7 month window support group!

I need the support group... and a math refresher class. I was thinking I was days away from being able to call to see if I can convert DVC-discounted cash rooms to points at Vero Beach next summer. Just logged into the member web site and did the "could have had a V-8" head slap when I saw the line on the home page that tells you what dates you can make bookings for. It's not until December that I can call. Doh!

Update from post #8: So, we got our 2BR-LV at BLT. We ended up with a lock-off. We are staying Monday through Friday and they had a dedicated for every night except Tuesday. We are waitlisted for the 2BR dedicated for those 5 nights, but we will be happy with the lock-off. There were no standard view 2BR's available.

Our family who will be traveling with us on that trip are very excited about staying at BLT for the first time!!

I need this support group! I can call in January for a 1 bedroom standard view request at BLT. Never stayed on the monorail circuit so we have our fingers crossed!

Congrats!!! We had a lock off and liked it! My kids actually fight over who gets the sofa bed when we stay in a lock off lol. I wonder if they are done all the remodeling of the studios. I hope you get a great lake view!!! I found a video of a "lake view" on youtube but it's actually overlooking the pool and marina at CR with lake in the background. I think it's a pretty cool view even though it's not totally "lake".

Mine was Tuesday, but I totally forgot about it until today, so called today. I wanted a BCV 2-bedroom for 8 nights the very end of May/beginning of June. Got it! She said she only had lock-offs available, but frankly I don't care one bit if it's a lock-off or a dedicated, so Stormalong Bay, here we come!

Ours was today. Called promptly at 9, didn't even get put on hold, and got exactly what we wanted - 2BR dedicated at BLT! Taking DS, DSIL, and the grandkids. They have never stayed on site - are they in for a treat or what?!

First trip onsite at BLT...awesome! That's definitely a treat! Congrats!!!

My window is on the 9th and normally I am on the phone at 9.After staying at all the different resorts the last few trips were not going to change from AKV 2BR SV this trip . Of coarse after 6 nights at AKV we are going on a DCL Dream for a 4 day.

My 7th month mark is in January. We are hoping to get BCV in August. I would like a 1 BR so hopefully that will be available. Our home resort is AKV and we haven't stayed there yet as a family so I am ok with not moving. However, we are going w/other family members who's home resort is SSR. They are also hoping to get BCV so we can all swim together.

Yes - the studios are done now. I just called this past week to add some room requests & DME to our spring break ressie & I asked the CM & he put me on hold while he checked on it.

Our 7 month window will be in January for August. Not sure yet where we're going tho... Had HOPED to visit Aulani & VGC but at this point the airfare is cost prohibitive for this year so may be returning to WDW again...in which case we'll likely shoot for BWV as that will be the only resort we haven't tried yet!!

Just a note, I called at the 7 month window for BCV late April/early May for 16 nights in a studio and got it all with no problem. I also booked 5 nights at BCV for 1 bedroom and no problem either. Just yesterday I added another night to the 1 bedroom at BCV (6 month window) and got it too.

I think I'm more nervous about next weekend when my 11 month window opens to book my BWV standard studio for 2 weeks during F&W. I always get nervous booking this reservation.

TODAY is our 7 month window. I tried to nab an AKL Value 1BR, but no luck. I'm on the waitlist, but I know how few of the value rooms there are. Oh, well, we'll just have to have a GREAT TIME in a standard 1BR, instead.

Needing support as well. I just made our first ever DVC reservation at AKV (2 SV studios), but I'm waiting for our 7 month window to book 2 studios at OKW. My parents will be joining us and they don't sleep in the same bed, haven't my whole life, so we *really* need the 2 queens at OKW. I don't want one of folks having to sleep on a sofa bed. Oh, and my mom hates AKL!

I'm also a little bummed out because the CM at MS told me that my 7 month window was January 25. Um, no, it's actually February 25.

So c'mon OKW!!

Well I only have to wait until this Monday. I am trying to get a 1 bedroom pool view at Aulani. My DS (18) is graduating from HS in June. It just seems like a perfect place to celebrate. My DH and I have been to Hawaii once and the kids never have been so they are very excited!

I called this morning exactly at 9 am and got just what we wanted at Aulani. Although I haven't really read of anyone having problems getting in at 7 months I feel better now that we are booked. Have to wait now until December 10th when I can make dining reservations.

I called first thing on Nov 2 and got a week stay 2 bedroom villa at BCV for early June!!!!

Now I have my fingers crossed I can get 2 bedroom for 4 nights at VB second week in June. My phone is reminding me daily that I need to be coherent andn on the phone to Florida at 6am this Wednesday.

Don't give up hope! I was waitlisted for a value 2 bedroom for Dec and got it!

I waitlisted for a value studio for a 4 night stay in September, and it came through. So, I agree, don't give up hope! I had booked a value 2 bedroom at 11 months, but DSis wanted to bring another friend, and the best I could do at 7 months was a standard view studio, but I wanted us to be near each other. The waitlist came through about 3 months before the trip.

Called this morning right at 6am and had no problem getting a dedicated 2 bedroom villa for second week in June for Vero Beach. Really looking forward to relaxing after a hectic week at WDW with 5 first-timers.
