too plus the cough.

Just a big Thank You!!! I have been reading.;)

I think I may need to take some responsibility for the Disney Crud. Trevoy and I both had coughs at the beginning of the cruise. May have started spreading it at Fantasmic. Mine cleared up by day 6 or 7 though. His is hanging around, probably because of the ear trouble.

So I can thank you for my crud:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: No...... we all just like to share things.

Thank you - we were just talking about how comfy the pillows were
I went and looked at the website but have no idea which it actually is. Have any further info?

Thanks for all talking about pillows and that is how I figured out why my allergies were acting up.:rolleyes1

Wow 500 posts since I left! Maybe I'll ketchup later! I now can understand why everyone loves cruising so much, but I don't get people that say cruising is restful! It was anything but! Arrh, goosebumps strike again.....

I loved watching the copy of your movie.:thumbsup2

Eye washers on CC? I have no idea what you're talking about!
?
Rita saw her on the ship constantly asking if she could pet him and I kept telling her that the dog was in training and not to be petted... so she was thrilled to pet him on CC!

They are like water fountains for your eyes. Gets the salt water out.

I hope that Rita understands that Press can't always be pet. There are some times on the ship when there are just to many people around and she gets overwhelmed. She has to learn to be around groups but I have to be careful and not make it to scary for her. This some times make it so that I don't let people pet her. This is some times hard for kids to understand, they see a puppy and just wanna love and hug her. Press would love nothing more than to be loved on, but that doesn't teach her much!! And it can also get quickly out of hand depending on what's going on.

She sure had a good time in the water, she loves the ocean, not the pool so much, so I'm glad that we got to give that to her one more time before she goes back to school.

...well, bippy girl...i thought you gave the best show...in the "golden
mickeys's. therefore..i took advange, when your real picture show..was

..playing..on the big screen [cinderella] & snapped some cool pics. oh,
didn't everyone loved the way...sk8..swoop down and dump her pixie dust..all over the magic?

& yes sir! i was impressed..her wings didn'rrgh have one smidge of a winkle.

:thumbsup2

* well, we made it safe & sound..with the brood. not so well, as it
took me..the whole cruise to tracked down..crasher + family...&
now i have some kind of crude....sick as a dog! soooo not so
innocents?, eh?

wt. gained?....3 lbs...thats amazing, :rolleyes1 ..as i was always eatimg.

i'm sorry,,all shook up?..not getting up to lounge..where you all were
having ..the times..of your life. ha! i saw miscmce! "mousing around, no
less...hopelful..no~body..saw..me driping wet..from my daily routine...
"surviving the cruise thru h2o treatments."...[ my one achillies' heel..
..is having a back...that is falling apart..up & down ]

joel..? you guys..made my trip, :thumbsup2 . how about those bobcats!

..i'm sooo :sad1: ..of not meeting ms.pdger & sk8. :flower3:

..as always...we had a very inteteresting cruise? :yay: i'm sorry..
but poor lil' dahuffy...got to "see"..where my lil'miss came up with lil'
grumpy. however, from the times..i saw..you guys...helping others..
proved..my gut feeling.. "you are som kind of special. :flower3:."

oh, there more to that incident...:rolleyes1 . and actually..if i had
"seen"..what he did..before....i got there...i would've been doing
more..than setting limits. [ i thought..it was the third x the charm..
not four.] ....

...but wanta,,,hear..what you all..made me feel about our cruising
with the disers? [ i kno that u do, :lmao: ]....

....first..we had fabulous..table mates, :goodvibes . maybe..a lil'
thing..but i can't thank...howe much fun they gave our cruise, :grouphug:

...as for the rest...of the party animals..., "it's true..our wdw trips...

makes me feel the meanings of o'hana. exactly..what the disers' did ,

..in all your special gifts, thank you. " yep...i'm a funny guy..just like
that kid..in 'home alone"!

for what its worth...i think disney....does not have to be prefect..and
since..they're in the people buisness...it should not be surprised
by people problems. [ for me, i had more troubles, with some aggressive
adults...rather the teenagers..*except..one "couple..too young to
have been doing adults like affections.., so i just stayed around..until
they left. * if that was my daughter..she would 've never..been
out..that late,:scared:

escuse.me, going back to being..sick, yuk out! ..below, :wizard:

my question is... did you use all 117 diapers? :rotfl2:

Yep! Actually we used more than that since we did WDW and came home 3 days later than planned :) I took more than calculated and we did end up bringing some home and leaving some at the Pop.

In Amarillo don't miss Cadillac Ranch or The Big Texan Steakhouse. It was great 10 years ago.

The Cadillac Ranch cracks me up!

John has the crud and I think I might have been allergic to the feather pillows. :headache:

There was a crud? Everyone hid it so well! DH and I seemed to pass things back and forth and to DD. DD and I now have some sort of runny nose, etc junk :(

Cheryl I had a blast too! Glad we got there that day :) And you're right, things are better once you get on board... BTW, didn't like Pop at all!!! There was so much noise! We were as far as we could get from the food court and in the back of the building and were there Monday - today so they should've been pretty empty. I did not sleep well at all and usually I have no problem sleeping. There was constant banging and flushing of toilets, etc, etc!! I never have the noise issue at the All-Star Music...

I'll have to wait on answering the DD eating question till she's over her crud and back on her schedule. I did very few tube feedings onboard though, so I was very excited! She loved the variety and flavor of the foods (and the crackers at Flounders...) I'll also take her in for a weight check next week and see where she is with that.

Arlene was on the ball huh! hehe

do you think deck 2 was busier because of the OQ? I kinda noticed that on my FE exchange runs too.... and when going down there to talk to/get Robert from OQ and such...

Did you have a treasure chest sitting outside your room or something?

No worries... I'm sure someone from our community took a ton of door decoration photos... and if that's not the case with anyone else then I DID take a ton of door decoration photos! However, I might have missed a deck of photos somewhere... so my images are incomplete.

...well, bippy girl...i thought you gave the best show...in the "golden
mickeys's. therefore..i took advange, when your real picture show..was

..playing..on the big screen [cinderella] & snapped some cool pics. oh,
didn't everyone loved the way...sk8..swoop down and dump her pixie dust..all over the magic?

& yes sir! i was impressed..her wings didn'rrgh have one smidge of a winkle.

[ for me, i had more troubles, with some aggressive
adults...rather the teenagers.. *except..one "couple..too young to
have been doing adults like affections.., so i just stayed around..until
they left. * if that was my daughter..she would 've never..been
out..that late
,:scared:

Lil'G... I saw something similar too... some of these older teens ... seem to be growing up a little too fast for my taste. Truthfully, I waited 6+ weeks after our 1st date before I got my 1st kiss from Alicia... I was a decent gentleman those 1st few weeks as I sort of thought we had something really special. At any rate ... my point is there should be no major hurry with young kids. Better to get ta know someone a while before ya move ahead with some things ... I think. On the other hand ... if you're hangin out with a girl ya wouldn't bring home to mama... then no sense in wastin' time, eh? .....< just kidding!!!>

escuse.me, going back to being..sick, yuk out! ..below,
:wizard:

L'il G... I must beg to differ... I thought it was MONICA who brought the bug aboard! And for that matter - on my return locally I've learned that many many locals back home HERE have fallen ill withthe same cough and sniffles thing!

You guys are in our thoughts. Tell Destin that Kaitlyn is worried about him and wishes that he had gotten off the ship with us. LOL! Actually, say hello to all your tablemates from us. I hope that Chris has been able to have a great time on her cruise all alone. :) Did the Captain really skip pirate night this cruise? pirate:

::yes:: Yes our Cpt Jack was MIA but there was a really nice looking gentleman that was standing next to Melissa - I wonder if Todd knows???? :rotfl2:

It was kinda nice to see him took the pressure off of dressing up for the night.

ARLENE - text me re your PM - got to go - DH is mad that I'm using up his minutes. Welcome to my world. LOL - that's all for now.

I had no idea they had water fountains for the eyes. Learn something new every day! I could have used that too. LOL

You never told Rita she couldn't pet. I may have made it sound that way but *I* was the one telling her that just because *I* assumed that dogs in training aren't supposed to be loved on by every stranger that walks by. LOL That's why that day in the water when she asked again, I told her again that they aren't supposed to be petted- and she replied that OTHER KIDS ARE PETTING HIM! (LOL) and so that's why I told her she could go ASK YOU if she could pet him... so that's what she did. But this was all my doing and you never had to deny Rita petting him- I did that and I only allowed her to ask you in the water since other kids were petting him then. :) :) She does understand about pets in training. I think she was just a bit confused because Press wasn't always wearing the little "outfit" that service dogs usually wear- that's the only reason she asked about petting in the first place because we've already had discussions about this in the past- because she thinks she needs to love on every dog she sees in the world... so we've had to talk about the service dog/petting issue in the past. LOL

Yep, she's like you said- sees a puppy and just wanna love and hug em! :)

I think Rita was also enamored with her BECAUSE she was in the water... she was so excited to see Press in the water! Rita is only used to our dog Tramp who does NOT like to be in the water (and it's probably hard for our Tramp to swim -being so long bodied/short legs is probably pretty hard to swim and we don't have shallow enough water in our pool for any dog to just walk around in it except on the step... but Tramp won't even do that LOL). Honestly that might have been the first time she's seen a dog swimming- in person and not on tv. Except for the one time we tested Tramp to see if he could swim just so I'd know he wouldn't drown in our pool if he fell in... and he could swim but he sure hated it and thankfully has never fallen in the pool since we moved here almost 2yrs ago. (my how time flies!)

Man I'm tired and doing run on sentences again. But I just picked Ruby up from the game (band)- so now I can finally go to sleep!

Crash- if you took photos of my door please send them to me!!! pretty please!

Oh and you're right- I have heard about other locals here with the coughing bug. But I don't see how *I* could have gotten it from anyone around *here* -since I started coughing almost immediately when we got home. I guess it's just going around everywhere! :(
