7 day Western - May 7, 2005???

hi

anyone coming in the day before the cruise?

we decided to come in a day early and stay at the best western ocean front- my DH is an avid fisherman & this hotel is only a block away from the cocoa beach pier- he will be able to fish and is pretty happy:smooth:

still counting the loooong days

bratray - We're coming in a day early too, since we're coming so far, but I'm not sure where we're staying yet. DH is trying to get enough points for a free night at the Holiday Inn, but I won't hold my breath:earseek:

JUST UNDER 200 DAYS TILL WE LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Well jrp, thanks for the notice on this thread and the invite to say hi to all the other folks who are on the same cruise!

This will be the 2nd cruise for my hubby and I! We are SO looking forward to it! We enjoyed our first cruise so much.

We have no kids, so we will be in the 2nd seating and on Deck 6.

Still toiling with what excurions to book and who to book them with. We're probably not going to do an excursion in Key West - just ship (oh how my hubby loves that said very sarcastically!!!) and enjoy the vacation. We'll see - planning - planning - planning!
And BINGO on the ship is a must!!!!!

We'll be arriving on May 6 and staying at Ron Jon's. We stayed at The Radisson which wasn't bad, but I heard better things about Ron Jon's. We are renting a car for the day and bringing it back before we sail and then getting another for the day of 5/14 since we have to leave to the ship by 9AM and our flight is not until 8:30PM that evening! So, we will either play at Disney's Marketplace for the day or head over to the Magic Kingdom. We have done WDW for 15 yrs and next year will be the first year that we aren't going to go. The cruise was SO much fun that going to WDW after was anti-climactic. So, we decided it's time to take a break from WDW. I don't know if I can stand it!:sunny:

Welcome Lilo62! I can't believe we're finally under 200 days!!!!

I know! I think I need to fix my counter though - I don't want it to be more days than it already is!

I have mine for May 6th since that's the day we leave and our vacation starts! :sunny:

Hi all:grouphug:
Glad to see you made it to the group! My DW and I also are going on the cruise without the kids.. 25th Anniversary:love: We are only getting off the boat in Key West to go to the Harley shop and to get rum cakes:tongue: . You will like everyone on this site. We live close by (Well on the West coast) and don't know if we will stay the night before over there or not..See ya later.. Let us know of any questions. James

Thanks for the bump jrp!

Hi Tera. I think we chatted once before. We're booked in 2122 & 2124 -- if we don't get upgraded -- ha, ha!! :p

Hi Everyone!
We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary and are traveling with my parents and our DD's, age 3 and 7. I grew up in Key West, which is one reason why we picked the Western, so needless to say we won't be doing anything there but visiting family and friends. But I do love that city!! We're flying in the night before because we're traveling from Seattle. I've always wanted to stay at the Hyatt, so that's where we'll be the night before. We're also staying one night in Cocoa at the end of our trip (to see more family) and we're booked at the Radisson. The only way I can handle the wait is these boards and the Passporter -- but everyone else thinks I'm obsessive -- so I know I'm in good company with you guys!!! ;)

Hi LostGirls - I remember chatting early on. You guys are just on the other side of us. Sounds like we have a pretty good group going so far:bounce:

Hi Lilo62:wave2:

Hi LostGirls:wave: I have a dd who is also 7. I've been to KW many times and I also own a week at The Galleon so I won't be doing any tours.

:thewave: :thewave:

Hi all! I can't believe it's now less than 200 days till our trip. I may add that I'm not quite as enthusiastic as my dh "jrp".. He's now has turned into a compulsive DIS'ers!

And since he's retired, is now attached either to his Harley or the computer --at a Disney sites... or now EBAY surfing for PINS or something!

And... if he makes one more door sign........

I believe he's in his 2nd childhood! IS THERE ANY HOPE, except for the time to speed up?

:jumping1:

Hi D.Anne and Welcome!

Your husband is no more obsessive than the rest of us :earseek: Better be careful or you'll become an compulsive DISer too:crazy:

It's amazing how quickly the time has gone by so far since making our reservations in April. Before we know it, we'll be down to under a hundred days. I'll probably have my bags packed by then:hyper:

And as for those door signs... the rate he's going, he'll have one for each family on the ship:hyper:

Great idea James, but then your wife will kill me for suggesting it to you :hyper:

hello

does anyone have room assiginments yet?

we are in an ocean view, room #2128
second seating

if i catch my DH in a good mood he actually enjoys talking about the cruise- but normally he says i am way to obsessive:rolleyes:

even DS5 told me last nite when we watched the DCL video for the 3 rd time that "mom you are acting funny, are you too excited again?" all i could do was laugh:teeth:

to me the fun is in the planning and the anticipation of my vacations:wave2:

My DW and I are in 5132 with 2nd seating..

Hi dap:wave2:
Maybe you would like it. It might help to pay for all those pins:teeth:

I think I am in 6549. One deck up from the kids club. I had a Cat 9 porthole room last time. This time a Cat 11. But, I'd rather be on the ship without a window instead of sitting at home :D Besides, I sleep really well in a totally dark, windowless room. I got to try that out when my house was boarded up for the hurricane.

DD and I are at the first seating. DCL really does a good job matching you with people at your dinner table. Last time my mom went with and we sat with another party that was a girl my daughter's age, a single mom like me, and her mother.

We're in cabin 2108 and have first seating. I hope we have some kind of a family at dinner, not necessarily two DD's like ours, but any kids. My girls get along with pretty much any age group, especially the younger ones.

The Travel Channel had the DCL on again and my DH was the only one that made a comment about seeing it for the millionth time. My girls didn't mind:D
