7 month window support group!

we got our 2 bedroom at gcv for the 9th-15th, now just have to call back on the 15th for a studio that final night. We only had enough points for the 2 bedroom for these days and since my parents are leaving the friday we are going to try and switch down to a studio for that final night, we have just enough points to cover that studio stay on friday night...now the countdown begins for my next call in, 6 days and counting....

I'm booked at Kidani for 6/25-7/6, but I am PRAYING I can get Beach Club instead. I am dying to stay there. I do love Kidani, and would have no problem staying there, but I would really like to try Beach Club. I am thinking about calling a couple days early and trying to get an earlier reservation just cause I can't wait 16 days lol. I have prepared myself that there is a good chance I'm not going to get it, but I'm still praying. I think my second choice will be Boardwalk, not sure what 3rd choice is yet.

I don't know?? This is only my second DVC reservation I'm trying to make. We just got back from 7 nights at Kidani last week....I'm thinking I just want to take what I can get ....I have a little flexibility with vacation dates.

I'd call jcpenney move the appointment back. It would make me too nervous being rushed to make a DVC reservation.

We have an iCal reminder set up for the 7 month mark on February 15th for Aulani. I find myself double checking it to be sure I've got it set up correctly. We hoping for a Pool View studio. But the kicker is we already booked an NCL cruise beginning the week before we want to check in at Aulani. So if we don't get the villa then we'll have to move the cruise too. Anxiety sets in just thinking about it.

That's awesome!! I wish I could go for those dates too since it's my birthday, but there's no guarantee we'll be done the school year.. UGH I hate make up snow days!

TODAY is our 7 month window. I tried to nab an AKL Value 1BR, but no luck. I'm on the waitlist, but I know how few of the value rooms there are. Oh, well, we'll just have to have a GREAT TIME in a standard 1BR, instead.

new owner here with a question. if you want to stay on site a certain sate, but not at your home resort. is it possible to make reservations at your home resort, then at 7 months if they have what you really want, cancel your original reservation and use the points for what you really want?

Absolutely! That's what I have always done and I'm pretty sure that what about everyone else does, as well.

So this morning I realize instead of 7 days at BCV like we were hoping to get we have enough points for 8 days at SSR. We have never stayed at BCV so we don't know what to expect. But we know we LOVE SSR so now I'm so confused!!! 6 nights vs. 7 nights..UGH

A good friend just returned from BCV and he said the transportation was awful. But is that a deal breaker? How wonderful is Stormalong Bay? Can you swim late at night???

I haven't stayed at BCV, but I have stayed at Yacht Club and Beach Club before I bought BWV. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the area, being able to walk to Epcot and DHS is so amazing! And being able to stroll around the lake in the evenings also amazing. Stormalong Bay is fantastic, but it generally closes earlier than most pools. Depending on the time of year it is open into the evenings, but not usually late, like after the parks close. I can't speak to transportation anymore, since they split the bus route off from BWV. But I have no problems with bus transportation at BWV and they share with the S/D.
