I like to thinka bout what I might eat as well...like will they be serving that pumpkin soup in Tritions on Nassau day? yum.

BIG QUESTION. Should I consider saving a couple hundred dollars and move back to a cat 9? Right now we have a cat 7. I'd move to a cat 11, but I know my DH will be happier with a window. I really wanted the balcony this time. Money is just getting tighter and I realized that we could pay for the transfers with that. Right now I owe about $5 on the cruise itself and still have to pay for passports, insurance (i won't be buying Disney's), and transfers. I think the price dif is just over $200.

Opinions. Will DH and I enjoy the balcony alone enough to justify it? That's only $100 more per person.....

Most of you have cruised more than I have. Give me your opinion please.

thanks.
jennifer

Hi Jennifer! I'm not an exp. by far as this will be our 2nd cruise, but... I am exp. when it comes to not having alot of alone time w/ DH :rotfl:

Keep that in mind when you make your final decision! How romantic to overlook the big ocean  on your balcony!! Heck, have them throw rose petals around in your room :teeth: Go all out!

So what are you trying to say Kelly ?? Are you ready ?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm telling you, if I had to pack my case in an hour, that would be no problem, I am so excited and looking forward to it

Mandy :)

I'd be right there, too!

I think that's what's sooo cool about talking to you guys! I'm glad to know that there are people who are just as preoccupied w/ this cruise like I am! Like Spongebob says....

I perfectly understand.

Now this cruise we are going on in November, I was talking to one of the women we are going with on the weekend. I asked her........do you know when you are flying out yet.........no she says. :confused3 Are you taking the ships transportation from the airport to the terminal.......... I have no idea she says :confused3 I just said book it I'm not interested in the details. ~~~~ What the heck.....I'm thinking, you don't know the answers to these basic questions. They've gone before so I'm pretty sure she does have the answers to SOME of these questions.

Actually what I think the problem is, is that she doesn't like me and doesn't want me going on the same cruise that she is, so she doesn't want to tell me anything or talk to me about it :p BUT I was very nice to her and talked politely and at LEAST tried to converse with her. If she doesn't want to talk to me, that's her loss :lmao: Cause I really am a nice person ;)

Mandy, no pictures from the weekend. I didn't even bring the camera along with me. :sad2:

Wendy, I'm glad that you are getting those passports in order :thumbsup2

Mandy, I too could be ready to go very quickly if the need ever came up. Give me an hour or two notice and I'll be packed and waiting :teeth:

Busy night tonight. Dance classes start up and from 4:30 till 10:30, I think there is a 45 minute time period that neither Liz nor I am dancing :faint: Don't know how well it's going to work out but we're going to give it a try.

I NEED to dance again after all the eating I've been doing the past few weeks :dancer:

Too right Robin, that is her loss. If she can't talk to someone as friendly as you ~ then that's her problem. Thank goodness she's not coming on our cruise, that's all I can say ~ I don't think she'd be very impressed with me and all my Bahama Mamas :rotfl:

Mandy :)

Her loss by alot!! I'm sure you won't lose any sleep over someone like that :sad2: You're in good company here, gal! :thumbsup2

Is Rick prepared to rub them feet later on tonight? OMG... talk about some serious aches & pains!!

Speaking of exercise, just out of curiosity... how many of us are trying to slim down before the cruise??

I know I'm trying to fit back into some of the stuff I bought for the cruise last time :rotfl:

Mandy, you are too funny! :lmao:

Hey there, Wendy! Did you get to see Kayla?
We did!! We did!! We drove 2 hrs 20 mins to get there, checked out her room. Her roommate wasn't around so we didn't get to meet her. We wanted to take her to brunch....a nice sit down place, made to order meals...we're not familiar with the area so we settled for Tim Hortons. Not what I was hoping for,...I wanted some melon & berries. :guilty: I've gained 7 lbs this summer!(****top that Robin****) :teeth: After we ate we took her to Walmart to pick her up a few things. I need to reload her walmart gift card so she can just go get what she needs. She has quite a bit of money saved, but I hate to see her use too much of it cause she has her whole life to pay bills!
We bought the kids a lap harp. Have you seen these? You put the music under the strings and it shows you what to pluck! Very Cool. We've all had fun with it, makes it sound like you know what you are doing!! :teeth: Then we drove 2 hrs 20 mins home! Picked Randall up from his dads, got Cora ready for TKD, then it was time for Randall and I to go to our weapon classes.
I finally got to sit & relax at about 8:00! :cloud9: Oh, supper was a couple of pieces of leftover steak, and dill pickle chips!! YUM!!

I can't imagine anyony not liking you. You are wonderful.....but just in case, always remember you have you own fan club right here and we LOVE you!!! :grouphug: (and you could always play some horrible trick on her while on the cruise, nothing bad, just humbling, bring her down off that high horse she's sitting on. If your like me you'll think about it, but never do it....somehow that's enough for me!!) Besides, less time with her means more time w/your husband!

:yay:

I too am ready for the cruise, but consider the anticipation just part of the cruise experience. I'm much happier on this side of the cruise (after the cruise can be a little sad to me.)

Okay, I considered it over the weekend, and have "listened" to your advice. I still might change my mind, but right now I'm just going to stick with the category I have. I'm looking forward to time alone with DH. And the fresh air while napping sounds great. And I don't htink I've ever had breakfast alone with DH in that setting. How fun.

I figured we could do an excursion with the money, but wasn't convinced I'd rather do anything than just be with hubby. (Although he might like to snorkel!) I think if I went down a couple categories, I should just do it all the way and book a 12 gty...but I think with just 2 people in the room, I'd probably end up with a 12 and not get an upgrade. MY DH really likes natural light, I can't imagine placing him in an interior cabin. I like the odds of booking a 7 -- and I've got the room that used to be a cat 6, so it has a regular plexiglass rail.

Kelly, I need to slim down in general. Are you ready for a challenge? We have aproximately 15 weeks before our cruise...how 'bout 10 pounds between now and then? I'd say 14 pounds, but I want to make it realistic -- after all we're talking holidays here! DH started a diet this summer and has been SO good to stay on it and he's really looking good. I want to look better too!! Or maybe it's not a matter of weight, but more toning... we could challenge to walk/workout 3 times/week.

Wendy, you're family business sounds interesting. I'm extremely excited for you ... getting to create your own floor-plan and lay the foundation of your new house. FUN!

SUZI -- how's your mom?

Robin, I can't wait to meet you...can't beleive anyone wouldn't want to sail with you. I hope she was just having a bad day!

I don't drink alot, but a BAHAMA MAMA while laying on the beach sounds good right now... (What does this drink have in it?) 'cause drinking anything while on the beach sounds nice!

I have been trying to diet for about 2 weeks now. I put on about 10lbs at WDW, and I've lost about 6lbs of it. I really hope to lose about 14lbs before the cruise, but that may be a little too unrealistic.

I have got an excerise DVD too, which helped alot before my last cruise.

I think my biggest problem is going to be Christmas, and how to eat sensibly at parties etc.

Hopefully, I'm getting more focussed the nearer we get to it.

Wendy ~ I'm pleased you got to see Kayla, it sounds like you had a busy but fun day :thumbsup2

PLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSEEE!!!!!! I'll be lucky if I slim down enough to wear the clothes I wore late spring/early summer this year!! :rotfl2: For some reason, everything I eat right now tastes "Oh, soooo gooooood!!!" I'll try, but I don't have too much hope....I have no willpower. :guilty:

I want one :yay: They sound really neat! *BEWARE, BRAG TIME AHEAD* Mom is very talented in the music department. She plays the piano (since age 3 I think), viola, cello, and the harp (though she's fairly new with the harp)!
I love to hear her play, she use to play at different events with my grandfather. He was very talented with the violin. My grandfather worked for NASA, he had a terrible accident where they were launching a small rocket and it exploded taking his right hand (& halfway up to his elbow) off. Amazingly, he still continued playing the violin (he had a hook as a prostetic) and he even built some violins! He was very smart working on electronics, model planes, and violins...

Challenge accepted!! Walk/workout 3x week sounds great! Let's start today :thumbsup2 This should be interesting on my part! :rotfl:

You know I don't get it, CW started his diet (or as he likes to call it; lifestyle change) a little more than a month ago. He has lost 15 lbs. and it getting a two pack :rotfl2: . He contributes his new ab line to "The Bean"! It does seem to help if you can find your balance on that thing :lmao:

Some of my sisters and I have agreed to get on mom & dad about Christmas dinner this year! The food trays wrap around their kitchen counter! They cook sooo much (and ask each one of us to bring in a dish) that mom brings in leftovers the next work day and feeds alot of the employees here :sad2:

That's way too much food!

I'm up for a weightloss challenge. Of course I already do TKD one day and weapons another, so I'll modify mine to at least 4 days of exercise,.....but I'm gonna try my hardest to get in 5!! :thumbsup2
:yay: <look, it's me exercising!!
I'm off for now, I gotta order me some new pants. Hey, I gotta wear something besides sweats, pajama bottoms, and my tkd uniform while I lose these 10 lbs!! :teeth:

This is gonna sound gross but everytime CW & I get around something chocolate (my weakness), I tell him "Oh, you don't want that... it's made with dog poop" That is sooo sick but with all of the dogs we have, sometimes you step in it. That smell seems to stay in my mind so much!

I know I'm weird! Hey, but it works... when I think of it!
