I was a big Diet Coke freak, but now I'm hooked on Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry, although the Cherry Coke Zero is also really good.

Funny, I've always been a Diet Pepsi gal, but love Diet Cherry Coke! the Deit Pepsi Wild Cherry doesn't do it for me!

I have no idea where that is, but DS18 pulled in there early this morning on their drum corp tour to Indiana. They have a 10 hour rehearsal there today and I know you guys were saying how abnormally hot it is right now...so just a curious mom wondering!

They leave tonight and next stop tomorrow is Des Moines, IA!

Ah the good 'ol days. I miss marching, no cares in the world. Marching Sr. Corps is much different. You have to get yourself and your equipment there yourself. Hope he is having a blast.


Wow I go out to get lunch and you rack up 5 pages.

On a some what good note. My laptop is back up. However needed to restore back to the factory image. Good thing I had not put too much on it yet, since I was trying to keep it clean and fast for the cruise.

15 days and 4.25 hours till my TOAL begins! (aka 11 work days and 4 weekend days and 1 pay period - thank god for direct deposit)

OMG! Y'all are getting talkative! Hope its nothing about me!

Anyway, got lost and am subscribing. Oh yeah! Finally picked up my doc today - seems our TA forgot to tell us they were closed and have been sitting around a neighbors office for the last 2 days!

Told you I need a new TA - she has "graciously" offered to have us taken from the Magic to the airport at FL but we requested a pickup time of 12:30. That means we should be getting to Long Beach around 1 and hopefully onboard about 2:30 unless we get "Alice" again then count on it being more like 3.

As for the last question on the last thread, I know, old news, we are bringing very limited clothes and just biting the bullet and sending out to be dry cleaned. They come back cleaner, pressed and nicely creased. Plus I don't have to fight you all for the washer!


Oh yeah! Y'all remember my demon heathens at the dinner table? Seems April and I were talking yesterday and the kid that broke the salt shaker and spread it on the carpet? that one - well seems he was only 13 and the parents talked The Stack personnel into letting him be there. The day after the dinner incident, he was in Diversions when he got mad at the Wii and broke it and then threw the control down the elevator shaft. The counselors DID NOT THROW OUT the kid and his friends/relatives that were also doing stuff, instead they just fixed it somehow - (duct tape ) and continued to use it.

They didn't say anything to the parents and the other kids were so mad at him that they all ended up giving him a hard time. I was surprised, plus whenever he came around, they all moved. She thought they knew someone high up or the counselors because the kids always ended up sitting with the counselors. Talk about your recurring nightmare - I usually leave kids alone - that is my hands off policies, but since I witnessed and experienced them - Thank God I got my kids - Andrew and all!

You had one heck of a cruise!! Got a question for you...do you if Keyon (entertainment staff) was on your cruise??

OMG!! This is the best clipart ever!!! My DH is everything Grumpy, and he loves diet coke. I just sent this to him, and he is gonna change it to have caffiene free diet coke can, or one of his lo carb monster drinks!! LOL, This will be on our door!!!!!!!!!!

DW & I Plus 2 kids are ready to go. Arrive in LA on the 15th From VA. Never been, so should be an interesting day before the cruise!

I can't believe I set this up over a year ago the day it became available and now it's almost time!

What part of VA are you from? We are in the Richmond tri-cities area. We are flying out to LA on the 13th

My sympathy goes to the counselors. If the parents can't/won't discipline the kids, what are they going to do? You can't make them walk the plank. Unlike a school, youth group or camp, you can't send them home. You have limited authority and you're stuck with them.

It wouldn't surprise me if the counselors either drew straws, or figured out who had the best chance of controlling them, and those counselors tried to "reach out" to the kids so as to keep them out of trouble as much as possible.

When you're a counselor and you have kids like that, it's very frustrating and you just keep telling yourself "it's only a week, it's only a week - and I'll never see them again."

The group I work with, we have them for 4 or 5 years - so when we have a tough case, it's worth the time to invest in really working on behavior. Even when the parents are hopeless, we've worked some miracles.

True, you can't send them "home", but you can send them back to the parents and tell them that their behavior is unacceptable, and they can no longer be allowed in the clubs because they are disruptive to all the other kids. Real easy to do. You give a few warnings first, then you stop it. At schools and camp kids get suspended and expelled all the time, why should bad behavior be accepted on a cruise ship??

I think DCL was too lenient on those parents and kids. I would have billed those parents for all the items those children broke!!

He's having a ball. Its a bit interesting with the changes in Divisions this year. Impulse was a good Div 3 corp, as it is on the smaller side, but being grouped with the Div 2's now is tough on the smaller corps. But he loves what he's doing. Many of our local smaller corps are not making the trip to finals this year, due to travel expenses and the economy, which is sad. So I'm glad Impulse decided to still make the trek to Indiana for DCI world finals. It was nice having finals at the Rose Bowl in our own backyard last year...I'm sad not to be able to see them in prelims & quarterfinals. He is really excited to see Phantom Regiments show this year...it is truly amazing.

Oh my, Michelle. Hope you get them soon. My TA gave ours to my sister yesterday. She's coming over to the island for a family reunion this weekend, so I'll get them in my hot little hands tomorrow. Can't wait - it's getting so real now - 2 weeks today we're in DL.

The 13 lb box is on a delivery truck, speeding it's way to my front porch! Finally showed up on the Fedex tracking! So the PO is going to be busy tomorrow.

Have the kids today so this is going to slow me down a bit. So much to do.

K, I am probably going to get my camera this week so if Devon doesn't connect with yours let me know. I have extra memory cards and I am almost 100% susre I will be bringing DSs laptop so we will load it with photo programs to transfer and perhaps burn a disc.

Our family too, has not seen any of the movies. At least there will be 2 of us!

Count me as 3. Yup I will finally admit it............haven't seen a one. Cheryl knew the secret.

I actually used to drink alot of soda! Then I just slowly stopped....changed to mostly water and a little soda per day as a treat (like with dinner) lost a little weight by doing that and I don't really miss it...
