We're watching Ice Road Truckers on The History channel.....anyone seen this program ? it's facinating, these men are mad. It's all about the men that driver those really, really, REALLY heavy lorries over the frozen arctic sea, North of the arctic circle
DH loves that show. I can take it or leave it, a couple of the driver's on there drive me bonkers.

I think most of them are really quite bizarre but I don't like the fithly language they use, at least it's bleeped out for the telly

Oh my....are we going to be fighting over dark chocolate?!? :dance3:

I am really looking forward to picking up more chocolate in every port. I liked it all, except I wasn't crazy about the Russian chocolate. The bars we got are like Aero bars which I don't like.

The best place to buy chocolate was in Tallinn. The one candy company parked their huge trailer at the port and you just walked up to the windows and bought all kinds of chocolates.

That sounds GREAT -- I was reading that the prices are generally reasonable in Tallinn -- is that true for the chocolates as well?

Hey I didnt say they missed me, I just got a call saying hit your targets! Or that cruise will be gone! (Well 2009 is paid up!)

So hit the darn targets, Andrew!:thumbsup2

all by myself, I really am all byself, yet again

YOu forgot to include the :rolleyes1 when you broke into song.....all together now....:rolleyes1 All By Myself......

Yea that's EXACTLY what I meant Philadelphia cheese team :rotfl2:

Asked and Andwered by isn't that Philadelphia CREAM cheese? :confused3

Hi Mike - thanks, I would love that also
Maybe we can have another meet in our area sometime that we can both make it to. I love the picture you are working on for the signature

It is official I have moved our 2009 booking to this date for now. Haven't told DH yet :rotfl:

HOORAY - I know I met you once but I would another face to face with you. Well talk then.

OK - I am just out of the shower, my heads in a towel and I'm hungry but have got to leave for Torrance in about 45 minutes. I just LOVE  away games that are about 20 miles away! That means with traffic - it'll take about 1 hr. YIKES - got to get moving and here I am on the boards catching up. :sad2: No hope for me - I have been bitten by the Baltic Bug.

On a side note - and for those that know me, I did manage to cook my family a home-cooked meal and it was all eaten in the same night! Yay for me! :cheer2:

Yes - for some  reason - I can't seem to get off these boards and this is just the beginning. But in all fairness, I did get to be a bit early last night - I went to be at 1:15 am. :scared1: The insomnia only lasted about 40 minutes so I still got to bed about 1 hr earlier. I am a bit refreshed.

I hope the sleep fairy hits you soon! Many pleasant dreams. And we shall see if I can get back on track. Usually the weekends mess me up again but DD has a volleyball tournament to go to on Saturday so its an early night for me.

Now on to see if my updates on my signature line worked. They were all large and distorted. Lets see...

What the heck is going on the the DIS? I've been noticing all kinds of weird happenings - like my signature line got all big. I was messing with it to fix it but its not taking any of my instructions and its still big. OH well, maybe I'll wait until later - it may be internal (Hey - I can hope right)

Good evening everyone! I was just looking at the main cruise site which i never have time to do. I was reading the two threads about how expensive Disney cruises are now. One thread is entitled
Is Disney smaoking crack or what...:rotfl:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1975830
and teh other is
LOYAL DCL'ers...ARE PRICES STOPPING YOU???

I must say, I didn't realize that a comparable Cruise to Europe on a different line is (from what is posted) 50% less than a Disney cruise???? Wow- I figured maybe it was about 25-30% more , but 50% does seem like a lot more I think.
Now, as with all of us Disney crazies, I too feel there is nothing like the Magic- ambiance, kids club, entertainment- etc., but I really didnt realize it was that much more.
Am I only one who didnt think there was that much of a difference? Probably- I know I live in a bubble!:upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow

Yes, they are that much cheaper and even a little more. We had a spa suite this past summer on Carnival and it was $2000. cheaper for the 3 of us, we are in a cat. 7 for this cruise. Now the suites on Carnival don't get any extra perks and the cabin was a bit larger than a cat. 5-10. We did have a dressing room outside the bathroom and a whirlpool tub, instead of just a shower like the regular cabins on Carnival. But we, ok I, wanted that cabin and DH said ok. I think the verandahs are about the same size. We could have gone with a spa cabin with a verandah and saved about $2000. or gone with a regular verandah cabin and saved about $3000. But in the end it was worth the extra cost for the bit of extra space and spa access to the therapy pool and saunas. We could have gone with an inside cabin for about $3600. for the 3 of us, but there was no way I was staying in a cabin that size with 2 other people and the small bathroom.

The other cruise lines are about 20-30% lower then Disney depending on which cruise line you are looking at. This is of course looking at 2009 prices as the other cruise lines have not released their 2010 rates as of yet

Hi Laura, yes we met at the sail away party, I did see you around the ship a couple of times but we were on opposite sides and didn't get a chance to talk again :flower3:

That is what I thought, but there are several posts with quotes sited, saying it is 50% more. I can truly understand 20- 30%- as I posted before, our Med cruise was unbelievable- we had the time of our lives, and I am paying for the "pixie dust" that only can be found in Disney- but I was a little taken a back with the 50% thing!!! Thanks!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
