7am EMH at Magic Kingdom

I will be at MK on this day. I will post our experiences.

I have two plans. One for getting to MK at 6:45am and one getting there at 7:30. I will share about whichever we do.

I am going to push for 6:45, but it is the morning after watching Illuminations and not sure I will be able to rally the troops before 6am.

Us too! I will also report back and hope my early birds will force us night owls out of the door in time. I planned a very easy day at AK the day before so we could hit the bed early and experience EMH at MK.

@TheFloatingBear don't worry... we (DS 13 and me) get our rests during afternoons. We are early birds... even on vacation, we get up around 6am... without alarm to wake us up. We get many rides done by noon and we exit for nice Table Service meal somewhere. And then rest up during afternoon at our resort... pool time, lounge, etc. We go then get another TS meal somewhere before we go to another park for the night.

We're pretty similar, @mousegear, except there are four of us, but we're usually dragging the night owl (DS12) around for a while in the morning! But he knows it's worth it, so he falls in line! We tend to do TS in the middle of the day too - I have found that is usually when we need it! This is a sister trip, so it will just be myself and my other early bird sister for the 7am EMH - really looking forward to it! I'll can't wait to hear how yours go!

I was looking through some of the pictures from last spring, and I have similar pictures from MK. Our picture actually look like it's night time since I think day light saving just happened while we were there and there's no one in the background.

Can EMH hour eligible (i.e. Shades of Green) guests get into MK through the TTC for a 7 am EMH? Or are the only people allowed in that early the ones who arrive on Disney buses?

1. Yes, but it won't be as easy as "normal."
2. No, but plan on it taking twice as long, so get there much earlier.
You may need to have proof of resort stay.

So for a 7:00am EMH MK morning what time do they let you on Main St with the current opening/castle morning show?

I went last year when the magic kingdom was opening at 7 and we got there really early by 6:30-6:45 and it was so worth it we got to do everything that we wanted and I absolutely adore MK in the mornings

@Robo
Could they walk from SOG to Poly and then take the resort monorail?
Wouldn't that be a lot faster?
Or is the resort monorail not running that early?

Sometimes the monorail is not running.
If it isn't running, there will be special buses dispatched to cover the routes.

But, the reality is, guests trying to get to MK AM EMH from SoG are in for some difficulty.
I'd add 45+ min. extra travel time, just in case.

A cab or other hired car to the Contemporary parking lot, then the 8-10 min. walk to the MK gates would not be a bad plan.

Related question - will I be able to be dropped off at contemporary? Do the guards at the guard shack question the driver?

Plan B: I decided to scratch that night at SOG and do a night at Port Orleans Riverside instead. Kids will enjoy the fun pool in the afternoon and then we'll ride an insanely early bus to MK the next morning. It's only money, right? :)

Won't be a problem.
Tell the guard what you're doing.

Thanks, Robo! Based on another thread (which was originally from something I heard on a podcast),I'm going to try to have the driver turn left just after the guard gates into the parking area at the median split, and let us off there. If that doesn't work, we'll go to the main area.

We will be at poly, just not sure the monorail will be running at 6:30, so this is backup. :)

Ps, love your maps. Aerial views are easier for my brain, given I don't have a lot of wdw history. I'm viewing them with easywdw's tactical photo path scenarios/guides to orient myself.

We are thinking about changing resorts to Poly, but the transportation thing is a bit of an X-factor! That's definitely a good option... I love the aerial maps too! It really helps one to get a sense of where thing are in relation to each other...
