7 day Western - May 7, 2005???

Bump for new member

I'm a new member!

We just returned from the 9/27 Wonder cruise -- the one that was shortened by Jeanne into a 3-nighter.

We felt like we missed a large part of the cruise, not just meaning the day, but we didn't go to Castaway Cay, no sailaway party, no greeting, we didn't board at the Disney Terminal, etc.

So we're doing it again!

Kris

Hi Zeke11:wave2:
Welcome to the post for the May 7, 2005 Western Cruise. If I can help with any questions or if you have any, please feel free to post.

Zeke11- Hi and welcome:wave2:
You definitely have to experience sailing away from the Disney Terminal, the sailaway party (sooo much fun!), and Castaway Cay::yes::

Hi Kris!!! It'll be our first trip, so we obviously can't wait to see the Disney terminal and CC and experience the sailaway party:bounce:

Hi bratray and Welcome! I'm sure we'll get more people posting as we get closer to the cruise.

This is our first cruise too and will be traveling with DH and DD's (12 & 10) I can't wait!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

hello

just wondering if anyone has any little ones between the ages of 5 and 7? my DS5 will be almost 6 when we sail- thought it would be nice to let him know before hand that there will be other little friends his age to play with..although i'm sure there will be tons of kids on board

:wave2:

Hi Brayti:wave2:
Sorry we are going kidless this time for our 25th anniversary. My DD's are a little older anyway.. I am sure that there will be plenty of children within that age range though.
James

Sorry, but mine are a little older too. My youngest will be 10 in February and my oldest is 12, but like you said, I'm sure there will be plenty of kids for him to play with.

bump

Don't want this to get lost since we're almost at the UNDER 200 days mark :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Want to say "Hi" - you sound like a wonderful group already!

We have just booked this date for a family cruise to celebrate a couple of birthdays, my parents 45th anniversary and of course Mother's day. There will be 5 adults and three children (boys 8,11 & 15).

The 15yo is concerned there will not be any other teenagers around. He is quite shy and not real good at meeting new people. Any suggestions to help ease his fears?

Since this is our first Disney cruise we have no idea what to expect, but that's part of the fun - right?

We look forward to meeting everyone real soon!

Ben

Hi Ben and Welcome!!!

This will be our first cruise also, so I know what you mean. I'm lucky since my DD's will be 10 & 12, so they can be in the same club together. Wish I could help you with your son and his fears about meeting new kids. My girls are pretty social (must get that from my DH ;) ). Does he play sports or in any clubs? Sometimes that helps finding other kids with the same interests.

I just hope we get placed at a table with another family. It would be great for my DD's to have other kids to chat with while eating instead of fighting with each other

Hi!

Here's the lowdown on my gang -

18, 17 and 13yo girls
9yo boy

We cruised in September and my girls did not go to the teen club at all. They are not outgoing and so just wanted to hang out at the pool or go to a movie, etc.

My son went to the Oceaneer's Lab a couple of times, but hated the graduation ceremony. He was totally embarrassed!!

Hi Kris...

Maybe my 12 year old and your 13 year old can hook up. She'll be short of 13 by 4 months. Not sure how much my girls will like the clubs, but I figure they'll check them out.

Hi Teresa -

Good idea! I think the club can be a bit overwhelming to some kids. Mine took a peek inside and backed out! Maybe too many kids to meet at once is difficult.

Hi Bob:wave2:
Welcome to the post group.. It seems like we are going to have a great group for the cruise in May..

James - Who's Bob??

Kris - I bet it is pretty freaky for some kids. I'm sure mine will want to go in and check things out and then who knows. Not like we're working on a schedule. I intend to do some drinking and LOTS of relaxing :sunny:

Sorry I must have 5 things going on at the same time..
I meant Ben and Kris..
