Safely home across the pond

Keith and I loved our trip
We really enjoyed meeting all of you, thank you all so much for all the time and effort you put into organising events for us. The scrapbook exchange was excvellent and I can't wait to use all my bits and bobs, Keith love the Micky bar contest, I had a lot of fun running around the ship doing the scavenger hunt and we both loved coming back to the cabin and finding gifts in out fish extender.
We had a couple of relaxing days in WDW and an uneventful flight home. I woke up this mormong swaying from side to side and wit a deaf and painful ear, a treip to the doctor resulted in antibiotics, ear drops and an appointment to have one ear syringed, I'm sorry to hear about others who are ill now or worse were ill on the trip
We came home to some sad news Keith's uncle had a stroke and died whilst we were away,
Our bunnies seem very happy to be home and school started today, so we're really back in the swing of things.
Therer really wasn't much we didn't enjoy on this cruise but I do agree with the people who posted negative comments about the hypnotist and darren Romeo. Unfortunately on this cruise for the first time ever we had a not so good experience in Palo.
\
Monica, ITA!!! I thought his show was awful. My sister walked out during it!

As for "Entertainer of the Year", perhaps it was a bad year????:rotfl:

THANK YOU! I was wondering how long it was going to take before someone said that the hypnotist was garbage! Again, what did Disney say "No!" to that they picked Darren Romeo and the dumb hypnotist, two of the most talentless shmoes I've ever seen?

The only other negative was our experience at Port canaveral with FL tours.
Hope we can meet up with some of you again one day.
Lynn and keith

Our Cabin Host was a little concerned. He saw some people jumping outside our cabin door saying "We found it!" He asked a couple times how many relatives were traveling with us because so many people had been stopping by our door:lmao: . Someone said they had started at Deck 1, worked their way up the floors and took 45 minutes or so to find us.
What room WERE you in? I admit I didn't go floor to floor (because like I said- we didn't have a good hand but too good to get worst hand! LOL) but I'm still curious which room you did have. I wonder if it would have been easy to find if I'd put some effort into it? LOL
(ps. really the reason I didn't look is because I misunderstood and thought it was a flag on the verandah! And I was all like -to my husband- how are we going to find this on a sea day when we can't see verandahs? I'm such a dork LOL)

Wow 500 posts since I left! Maybe I'll ketchup later! I now can understand why everyone loves cruising so much, but I don't get people that say cruising is restful! It was anything but! Those people must not have toddlers.... God bless that little blue and yellow fish (Flounder's!!) They were wonderful! :thumbsup2

We just got home from our 2.5 day marathon at WDW. We managed to do all the major things we wanted (including the new Toy Story Mania twice). God bless grandmas at WDW... My inlaws met us there and grandma was sooooo excited to spend time with DD even when she was sleeping so we got to go on rides :)

Must unpack and do laundry and sleeeeeep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

I think I may need to take some responsibility for the Disney Crud. Trevoy and I both had coughs at the beginning of the cruise. May have started spreading it at Fantasmic. Mine cleared up by day 6 or 7 though. His is hanging around, probably because of the ear trouble.

Ah-HA!

So it wasn't ME who brought the "bug" aboard then...

... that effectively leaves me ...

Innocent.

ITA! I thought the hypnotist show was the worst! My dad spoke to one of the participants at the adult pool who was supposed to be "under" and he admitted he was not hypnotized. He said he was totally acting.

Oh.....and Devon is a sweetie!!!!
I never felt totally hypnotized. I felt like I was under a little and he had some control over me, but there was some faking too. (i.e. Jonas Bros fan)

my question is... did you use all 117 diapers? :rotfl2:

I am so excited .. only 5 pages or so since this morning and I can finally keep up with the thread..

A few things I forgot that I was thankful for was the PIRATES CD.. my son has been playing that constanly for 3 days in the car...It has some great songs on it.. and Darlene thank you for the TIDE STICK.. came in very handy many nights.

Was so busy today with my sons EAGLE project that we never got to go grocery shop until 6pm.. I have no clue what to buy or make since we have been eating 5 star restaurant type foods for 3 weeks. Who wants to cook.. And our weather is very stange being 90+ degrees the past 3 days, I turned the air on again..

Love seeing all the pics and videos. After the weekend I can look closer at the pics. Truly loved meeting all of you. So sad not being at dinner right now.. Can there ever be a 2 week cruise now? A 7-day just wont fit the bill..lol

I was watching an AP video about the 3 storms and guess what I saw???

About 20 seconds into the video, our beloved Magic is shown docked in Nassau.

Shell, the navigator we all downloaded had everyones room#s. So once I recognized the flag it was easy. BYW, thought I had the worst hand.:lmao:

I can't stop singing disney songs....15 days of background music please get it out of my head!

"To be decided" That is the caption on tomorrow's Navigator for "Ashore" time. Brent told us before tonight's show that this is the first time that he can ever remember an ashore time being listed as "To be decided."

Of course, he explained, this is all because of the uncertainty of what Hanna might be doing.

As I type this, Castaway Cay is being hit with the fringes of the winds and rain of the tropical storm, Hanna. We were told that the storm is increasing in size, but that the captain is still hoping to make port at Castaway Cay tomorrow.

Right now, we are going as slow as we can go to remain on the very edge of the storm fringe yet still maintain a port time of 7:00 a.m. Presently (9:30 p.m.), our speed is 8.2 knots. We are in "very rough" seas (13-20 feet) and you can really tell that by walking outside on the promenade deck. A heavy mist is flying all over the place as the bow of the ship breaks the waves on the water.

Tomorrow morning, if/when we make port, the captain will contact the island manager to access any damage from the storm as well as whether or not we will be able to dock.

As I have said several times already, I will let you know whenever we hear anything. Realistically though, we will not hear anything until the very last minute.

Thank you to everyone we met and got to say hi to, for the wonderful, fabulous, fantastic FE gifts, it was soooooo much fun digging into it and finding all the neat and creative goodies. That's the most fun I've had with FE gifts ever!!!!

I can't believe how wonderful it was to have someone yell out hi to us and we to them, it made it all just so warm and cozy! I wish there had been more hours in the day to do more and meet more people. One of these days I will play shuffleboard, I promise myself, ONE OF THESE DAYS!!! I swear I only got to sit on deck 4 twice, not nearly enough time and I made myself relax, I swear I did!

I only went to two shows and wouldn't you know it, they both sucked horribly, I guess you can imagine the two I went to. Overall I was terribly dissapointed with this cruise. I didn't let if affect me, but there was a lot of Magic missing. When you get use to things and then have them taken away... well, it's just not the same.

One of my happiest memories from the Transatlantic were the pictures they took on the excursions... why not this time? Where were the Mousketeer buttons? And what was up with that slipper? Just seemed like they were rushing us home to get into dry dock. We didn't have children with us but it sure looked like the kids were bored to death sitting on the stairs and wandering the deck at 1 AM. Thank god for Michael Jordan's wine class, come on Disney, give us new things to do!!!

Glad to see they brought the character interaction back to the Character Breakfast. Lots of missing old timer crew, hopefully they are just on vacation and will be back. We did meet a lot of terrific new crew though. Jo Jo our SR attendant was just the best. The terror in his face when he saw the dog was priceless, "he's going to sleep in your room?" They were best buddies by the end of the trip. I would have sworn it was a Crystal cruise from the way he took care of us.

I didn't want to do this cruise, it was the DH's idea, but I have to say that with all of you it turned into the best cruise I've ever taken. I loved the ports (well, Nikki Beach sucked but shopping was cool), ZIP LINE nearly killed me but I soooo had a good time!! Acapulco was great, but why do they sell Nativity sets with no baby Jesus? (bought it for Christian hubby as a surprise and there was no baby Jesus when we got home!!!!) Cartagena reminded me of Seville so much I want to go back for a visit to just there, I loved the Walled City, could have spent all day there. Aruba? Well, it was saved by the best waiter ever, he really made us laugh. Who buys Bulgari on a little Dutch island??? And honest to god, there were NO video cameras to buy, what's up with that????? And they aren't even bothered to try and sell you anything!!!! I can't count how many stores we walked into and picked up stuff with no price tag and the clerks just ignored us. Oh well, they were VERY nice in Little Switzerland!

I got talked into doing the personal watercraft on CC. Never again if there is a hurricane within 500 miles of the place. It was great fun going out, but coming back I thought I was gonna die. My eyes, my eyes!!!! Did you know they have eye washers on CC?

I would love to see them develop a spa menu. Eating a small breakfast and half a dinner still had me gain 5 pounds. The lighter type meals just aren't that light for me. When I did get a veg meal it was all starchy or saucy. Frankly I would have been in hog heaven with a plate of freshly steamed baby veggies.... and dessert. :)

Wish there had been more Ariel Vision movies. Seemed like they didn't have that much and then National Treasure or the Cheetah gurls hogged it. How often do we get a chance to see a drive in movie? Come on Disney, give us movies!!!

I'm sure I'll think of more after I hit enter, but that's all for now!

Thanks everyone for TOAL!!!

I was on the CC personal watercraft tour with you! (Me & my sister were the ones that were the last in line all the time!) The salt water in my eyes was the worst feeling I ever had, plus my lips got all shrively, ya know, like when you eat too much salty popcorn? My arms and legs hurt the next day from attempting to stay on the jetski and I made of the mistake of allowing my sister to drive it back into CC. I swear, I don't know where that kid got her set of cajones from, she was going so fast, and all I know is, there were a few times I almost fell off!

But, I have to tell you, I really loved watching the puppy play in the water on CC. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen!
