We are staying the week before at the GCV and didnt have any issues with booking for the entire week. We actually got a 2 bedroom dedicated for the 6-15, and a studio for that final night of the 15th. Could you move your plans up a week? The further along into the summer the more harder it will be to book an entire week there.

I cannot travel a week earlier than planned. I'm a school teacher and have to work until at least June 13. Maybe all the way to June 15 if we have any snow days this year. The points go up near the end of June so I'm hoping that discourages some from booking. Only time will tell.

Well the 7 month window didnt work out for me. I was so afraid it wouldn't. I was only able to get 4 of the 7 nights I need at VGC.

I just got a 1 bedroom at Beach Club June 22-June 29!!! First try making a 7 month reservation and I got it with no problem!! I am stoked. Going to try to add some days on to it.

My 7 month booking window doesn't get here until July 2012!!!!!!

It seems so far away...hoping to get conciege level studio at Animal Kingdom. DH wants to take our DS on the morning safari they offer (here's to hoping they still offer it in February 2013).

You're not alone...I had to make a ticker to count down to when I could make a legit ticker at our 7 mo. window in January!! I have 2 months, 3 weeks to go until my window opens!!

Well, "THE PLAN" is to (hopefully) book a studio at VGC for 3 nights then "something" at Aulani (studio or 1 bedroom - view & type TBD by availability) for 5 nights before we hop over to Maui for 5 nights. Of course it's all just on paper right now....sigh. I am trying to be as flexible as I can with unit type & view since I know both resorts will have limited availability and I have mapped out like 10 or 12 different scenarios of what we can "afford" without having to borrow any points...one likely scenario would put us borrowing 18 pts. depending on what shakes out at Aulani... So we anxiously await now....

(We just stayed in a Boardwalk view studio at BWV this past August.)

We are hoping to get 6 nights at VGC for June in a 1-bedroom, if not then a Studio. I would love to go the first week of June (right after the kids get out of school) but if not, then any week in June would be fine. This will be our first DLR stay. I have to wait until November before I can hopefully book it. I have a couple more weeks, however I am feeling a bit nervous about it because I heard that the villas there are hard to come by especially around the 7 month mark. I'm keeping my fingers crossed .

This will also be the first time we've visited during a holiday which doesn't help matters. I have major doubts that I'll get it...but a girl can dream!

I am waiting for January 15th for my 7 month window to book 8 nights at Aulani in a studio - our whole vacation is based around a visit to Aulani, although I have already been able to book everything else (flights from the UK, hotels in San Francisco, Waikiki, LA and Disneyland) - so have invested a lot of money into this trip already - so truly hoping we will be able to get our Aulani dream!

One week until my window opens for Aulani -- every morning I check and it seems like the days are filling up as soon as they hit the 7 month mark. I thought maybe I'd try and walk a reservation. I've never done that before but I'm that nervous about getting the dates I want, but I haven't been able to get the first day. Maybe I'll get up really early tomorrow (or try at midnight tonight). DH and I have been saying we'd return to Hawaii every 5 years since our honeymoon, but in 19 years we haven't been back yet. Since next year marks our 20th anniversary, and our son's graduation, we really want this to work out. Fingers crossed!

If I was looking for next week, I would definitely walk. From reading recent posts on here about late June/early July, people seem to be under the impression that that is exactly what lots of people are doing at the moment - it's a pain, but I say- if you can't beat them, join them!

I was waiting for my 7th month window at Grand Californian in July. I have decided that I absolutely have to be in Disneyland for the 60th anniversary or I may spontaneously combust!

I must admit though that I recently cracked under pressure & rented points from a GC owner, so I could get in a month earlier. It kind of feels like I cheated on a test or something, but it's so nice not to stress about it 24/7 anymore.
