8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

Welcome it nice to have you here. We are also in the San Francisco area and have a big group like you. There is myself (41) DH (48) DD(20) DD(14-15) DD(12) DM and DD (not allowed to say)! It is sometimes harder for the older teens 18-20 to meet people on the cruise so I hope you are at the "meet and greet" :grouphug: :grouphug: that wonderful Jeff has so graciousously arranged.

We'll be there! Looking forward to meeting you all. Once I can get my act together this week, I'll PM our info.

I am still a newbie - I looked up what a fish extender is so I know what to make, but how do we play the game?? Do we chose names like Secret Santa or do we get something for everyone? Is it suppose to be something from our locale? (in my case I guess that would be Philly Cheesesteaks and Yuengling beer (Pennsy. Dutch Birch Beer for the kiddies) :) ) :3dglasses

I will NOT object to you bringing me a Philly cheesesteak and Yuengling (even though they make that closer to Pittsburgh than Philly) but really it's just little stuff - usually geared toward the kids. Candy, small gifts either Disney related or from your region. If you search back on our thread about 10 pages or so you'll see some discussion of it.

Hey Keith,, Nice to meet you! where you from??? We live in Easton, Pa... about an hour and 1/2 North of Philly and an hour South west of NYC. We (me...Jami 34, and DH...Scott 37)will be on our 1st Disney cruise and traveling with our 33 month old daughter Jenni!:goodvibes
Headin' down to Atlantic City tomorrow for a one night stay at the Trop. We will spend more time on the beach an eating than gambling ,however. Yup... we are taking Jenni!

Do you want fried onions and peppers on that? :teeth:

We live in South Jersey about 30 minutes east of Philly. Love going to AC!! Lots of great restaurants there!! Enjoy!

Same here, exactly!!

Are you coming non-stop from Auburn?? In that case, we cannot complain. It only takes us a good 5-6 hours ONLY. We go pass Auburn every time we come back from Tahoe!! Plus, my DS's best friend's grandma lives in Green Valley, so we here a lot about your neighborhood.

Have a safe driving, and if you see an Asian teeny tiny 4 year old w/ piggy tales running all over Legoland, that will be our DD4. You can find our DS6 stuck at the world display section for sure. :scared1:

Did you know Costco has a great Legoland deal which is a three month exclusive Legoland membership, but cheeper than regular one day admission? If you have not bought the ticket yet, check costco.com>travel>legoland.

Ayumi

Yes, I'm driving straight through to LA from Auburn with the boys (DH will fly down late in the week). I figure if I leave in the wee hours the kids'll sleep and I'll miss rush hour traffic in every city. DH and I have done this before, but I haven't tried the drive alone with the boys yet. :scared1:

We'll look for you at Legoland; I'll be the one frantically chasing DS8, who will be chasing DS1, who will be running around like a little whirlwind. Thanks for the great Costco tip - we'll try that next time. This time around, I cashed in some Amex reward points for free Legoland passes. :woohoo:

Yuengling

I don't mind having one of those. Are they some kind of drinks? (JK!):drinking1
During my college years (a long short time ago), I had my best friend at State College, so I was either in Pgh or there, but never heard of Yuenglings. I feel like I missed a lot of stuff. I must ask my best friend if she ever had one.

Anyway, I found tons of glow sticks while I was doing summer cleaning. I will be putting them in your FEs, if you have one. :darth:

Wow, you must be a brave mom!! I used to be able to drive forever, but for some reason, my eyes get tired before my body does. Have a safe long trip, really. :thumbsup2

Using Amex reward is a smart way to go! I never thought of it. That is a deal you cannot beat! See you at Legoland!:darth: :yoda: :chewy:

Now I am done with door magnets, two down!!

I took DISigner Brooklyn's design and made an Pirate itinerary for our cruise dates so that my kids can follow where we are each day. It does not have family name like what she makes, I switched some graphics around, I added days of the week.

If any of you are interested, I can post it here so you can print at home.

Now the only thing left to do before cruise is to make FE and pack, sigh

Yay! That's awesome!:cheer2:

Ayumi, I'd love to see your magnet design, too - it sounds great and maybe it will inspire me.
Me too!:yay: I haven't started on door decorations yet. I just ordered a fish extender on ebay. After seeming like we had so much time to get things done, it now feels like I don't have enough time.:scared1: I still need to get my boys some dining room appropriate pants and a shirt for formal night. I also need to do some shopping for FE gifts. :rolleyes1

So much to do! So much to do!:scared:

:lmao: Too Funny. You know there was a long period of time when there were only 3 or 4 people posting on this board - Karen, myself and Michelle for awhile with others popping in and out now and then. Now this board is more active than ever and it's upping the sense of urgency for everything. And Karen...where are you???????????? Come back!!!! You are like the board leader...kept it going for all those months when there wasn't anyone else here.
