That"s exactly our plan, too! Kids will play in the sand as long as they want to while adults take turns to do snorkeling(DH) or kayak (me!) Good choice, Andria!! I originally booked the later tour, but since we really need to get down to HRC and also, this veteran Riviera cruiser mentioned me that it gets way too hot in the afternoon and suggested me to go earlier tour. Oh, wait a minutes, you went to that thread also. She said there will be clay painting and animal encounters. That might interest my kids. Remember, my kids are 6 & 4, so I am sure if they like it, your kids will love it, too!
For Cabo, we are not doing tour through
DCL. The glass-bottom boat I am talking about is not really a tour that you book ahead of time (you could, though). It is more like water taxi with sight seeing automatically comes with it. You just go down to the pier and talk to the driver and get in one. You can let it act like a sight seeing boat and just come right back (this is what DCL offers), which takes about 45 minutes wild ocean ride, or you can get off and stay on Lovers Beach for your desired length and later they come collect you. It is about $10-15/adult and normally, kids are free. So this is what we are doing. I hope you can picture it. I will post a link if I find one with better explanation.
My DS6 swims, however, I do not want him in the open ocean. Cabo water can get pretty wild, plus I heard they have jellyfish. My kids are happy just being on the sand.
