8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

Anyone else want to join us???? :dance3:

Bumping us up! Hope everyone's having a good week. I've just said goodbye to DS13 who's off skiing for a week in the French Alps - tho' TBH it looks (and feels) like it wants to snow in London! Anyway to make me feel a little warmer, I've put a countdown ticker on the page so it feels a little more real...

:cheer2: :woohoo::cheer2: :woohoo::cheer2: Only 16 months and 2 weeks to go!!! :cheer2: :woohoo::cheer2: :woohoo::cheer2:

Karen - sounds like a fun trip for your son!
My kids will be starting Spring Break next week and this time next week we'll be boarding the Magic for our 2nd cruise! I just checked the weather on St. Thomas...83 degress and sunny skies!!!!! I can't wait!
Have a good week everyone, let's keep us bumped up so we don't fall back to page 3 or worse.

Wow - I'd love to be cruising next week! :beach:

Let us know what the Eastern Caribbean cruise is like - I'm thinking I may book that one onboard in September. Have a wonderful time... :thumbsup2

My husband John, myself Lisa, my mother Judy and my step-father Bill are planning to be there! Can't wait. My mother got the veranda and we will be sharing with her since we booked an inside cabin to save money. I have lots of other places I want to visit!

We did the Mexican Riviera last time and are looking forward to it this time (without kids)

Nice to have you onboard, Lisa!

It's a gorgeous day here in London - sunny with bright blue skies. I've even been able to put the top down on my car so it feels like summer's definitely on it's way... :thumbsup2

At the moment I'm glued to an old copy of PassPorter (3rd edition) which contains details of the West Coast excursions! Even tho' this trip is so far away, I can't stop myself from going into planning mode... :rolleyes1

Hello - hope everyone's having a good week. :thumbsup2 Does anyone who's been on the Mexican Riviera cruise before know if the dining rotations stay the same as the Caribbean cruises? Do they still have a Pirates Night despite not being in the Caribbean?? And are there still the Palo Brunch/High Tea options??? Sorry for all the questions - hopefully someone will be able to satisfy my curiosity... :thanks:

Not sure if they are the same rotation since I've never been on the Caribbean cruises. They do have pirate night on the Mexican cruise, it was when we were in Puerta Vallarta but I noticed that the ports are in a different order this time.

Oooh I'd not noticed that! The itinerary this time is Port of Los Angeles; At Sea; Cabo San Lucas; Mazatlán; Puerto Vallarta; At Sea; At Sea; Port of Los Angeles. I think the brunches take place on At Sea days so we'll have to see... :thumbsup2

Not a lot of action going on here, so I thought I'd give us a gentle nudge! Hope everyone is well and having a good week! :thumbsup2 Another week closer to the cruise... :woohoo:

Hi everyone. Just giving us a little nudge so we don't get lost in the back pages!

I wonder if any of you can help with a small dilemma I have? This cruise is going to be part of an extended trip to the West Coast and we were going to visit San Francisco afterwards but I've read that August is not a good time - is this true?

What are the reasons you are being given for August not being a good time? Having lived in CA all my life, August and September are my favorite months weatherwise. However, it is summer, and school is out so the crowds will be there in August. You won't need to worry about rain at all. It is very rare in the summer, but do expect lots of fog. Some Californians affectionately refer to August as "Fogust". So, if you can handle the crowds, it is a great time to see such a beautiful city!

Sorry, no help with Las Vegas. We aren't gamblers, but would love to go just for the shows and shopping :-) It will be more than hot there in August!!!

It said in my guide book that it wasn't the best time to visit San Francisco due to the fog and lower temperatures. I decided that (as I come from the UK and the weather's nothing if not changeable) we'd just get on with it and spend time there anyway as it's high on all our lists of must-see cities. Thanks for the reassurance! :thumbsup2

You'll have a great time with that attitude! Just bring a jacket and expect frizzy hair from all the moisture in the air (well, that is what mine does!). Coastal California does not have weather extremes like other parts of the US, so I'm surprised your guide book even mentions that. Just remember - layers, layers, layers and have fun! And yes, the line is worth the wait for the cable cars (not the trolleys....) ;)

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter!!!

I'm off to Paris for the weekend so have fun, guys! :thumbsup2

Anyone else out there want to join us? :)

Shocked to find us on Page 4!!! :scared1: So giving us a nudge in the right direction...

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to our Mexican Party Cruise! Anyone else out there wanna be a part of it? :confused3

Hi all! We're all booked for the Mexican Party cruise! Our crew consists of me, DW(celebrating her b-day during the cruise), DS(11), and twin DD's(5). It will be our first DCL cruise (of many, I hope). Been lurking in the boards since we started talking about going and now it's official!:woohoo: DW really wanted to try DCL but I wasn't convinced(i.e., too much of a tightwad). After she finally broke, er, convinced me, I started reading everything on the DIS boards and now I can't wait. She's making fun of how much time I spend in here, but me and DS love reading the trip reports and tips from previous cruisers.

Really looking forward to talking with you all over the next 15 months!

Nice to have you onboard, Mr. McFly and family!
