Not true... I've seen a couple of people arrested at the security check point, not sure why in ONE case. While in the other I know a GUN was involved!

So much for the TSA. I was just unpacking and found a 12oz bottle of water that was in my carry-on. No one will confess to putting it in my bag and it obviously was not caught.
When I was going through DFW on the way through and forgot to take out my "3-1-1" baggie and they completely took apart my carry-on.
According to Readers Digest the pilots think it is all for show anyway.

I see the boards are still jumbled up this morning! How confusing! :lmao: :lmao:

I thought that I already posted to this....but now are you repeating yourself too? LOL!

I kno...

I replied to this twice too... but I have too much fun dredging up images to accompany "these" sort of replies to pass it up.

OK... so we're taking our breakfast late (I came up to the room to get a sweater for Julianna... it's chilly in the lobby restuarant)... and we're about to check out to meet friends enroute ... as we'll probabky sit for lunch with them -since we dined so recently - and the it's off for the camp ground. We're in a real tent (only the 3rd or 4th time in my LIFE in a tent in the great outdoors!) close to a river of some sort. Only thing is the air quality may not be so hot due to the fires in NoCal... but on the flip side of things - it should make for a gorgous sunset!

Cheers til tomorrow evening IF our next hotel - the Sheraton 4 points - has free wifi or net access!

Be good everyone!

Cleaning my desk this morning and ran across something that I had forgotten about. Anyone that has Google Earth, have you ever hit Ctrl + Alt + A. Have fun.

Good morning everyone!

Edit: Checked Deb's site..I see it is closing 9/27/08..will have to make sure we go when we are there...bummer!

Phew all caught up! It's been a lot of fun reading quotes before they were posted. I was days behind so forgive the following groundhogs:

Well go easy on the posts the next two days....

Grandmom G passed away this morning.

Funeral is on Friday. I promise to wave if we pass Aston area on the way home. (although it is way easier and less traffic to come home by way of Harrisburg)

I don't know which is worse... being at a funeral or having to play nice with my almost non-existant dad...:faint:

So sorry for your loss!

Good Lord.... ok scratch that shopping list... Write down Mike's cabin #. :thumbsup2

I was going to say the same thing! :hyper:

Thanks for all your concern about my darlingGD Genevieve.  Her fever finally came down but she is still very weak.:worried: Still no appetite but I think on the road to recovery.::yes:: I think I am not eating at all while in Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

So glad she is getting better! How scary that must've been!

"They were on our bed when we boarded/got to room last night"

Would that ever mess with people

My DD wants to know why I'm cracking up! If I tell her, she will just roll her eyes. She doesn't get the DIS humor! :bitelip:

Hi Gang,

ATTENTION!!

Okay - Pirate Bus Update:

Today I signed and faxed the revised contract to the bus company and gave them my credit card info.

We will have 4 buses - and will have a 15-20 minute stop at a supermarket (e.g. Vons) on the way to the terminal. (alcohol is sold at the markets)

The price per person depends on how many are going - I estimate $10.50 - $11. pp

Please send a confirmation to Wendy - Smeecanada. Once she has the tally - I'll pm everyone w/my address or paypal accout info.

Please don't pm me now - I'm leaving tomorrow for the Mex. Riviera Cruise and won't be back untl July 6th!!

I'll check in tomorrow - if there are any questions.

:worship:

My first rotation is over! I actually had a good time with the people that worked there, they were a fun bunch. And I learned some really useful things, which was the whole point. I also got a job interview out of it. I think it went really well; the recruiter told me to watch for a job offer in mid-August. I'd like to stay with Target, and I have an interview with them in a few weeks. But if that doesn't work out, this seems like a good company to work for too. It just seems weird to be interviewing for a job when I won't be ready and licensed for it for another year.

The kids are back home with us. We went up to get them from my parents last night. Boy, did they get spoiled up there last week. They went miniature golfing, to a batting cage, rode bumper boats, went fishing, and went up 82 feet in the air in the bucket of a fire truck. They had a blast, but last night they said it was good to be home!

Good luck with the career! :thumbsup2

What is it with these stick figures...

I bought these Interactive Cubes, where the stick guys "jump" into each other's cube, at the Discovery Store, thinking the kids would get a such a kick out of it. Well, they are totally violent with each other when they enter each other's cube :scared1: . Bad Babysitter - totally inappropriate

So now they're MINE!!!

Well you would think the Discovery Store would have something "educational". Cade (much older than your little ones of course) has those cubes, but he got bored with them fast. They do tend to do the same thing over & over again.

I got fighter jets. Is that what you meant? Now since this is the last post of this page, I'm curious to see where it lands. I'm right after Dianne at 4:18.

Everything worked fine this time. Maybe we are safe????

Since all of the other quotes of this post are before this post, this one will probably be too but... on our first cruise our tablemates were attacked by someone in the theater because the DH sat in a seat that someone was saving right before the show started. It delayed the show start and the commedian included what happened in his show the next night. The DISer was okay and was supported by the CMs who helped him and his family. The woman he sat next to had a bit too much to drink at dinner and incited what happened. It was terrible that his kids ... or anyone else ... had to witness something like that. :(

That's terrible! I've posted my story on the Dis before. But, the guy yelled and berated me for quite sometime -- my dh was with 2 of the kids buying drinks & snacks -- I didn't see a CM and none of the people sitting around us said anything.
I sat there and told him that perhaps he should read the rules and listen to the announcements and he would know there is no saving seats. ;)
When my dh got to the seats the guy shut up -- my dh is over 6 ft and this guy was probably all of 5'8" -- and then he sat right next to me.
When he realized that I didn't care and his wife, mother & some other relative all came down and told him they didn't want to sit there.... that was when he dumped the drink and said *Ha Ha now you can't use that seat* What a moron.

Really? You get your KTTW card where then if you are taking DCL transportation? We do need to rush for Palo so hopefully we'll get there early enough from LAX...

You only get your KTTW card early if you check in at one of Disney's hotels.

You have got to be kidding me! That is one of my biggest pet peeves, is saving seats (alot of them) in the WDT. What childish behavior because he didn't get his way....what a 2 year old. :furious: :headache:
Good for you!

I'm pretty stubborn AND I am a rule follower. ;) No way was I letting some jerk have an entire row! LOL!

Lets see, tank of gas to get there and back equals $75, 7 tickets to the movie...equals about $75...getting to meet you early...priceless! :) :) :) Wait, would that mean I would be on your phone list, I don't know if I have that much time!! ;)

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Congratulatisn on the rotation/job and on the kids being home! No one ever takes my kids -- the grandparents all live in the same city and they just don't do that sort of thing. :confused3
My mother couldn't since she still works full time.

I'm sure this has already been asked before, but search isn't working for me now.

What days are people planning on doing laundry? Do you think it would be better to try it early or late on a port day? I just got back from a trip to DL where I really overpacked and I'm trying to pack as light as possile for the cruise. I figure I'll need to do laundry a couple of times. I'm figuring sea days might be too crowded?

On the last Panama cruise funny enought the laudry was very very busy on Paanam crossing day, My DW thought she would do it then as she has 'seen it before' but we had to go to deck 2 from 7, ( we were on 8,) as all were full.

The best days are the 'port' days if you stay on ship or get back early. Or dinner times.

As this cruise is 15 nights and there are flight luggage restrictions more people will have to do their washing on board, so the laudry will be bust after the first few days.

We found on our Med cruise the perfect time was 4.45pm on Rome day, we got back early, Dinner was later at 6.30pm and we did it without problem.

We had a couple of irritating things happen on an otherwise great WDW trip.
The 1st one was on our 3rd day we encountered the infamous "Brazillian Tour Groups", complete with screaming and chanting everywhere (really annoying when in small spaces) kids. At first we kind of laughed it off as kids having a good time away from home w/ their friends. That ended quickly when DH went for FP's to Soarin. There was a return time of 12:15 so we were good. Bill took forever to meet back up and I asked him what took so long. He said that the Brazillian guides (W/ the big flag sticks) came and took up every single FP distribution line and had a stack of passes 4 inches thick each!! He said he just watched the return time go up and up while there was nothing he could do. There were not any CM's around.

The 2nd thing was digital cameras. It seemed like in every show and ride people were putting their bright displays right in our way. If you have a display on your camera and lift it up to take a picture or a video- chances are you are in someone's way. This same thing happened to me on the DCL. One night at the Hercules show the man directly in front of me had his video camera out and holding it up. It was so annoying. When I told him to please put it down he acted like he did not understand me. I guess I should have dumped my drink on him and said "Now try using your camera". :rotfl:

Sorry I missed chat yesterday, we had a really busy afternoon of making our fish extender (version 2) and getting our FE gifts sorted. We just have a few to finalise now and we are done.

We are really pleased with our FE, the first one was simply awful so this attempt is much, much better.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! We are also counting down - 4 pays to before we leave. :rotfl2:

Tell me exactly how to do this. If I just go to Google Earth and do that, nothing happens. :confused3

:lmao: That was sooo rude of him!!!! I would have kept leaning forward and talking the entire time -- it would of ruined his *film*! LOL! And Hercules is my favorite DCL show!!!
