8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

I have three different clients whom I have been trying to get off their duffs and get me the background I need to move forward on their projects. I've been trying since May with some of them. They, of course, are finally waking up this week. So all I can think is how in the heck am I going to get it all done before Aug. 7 (that's when we leave for DL). I REALLY don't want a bunch of work hanging over my head on this vacation.

We are going too! me (43), dd (12), and dd (14). This is our second time on the Magic. Our first time cruising in the Pacific. We are going Scuba diving in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta and the Best of Mazitlan excursion - all with Disney. Any pointers would be appreciated!

I have a dd (11) going and we are also scuba diving in Cabo...Glad to see some other girls around her age doing that...And We are doing the Mazitlan exursion too! We will have to get them to meet!

Welcome...its nice to "see" new people. I also have a DD 12 and DD 14 who will be on the cruise, so hopefully our girls can meet. Emily is 12 and Molly is 14 and will be celebrating her 15th Bday on the Magic Aug14th

Oh Good! Another group of girls! I will have to let mine know (11). They can all meet at our Meet and Greet!

Welcome to all of the new people who have joined our group! The more the merrier! I've been in the midst of making decorations for our room doors - we have 3 cabins in our group. Brooklyn made us one of the ones with the
treasure map itenerary. I can't figure out how to place the image in my post but here is the link to the thread. Maybe you can figure out how to change the name on it and use it too.

My fish extender that I ordered from e-bay should be arriving at my house any day now. I also need to go shopping to get some goodies for the exchange. I am also thinking about making matching t-shirts for the 7 of us in our party for when we boad the ship. Lime green of course. AC Moore has t-shirts on sale this week, 5 for $10. In a week and a half it will seem like the trip is really upon on because that is when I will take the luggage down from the attic. Meanwhile, my son has just come home from a week away at Boy Scout Camp. My daughter is going away to Girl Scout Camp the 3rd - 8th. We leave on the 9th. I have nightmares of all of the laundry I am going to be doing Friday night so that I can finish packing for her !

The design I was talking about is not actual door magnet. My plan was to posted inside the door for family use.

Here's my first attempt to post it.

You can just copy this and print it on what ever paper you want. I used a photo paper and came out superb!!

I am also creating a REAL magnet which I will place it on the door out side.
Addition to that, I went to Home Depot and got a few disney color chips, cut out, punched a hole (I had a mickey shape puncher from DL!!) put those ribbons you use for balloons, curled them, put small magnet strip on the back, and voila! You see this on magnetic door sign thread and yes, I stole the idea again.

I made a mistake! We are not scuba diving, we are snorkeling! I dont know what I was thinking! We have never scuba dived! That's what happens when you are trying to do many things at the same time... Well maybe they can still have some fun together anyway!

I just ordered my fish extender I am not sure when I will get it I am having it personalized. I ordered it from EBAY it was $30 incl. shipping. I printed out my calendar magnet it was crazy trying to get it to print right after copying and pasting and adding our name and anniversary date and excursions. Still am looking for FE gifts trying to figure out what I am going to be getting. I want to go into Seattle and see if I can find anything special maybe Seattle salt water taffy I would pick up some fudge but I don't think it would make it Well see you all soon

We still might be on the same dive boat anyway. They send the snorklers and the scuba people out together sometimes. If not, there is always the kids' club!!

Hmmm...I was thinking maybe I would do Atlantic City Salt Water Taffy but if they have that in Seattle maybe I will do Atlantic City $5 Poker Chips instead or Disney Poker Playing Cards????

We had a ton of fun getting them certified and we have had a fantastic time diving since then! We've been doing it for two years now - 10 years old is the minimum age to get certified. The highlight for them was diving in the EPCOT tank while everyone watched (including three tiger sharks !).
