To all those that did the Med cruise remember we had lanyards done ???? Well how do folks feel about getting something done for this trip as well.

I thought if we wanted something different to lanyards (as we've all probably got 100's of them already) how about silicon/gel braclets ?? I know alot of the kids and men prefer to wear and already do wear those kind of bracelets so it might me quite fun

WOW !!!! looks as if these Baltic cruises are more popular than even the TAs predicted.

We've got a cat 4 room but I asked our TA if she could move us aft a bit and this is the reply I got from her

"Hi Isabel,

From what I understand, these 12 night cruises are extremely popular and
booked up very quickly. It's likely that we may not be able to get you
moved after all, as I did not realize the popularity of this particular
sailing at first.

Send me a reminder on Saturday and I will check if there are any openings
then.

Have a Disney day!"

I just took a look - it looks like there is good availability on the ship - except for category 4. Not only is there good availability (category 11 is still showing cabin numbers, not GTY), but pricing is still at the low end of the range (at least for category 11) - possibly still tier 1 pricing.

So while it may be filling up quickly (and certainly is at category 4), thankfully it isn't the same mayhem as the canal crossing.

I think it probably varies from category to category. I only looked at 11. I can't really compare mine yet - it was a phone reservation and I don't have the hardcopy yet and foolishly didn't write down the reservation number.

Pricing it out, cat 5 still comes out at the low end of the rate range that they list. So there's definitely room for prices to go up.

One thing - it definitely looks like the differences in pricing between categories is less than I've seen before. that might be one reason the catagory 4's went so quickly.

Another reason - I seem to recall on past cruises it was often cheaper to get two category 11 rooms (2 people each) than a category 4 with 4 people. I can't really price the 4's (since they aren't available at the moment), but it looks like it's cheaper to get a 4.

But you know, between fuel supplements, and insurance, it's hard to figure out what's going on. Maybe people figure it's so far away, if you're going to spend a fortune to cruise, you might as well get the best cabin available?

cruisin'Mike--I just noticed we're going to be sailing with you on the 12/5/09 cruise to St. Croix too. I haven't been on that thread in a long time, is it busy? Our Aug 2008 cruise meets was very active and I'm trying to keep up with our Wonder trip cruise meet for Dec 7 2008 as well.

Since you are driving to the port, just go to Boots and buy 3 or 4 of everything that you would think all of us from across the pond would forget and store it in your cabin. That way if we all forget something we know exactly where to go to get it.

What about luggage tags? We could all use new ones the way airlines go about breaking them these days. Plus they are good to put on your day bag that you take into port.

The 12/5/09 cruise was the one that the rebooking agent used as a "dummy" date, knowing that we were going to move it forward. A ton of us on our last cruise rebooked with the hopes of going somewhere great. That's why it's "the cruise your heart desires most". Once we get a logo for this cruise, I'll be switching it out.

Sounds like you have some great cruises between now and the Baltics!

I would send her the reminder this evening since TA's hold expire today. Our TA gave us until today to pay our deposit.

Keeping our fingers crossed she can get us the 50% deposit. She has a long list of cabins that she booked and she's going to plead with them for the reduced deposit. If not that's fine too but it would be nice to have the smaller deposit go on the card.
