hurray for you cruisin! i am not one to wear a dress very often either. sisters, susan and ann are likely to be all gussied up, but i will be the one who is comfortable and wearing pants (jeans when i can get away w/it). i figure to bring a dress, but don't know if i will actually wear it. pirate night sounds fun.Cruisin said:Hello Susan Glad to see you over here.
As to your clothing question....
for normal daily wear, just wear what you are comfortable in. Shorts and tshirts are great or long pants with sweaters in case it is a bit chilly which it can be in January. It gets windy onboard, especially at sea, so it can be cool.
Dinners.... well, here opinions vary greatly and it is a topic that gets out of hand quite easily at times![]()
Here again I say wear what you feel comfortable in. No shorts are allowed in the dining room and it used to be no jeans either but they have relaxed that rule now.
There will be one night that is a little dressier than the others but not really formal. If you want to go all out and dress formally, you can but it is not necessary.
I personally am NOT a formal person and have yet to wear a dress on a cruise. I'm just not the dress type. I do try to dress nicely when I go to dinner though. I will admit that there has been an occasional night when I go to dinner in coloured jeans and a nice tshirt, especially pirate night when things are more casual to begin with.
It is your vacation, dress in a way that makes you comfortable. I am of the opinion that I'm there to enjoy MY meal at MY table with MY companions and what anybody else wears or doesn't wear really doesn't make an impression on me.
