7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Hey Dancing Queens

I hope you're having a nice morning

Betsy ~ :yay: Congratulations on getting the job at the vets. :wizard:Fingers crossed that you get more hours there

I look forward to seeing your pics of Julia's graduation

Robin ~ :wizard: Good Luck at getting a reservation at CRT

Paul is in the motor industry. They specialise in concept (futuristic) work and in the past they have built one-off concept cars for General Motors and other big car companies for Motor Shows. Unfortunately when the economy is doing well, so is their company, but when there is a recession, they end up making many redundant or put on short time :(

Kelly ~ Have you forgotten us ? We miss you  I hope you are all keeping well

Well it's a dull and damp day over here, and I haven't got much to do, so I think I will spend my day on the DIS :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a great day girls :)

I sent Liz a link to all the dining at Disney and now she's not sure that she wants to eat in "the castle".

So I will wait until she is done looking them all over and then we will decide.

I know what you mean about the automotive industry.

It is a very large part of our economy here and it does cause a lot of ups and downs.

Today is a rainy day here too, at least so far.

I don't know yet what I'm going to do. It feels so strange to not have anything really pressing on my schedule.

Maybe I will just sit back for a bit and savour the moment:)

:banana::banana:Woohoo !! It's nearly the weekend :banana::banana:

Have you got any plans ? Are you doing anything nice ?

Tomorrow night Paul & I are going to Birmingham for the night, so hopefully we'll have a nice meal somewhere. Then it's Father's Day on Sunday (is it Father's Day for you too ?), so we're taking Paul out for dinner (though it will feel more of a treat for me, as I won't have to cook or wash up :rotfl2:)

Have a great weekend girls :)

Yes it is Father's Day here this weekend too.

We have no plans.

We will have no children at home.

Liz is leaving tomorrow to begin her journey to her summer camp job.

She is stopping to visit a friend along the way and then continuing on to her brother's apartment to stay the night. On Sunday she will finish driving the rest of the way to camp.

It will be a pretty quiet summer around here this year.

I hope everyone is having a very nice fathers day.

The weather is fantastic here today.

I'm planning on stopping in to see my dad this afternoon for a bit and going to my mom's for dinner tonight:thumbsup2

Hi gals!!! Oh I have missed you all!!

Ugh... the last couple of months have been really stressful! I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel now :goodvibes Hopefully soon things will be close to norm, if not, someone will be slapping a straight jacket on me.

Glad to see you all are doing well! I hope all of your young-uns... grandkids... and hubbies are doing well also!

The kids got out of school last Wed. Chad is working more hours and Carolin has been hopping from house to house with her friends spending the night and visiting the beaches. So it's just CW, myself, and little Colby. :upsidedow

From this day on... I promise to post more! I wonder what you all are up to quite a bit!

Yay !! Kelly's back !! ;)

It's great to have you back Kelly. Sorry to hear that things have been rather stressful, but I hope everything is starting to settle down for you

I hope you all had a nice weekend, we had a great one. Paul & I enjoyed our night away on Saturday night, then we all went out last night and took Paul out for a meal for Father's Day - it was lovely to be out as a family

Have a lovely day girls :)

Hey Kelly, nice to have you back.

Don't stay away so long next time.

We really do miss you:goodvibes

It was a very glorious summer day here today.

Nice and hot, not always sunshiney though but heck who's complaining:confused3

Morning ladies.

Today I have to go and get some food in this house.

Also I need to buy some flowers for the backyard.

I haven't planted any yet and apparently the old lady next door (87 years old) thinks that I am not well because I haven't planted my flowers as I normally do.

Her daughter in law told me how much the old lady enjoys my flowers so now I guess I have to go out and get it done:rotfl:

Have a great day everyone.

Pictures of machinery arriving on Monday:

We had 3 of these big trucks full of stuff that we got in Chicago. Very neat trucks. The black part on the back just rolls together like an accordian to allow you to get at what's inside.

The inside of the back of the shop will never look so big and clean again:

A picture taken from nearer to the front of the shop towards the back.

Now, where the heck are we gonna put all of this STUFF :scared1:

Wow, impressive photos Robin, the machinery is some size

Well, it's been another lovely, sunny day here today. I had my hair trimmed first thing, then I was able to spend an hour or so in the garden

I can't believe that you're off to WDW in just over a couple of week Robin, it'll be here before you know it

Betsy, have you started your job at the Vets yet ? I hope you enjoy it, :wizard: good luck

Kelly,

Enjoy the rest of your day girls :)

Great picture of the girls Betsy.

Thanks for sharing, they look nice and cool as opposed to what it is here right now.

It is 80º already this morning.

Yes, those were some pretty big trucks and machines that we had delivered there. Always interesting to watch them work at unloading the stuff.

Enjoy your lovely weather Mandy.

I know that I'm enjoying our heat.

I'm using it as "training" to get ready for Florida in 2 weeks and 2 days :teeth::cool1:

That and I'm driving a car with no airconditioning:scared1:

That is not necessarily a fun thing to do in this type of weather but heat training is heat training. :rotfl:

Hey Girls

What a great photo of the girls Betsy, they look like they're having a fun time. It sounds like you had a good time with Brittany too ~ what did you get her ?

Enjoy the warm weather Robin, it's been very warm but cloudy today. I'd better make the most of it though as heavy rain is due over the weekend (typical !!)

All is quiet over here. I took my mum to have her hair done this morning, then I dyed Becky's hair (black & brown) when I got home, then tonight we're going to Becky's school for a Year 11 leavers presentation evening

Have a lovely day girls :)

Hey DWDQ's

Wow, what a weird day it has been so far, with all the coverage of Michael Jackson's death. I went to bed last night, and checked the news as Paul had said that Farrah Fawcett had died, and MJ news was playing out live on the TV. Such sad news :sad1:

Last night we went to Becky's Year 11 Presentation, where she was picking up some certificates, but she also picked up a prize for 'The Faculty Prize for Child Development' and she won a glass award, a book and a gift card ~ she looked so embarrassed :rotfl2:

I've just had a letter from the school this morning, inviting us to view her Photography work at an exhibition of the Art Department, showing on Tuesday afternoon, so that should be interesting too

What are your plans for the weekend ? We haven't got anything planned at the moment, but hopefully we'll get to see Transformers at some point

Have a great weekend girls :)

morning

yes iI had heard about Farrah yesterday but when I heard about Michael this morning I was quite shocked.

Being out at the airplane field I hadn't heard any news. (meaning I was away from the DISboards, my number one source for news:thumbsup2 )

We will still be out at the field for the rest of the weekend.

I came into town again to let the cats out for a bit and to pick up some things for dinner tonight.

Have a good weekend ladies.
