Doing the 10 month dance :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: party: party: party: party: party: party: :rockband: :rockband: :rockband: :rockband: :rockband:

I do know one thing I did wrong last cruise.... too many shoes!! I'm a shoe nut and I never thought I could overdo it, but I did! I wish the shoe fairy could have made them disappear when it came time for packing! pixiedust:

AND I had to buy a pretty pair of black heels for my black dress, I bought them in Jacksonville, FL the day before. Well, I grabbed the display shoe and the box that was marked size 7 (it had only one shoe in it)!

One shoe felt loose on the cruise but I made do that nite! Finally after wearing the shoe 3x and a year later, I found out it was a size 8 1/2 :sad2:

How dumb can u get?

:rotfl2: Sounds like something that I would do. Except that I like to try on BOTH shoes just to make sure they both feel comfortable. ;)

A few other suggestions of things to bring..... a highlighter to highlight the activities on the Navigator that you want to see or do. That way you don't forget the things you really wanted to do.

Sticky notes to leave messages for your cabinmates. It is amazing how easy it is to NOT cross paths with people on those ships. If you leave notes when you are leaving the cabin, someone comes back and knows where you were off to. That is IF you want someone to know where you are :smooth:

Another thing I like to bring from home is glow bracelets or necklaces for pirate night. If you've got kids or heck I'm just a big kid ;) they will really appreciate having them to feel festive on deck. You can usually buy them cheaply at the dollar stores.

Hmmm :scratchin if I think of anything else I will let you know.

I know exactly what you mean Betsy, I love to dress up each night (not too dressy, just a nice dress or skirt and top) as it's so nice to make the effort

My must haves are swimwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals, camera (I take tons of photos too, so big smiles please) and the everyday skirts, tops and t-shirts

Oh dear, I'd better calm down or I'll start packing at this rate :lmao: :lmao:

I'm not so sure that you guys will see me in a dress or a skirt.

That is so not my style.

That being said I have that 7 day Royal Caribbean cruise in November so maybe I will end up with something a little fancier for that cruise and then I can wear it on the TKer cruise.

Time will tell.

dh and I did RCCL in 2004 on 11 nt. It was wonderful. There was one formal nt and 3 what I would consider semi-formal the rest cruise casual. My hubby said his tux (rented through the cruise line) was more comfortable that the jacket and tie he brought for the other nights. We are jeans and t-shirts kind of people but I'm glad we bought the other stuff and dressed up. I could keep those clothes packed all the time and just call them our "cruise clothes".

I still want to know what happened at Shutters! They took a beautiful picture of me at CC with my snorkel gear on! :rolleyes2 My family saw it and so did DH! It was terrible! I went to look at it later and couldn't find it, someone had evidentally purchased it. (Someone not in my family, it would have surfaced as blackmail by now!) :rotfl2:

Great idea about the highlighter and post its, Robin!

I do look forward to dressing up! It's the only time I can get DH & DS to wear a suit and tie! :goodvibes

Mandy...I'm ready to pack too! My attic is too cold to bring down the suitcases! Guess it's a good thing! :p

Hey ..Do cell phones work on the ship???..Even if its just to call DH ..somewhere else on the ship?....That would be really convenient... ;)

Betsy... I'm heading home with a sickling! DD has a low fever.. I will call and see what I can find out, we were wondering the same since alot of us have Verizon!

Just in case, we have 2 way radios, I've heard of people on the ship using them and I think the DCL provides them for a fee.

TTFN! :grouphug:

I'm not sure if your cell phones will work or not.

I know that mine worked on deck while we were in Port Canaveral but if I went below to my cabin it didn't work, no service available.

Mine also did not work in Nassau.

I never tried to call someone else onboard the ship with mine.

Id say hat, sun glasses and sunscreen right off ....

If your like me I couldnt go without a camera...I am a BIG picture taker...So beware ;) ...I WILL get a picture of you.... :3dglasses

I just bought a pair of "crocs" (the beach ones)....I Know they are really ugly, but I cant believe how comfy they are.....Now I havent tried them without socks (too cold here for me) or outside...but they are very light weight...(6 oz.)..I tried them out on the treadmill and did a 20 mins.walk/jog.... So far Id say they did as good as my sneakers...But Ill have to see if they still feel good over time....befor I take them on vaca....If not Ill just wear them for gardening and yard stuff....

and you will want to find a nice dress or something dressy...That is what Im looking forward too...I dont get to dress up much here....

Im sure you will get more suggestions...from all the cruisers here....

Robin!...
Can you think of any other must haves for the cruise????....

AWH!!! I LOVE MY CROCS! They WILL be coming with me. I'm a CNA, and I'm running around the nursing home in them all night long, and my feet NEVER hurt anymore! They are right up there with my fav. pair of shoes!! I have two pair :) one pair green and the other white ( i have to wear white at work) Thank you so much for letting me in a few things i'll need!! :) :thumbsup2
