Found out the answer to my question and am taking this off so we don't waste bandwidth on something I no longer need.

Thanks.

I work in a school office, and this was our first week of school (year round). We don't mark anyone absent the first 3 days of school, but after that we start dropping kids, that we call after phone messages have not been . .

I didn't know anyone still did year round school! My brothers & sister went to year round elementary school the year we lived in San Diego -- I was in Jr Hi and they didn't do yr round.

We got our FE gifts this week and have been buying a few things. I really need to get to work on my Scarlett costume. I am not sure what I am going to do though--DS11 thinks I need to raise the neckline - ha:rotfl: He cracks me up. I have gotten the boys excited and now they want to dress up. All we have to do is get Christopher to do it. Maybe I will pack something for him anyway!

As the mother of 2 sons I have heard that before! LOL! I tell 10ds that he is lucky because he got the old mom! LOL! When his brother (28) was his age I was in my 20's! LOL! :rotfl:

Hi....AndyR's mother in law(the nice kind!) checking in! Grass's

Good morning everyone! Greetings from Chicagoland. Here for the Mid-West Mini Meet. Can't wait to meet everyone.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

We are 1 of 3 left in our district, but next year it looks like we will be going traditional. Which turned out as a good thing for me because I will not only be taking a pay cut for it (will go from a 12 to a 11 mo position), but would have had to cancel this cruise if it had happened next year as the traditional year starts Aug 11 and my boss won't let personnel take the first 2 weeks of school off.

I have a cruise photo of DH and I in our formal gear and when my son first saw it he looked at his dad and said "You let mom wear that! It's a little low don't you think"

I remember Arthur's.... I also remember going to get disney pewter things at Hudson pewter at their big xmas sale (those lines in the morning:scared1: ).... Ahhh the good old days!!!!

~Penny

Don't remember the pewter store, but I do miss Arthur's. It was like our own little local Christmas Tree Shop ('cept better), even before most had heard of CTS

I remember Arthur's ... I was convinced that I could find my wedding dress for $99 (also pondered "renting" it because I couldn't rationalize spending crazy amounts of money for a dress that I'd only wear for a couple of hours and then hang in my closet ... course that was before I actually got engaged ;) ) I wasn't actually able to find anything there. BUT, I ended up getting my gown from a place in Natick for only $299 :cheer2:

I spent more on alterations than I did for the gown, then I spent more on my veil then I did on the completed gown  . So much for the $$$ I saved at Arthur's :thumbsup2

I have probably seen the answer here but, as the pages have been flying fast and furious, it may not have registered.

In know that at WDW we can send packages ahead of us and they will be waiting at our resorts.

Can we do the same thing when staying in DL? I am going to be spending a four day pre-stay at the Grand Californian and want to ship some things to myself to make sure that my luggage is not overweight when flying.
  1. Can this be done? And, if so,
  2. How is this done?
Many thanks, ahead of time, for the help on this.

I am sure you can - just about every hotel/resort allows it. I always mark it:

"Hold for arrival (my name) along with check in date and reservation number". I also send it UPS or Fed-x so it needs to be signed for and print the signed receipt b4 I leave home and have it with me so that if it does get misplaced, they at least know where to begin to look for it.

Hope that helps

Gotta love the Philadelphia area Post Office:

Ummm... what happened to my booty yesterday?

Andrew mentioned Albertsons.com over on the Pirate Zone. Does anybody know if they deliver to the hotels and if the hotels will accept the delivery?

:rotfl:

Groan.....

Found this thread on the HoJo website. It discusses nearby grocery stores and also talks about ordering online. At least one poster has ordered and delivered to the hotel before.

So I'm pretty sure the online stores will deliver to various hotels. It would probably be a good idea to call your particular hotel to check on how they would handle delivery if you haven't checked in yet, or are not in your room.

Morning everyone , finally got some sleep after the long Iphone Day

I saw this on the web somewhere and thought this was perfect for some of us Apple Pirates ...

Thanks Roger. Somehow my Google Earth stopped giving me all the merchants. DS showed me something and I guess he didn't reset it.:confused3 Any way to get the Drugstores listed nearby? Most carry water and here in Fl some Liquor.]
All the grocery stores here in Cali carry liquor and beer. I know that's different in other states, but here in Cali you can get most of what you need at the grocery store - wine, liquor, beer, water, meds, food, etc. It's one-stop shopping around here! :cool1:

If you are staying at one of the DL resort hotels, you will have to pay a "receiving fee" to have a package shipped/delivered to your hotel (I believe). :confused3 We have a conference at DLH every year for my work and we have to pay a lot to receive boxes there. Sometimes we have them delivered to the Hojo where other employees stay and then they bring it over. Definitely cuts down on some costs.

Looks like a copy and paste gone bad. The link actually is to his photo of surrounding grocery stores.
Here's another link to the Tall Ships. Hopefully it works!
