I'm finally out of the wanting-a-baby part of my life! Don't get me wrong, they are cute, and I love holding them... I'm happy with the way things are now!!!

A question for all of you?

What does one buy for someone who is having their 8th child

Does that mother want something practical and useful, frivolous and cute, clothes, disposable diapers, something sentimental to keep

My son's girlfriend's mother is having her 8th child in a few weeks and I heard they were having a baby shower for her and that I was going to be invited.

Her oldest child will soon be 19 and the youngest is about 5-ish I'm guessing.

Any suggestions?

but out of respect for your friend who's willing to deal with 8 kids every day...she has to be practical...gift card, diapers, wipes....practical not frilly.

I just wanted to ask everyone to keep my mom in there thoughts and prayers. I just found out that she had to have a root canal and they couldn't finish it at the dentist's office so she has to see a specialest on the 18th . Which means that she will be in a lot of pain. Plus The preschool she runs starts next tuesday. Thank you so much

I have prayed for your mom. Be glad she's going to a specailist. Root canals can be a challenge for a dentist who may do 1 or 2 a week (but are competent to handle it). But they area breeze for the specialist who does 3 to 5 a day. Now that I've been to a specialist, I wouldn't let a dentist touch it...I'd ask for the drugs to kill the infection and go to someone with the equipment and expertise to do it well.

I had a few people stare at me (could just be cause I'm funny looking )

I did speak to one DISer while standing in the line for Soarin'. Actually I mainly spoke to his wife since he was on the phone. I noticed that SHE was wearing green Mickey heads and approached her first.

I think his screen name is SFLTtigger, or something similar to that.

No turkey legs for us. They smell really great but I'm not sure that I'd like the way they taste.

No Dole Whips either because when we went by there, it wasn't open yet.

So I guess another time for turkey legs and Dole Whips.
