Have a good weekend everyone.

I'm off today until Sunday for a model airplane thingy with my husband.

We are going to be camping with another couple and their 2 big black labs in a trailer. Should be fun

A whole bunch of other people will be there too. It's kind of a big social weekend.

Talk to you all when I get back. :wave2:

Be safe and have fun camping, Robin! :butterfly

Hiya Colleen,
Thanks for the site...

I just found this and am thinking of doing it...
http://www.windsorequestriancentre.com/trails.php

Has anybody done this before?....Its not thru. the DCL..
and its $110 a person(OUCH!)....BUT one of my many dreams have been to go riding on a beach...and what better place then the Bahamas..right?

Ouch is right, Betsy!! That would be $440 for our family (if one does it, we all do it)! YIKES!! It does sound awfully romantic, picturing you and your loved one riding on the beach at an exotic place

But then the following month, you get your credit card bill and reality slaps you in the face :rotfl2:

Colleen ~ Thanks for the link, I doubt that we will be doing any excursions, but it's always nice to see what's on offer

Betsy ~ The riding along the beach sounds wonderful and romantic, but wow that price is a bit steep !!

Hi everyone else

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, is anyone doing anything nice ? (enjoy your weekend Robin). I think Paul is working this weekend and the girls have been given quite a lot of homework (a bit unfair as they've only been back 2 days) so I will probably be dis-ing

See you here

Mandy :)

 Mandy!!

Nothing nice for us this weekend!! I'm kinda not looking forward to this weekend, I'm gonna try and push myself to clean out the attic and have a yard sale soon :sad2:

Gotta get rid of some things before they just go to waste :guilty:

:wizard: for the girl's! Homework, yuck

:wave2: Morning all

Kelly ~ Have fun clearing out your attic, I hope you do well with your yard sale

Wendy ~ I hope you are feeling a lot better now

Have a good weekend

Mandy :)

Hi all

Finally caught up....

Betsy thanks for the sight, I skimmed through it, looking forward to the adventure. The ride sounds cool, but $$!!

Robin have a nice weekend. I hope it won't be too cozy!! Kiss the labs for me :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :sunny:
Chat more later :grouphug:

My brothers and sister school just changed it so they have to wear uniforms
Suzi

My kids go to public school. No uniforms but there are some guidelines. Such as no tank tops, no shirts advertising drugs or alchohol of any kind (includes tobacco), skirts and shorts are allowed if they are 2" below fingertips, stuff like that. I wouldn't hesitate to send my kids in uniform though.
Cora came home from school the other day asking if she could wear "just PLAIN jeans" to school the next day. She was wearing the cutest pair of embroidered jeans by Zana Di from Penney's. They weren't cheap. But at school that day her new friend had plain jeans on. Cora said that's all her new friend had was plain jeans. Cora has plain jeans too, and I usually lay those out for art day or something. Anyway, she wore those plain jeans and was happy. Now she's back to wearing everything else. (which is usually a skirt on Fridays because she has assembly that day.)

she is amazing. it always warms my heart  when I hear about a child acting kind to another. It's so easy in this world to "look out for #1" -- and we don't have to teach our kids to do it. How wonderful for a child to reach out to another...

jennifer

Thanks!!

We've always known there was something special about Cora. It's like she has an old soul or something. She just knows and understands things she shouldn't, big emotional things, And she knows how to get her way too!! :lmao: We always thought it had something to do with her name....good vibes I guess. I mean, I never knew a Cora growing up. (though it is a family name), but everyone I know who knows a Cora, has wonderful memories of that person.

A question for all of you?

What does one buy for someone who is having their 8th child :confused3

Does that mother want something practical and useful, frivolous and cute, clothes, disposable diapers, something sentimental to keep :confused3

My son's girlfriend's mother is having her 8th child in a few weeks and I heard they were having a baby shower for her and that I was going to be invited.

Her oldest child will soon be 19 and the youngest is about 5-ish I'm guessing.

Any suggestions?

#8!! Holy Cow!!

I'm guessing that anything would be greatly appreciated. If the next youngest is 5, she may not have kept much. Who doesn't appreciate diapers? I also loved drool bibs, the teeny tiny ones, but I can never find them when I need to buy for someone else. I also like the mirror that attaches to the back seat aimed at the baby's face. You can see this mirror through the rear view mirror and actually see baby's face while your driving and they are seated backwards. I really like those sun blockers for the windows of the car too. I'm sure anything you decide on will be greatly appreciated.

Eric always tells me if I come back in another life, do it as a man so I don't have to go to baby showers, bridal showers, tupperware parties etc. :lmao:
