We ate at the Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. We've eaten there once before too. The food was okay. I'm not a big fan of the bread they make their sandwiches out of though.

We also ate at the Crystal Palace, Pooh and Friends, Dinner Buffet. The food was really good at this buffet. Lots of different things, more exotic types of things. I can't say I was much impressed with the character wandering around. They pretty much ignored us, I guess because we were two adults with no children. Eeyore did stop and shake my hand though.

The last place we ate at was Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. We had the Canyon Skillet, which is an all you can eat skillet with various types of meats, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, baked beans and corn bread. The food was very good too.

All of these places we just walked up to the door and asked if we could come in. No problems getting a table at all. The longest wait was maybe 15 minutes.

For myself, I don't see the appeal of the Disney Restaurants. The food was good but I don't think any of the places that we have eaten at have that WOW factor that a lot of other people find. I enjoyed eating at the Disney places but I certainly can't ever see me obsessing over getting advanced seating like a lot of DISers seem to. Everyone is different I guess, that's why there are so many choices available. :thumbsup2

The only one of those I have eaten at is The Crystal Palace and I have to agree with you..The food was OK..but I was not impressed..Im not much of a buffet person...Just cant do the cost justice...and we got pooh , and all...but they always seem to come around when your getting your food :confused3 ..
I do really like some of the places at WDW ..but Im easy to please...If the server is nice and the food it alright...then Im happy...the entertainment is a plus...and I do enjoy it if the theming is good;)

Good Thursday to everyone.

It's a bit on the gloomy side around here today. I think it might rain later.

I've got a guy working on my kitchen, making a ton of noise and dirt and confusion BUT it's got to get worse before it gets better. :teeth:

Good morning All

Mandy, how is your DD doing? Paris....wow!!! I'm jealous. I'd love to go visit there!!

I can't complain though next week DH and I take off for our Alaska cruise!!

Betsy, we've eaten at a bunch of the disney restraunts. What are you looking for? Unfortunately, the Moderate priced one's aren't so great....just some atmosphere, where as the high priced one's you really do get great food and atmosphere. Check out the Disney dining boards. BTW make sure you let your resort know your celebrating a birthday and they will usually do something special!!

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend. Happy Cinco DeMayo (did I spell that right?)!! Anyway Happy Day!!

Chat more later :grouphug:

Hi everyone :wave2:

Sue, my DD had a fantastic time in Paris last week, with the highlight being Disneyland Paris last Thursday. They had the whole day there and she did all the big rides

Summer has finally come to the UK, for the last 3 days I've been out in the garden sunbathing ~ but typical, the weather is going back to rain and cool temperatures for the weekend ~ never mind

I hope you all have a lovely weekend

Mandy :)

Hi everyone!

Just want to introduce ourselves, the Grant Family, who just booked our first cruise for 1/7/2007 4 day cruise. We're very excited. It's a surprise to the kids. Especially our daugther who will turn 14 on the 8th! We also have a son (16). We've been wanting to do a cruise and finally decided yesterday to go for it. I"m hoping I get "hooked"! We've done WDW for the past 5 years every year and last year twice. Yup..we love WDW. I'm sure I learn everything I need to know from these posts. Time to read them all!
Have a great day!

Woohoo !! 8 Months To Go

What will be the weather be like on CC? Wondering if it'll be warm enough for swimming? I've read that its kinda cold?? Also, do they have a formal night on the 4 night?

thanks everyone
laurie

Our trip there this past Christmas was Great!

I think it was hi 80's, we were there 2 days before new years.

Most of our cruising is done in January.

Depending on what part of the world you come from, will determine your opinion of how warm it is for swimming.

For hardy northerners, it will probably feel great. The water might be a little bit chilly but not usually bad once you get used to it.

If you are hoping for tropically warm waters, you will likely be disappointed.

The air temperature is generally nice though.
