We're getting ready for a blizzard here on Long Island with 10-14" of snow in the forcast. Good luck to all travelling in or out of NY for Christmas.

:cold: Good Morning All :cold:

Expecting big Northeaster here tonight between 10 & 24 inches of snow!
Sorry about the windshield Andrew now we can truly say you are cracked!:lmao::rotfl:;)

Good one Robert. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

We have about 10 inches on the ground and it's not supposed to stop until tomorrow morning. :headache: Have I even mentioned how much I HATE snow?!? :confused3  It started just before 1am, yes I was up to watch it start.

Good luck Barb. We're getting ready for 12+ and blizzard conditions. You are allowed to say it again:

I hate snow!!!!!!

The only good thing about this snow is that it's very powdery, but that also means it will be drifting.
DH said the roads were a mess when he was coming home, so when he goes to work tonight I'm sure they will be horrible. My brother went to the mall this morning to finish his Christmas shopping - he's hoping no one will be at the mall since the roads are so bad.

I hope the mall stores were opened! They say the snow will be wet and heavy. Hopefully they are wrong and it will be powdery - although that's more slippery, it's easier to snowblow and shovel.

Here's wishing everyone stays safe.

We have close to 18 inches here with no let up in sight. It's snowing so hard we can barely see the neighbors houses. I've heard we can get up to an additional 18 inches overnight, along with thunder. :scared1:

At least the forecast has us reaching a positively balmy 3 tomorrow in Reading! Hoping it all thaws by Wednesday when we're going to BIL just outside Hastings. It can then snow to give a lovely white xmas & go away again by the Monday when we come back! THe ice is awful & after my slide home from the shops yesterday my knee is objecting in no uncertain terms! Last day in the office tomorrow as I'm working at home Tuesday morning before we have the office children's trip to the pantomime. This year it is Cinderella & the budget has been pushed out with Rula Lenska as the fairy!

Hope everyone stays safe during these challenging weather times (not sure 70 counts as challenging though!)

Celestine

There is always a show off, :):goodvibes

Freezing here wont get much over '0' all day so the snow is ice, which I find harder than snow!!

Stay safe....

Whine Whine Whine:lmao: You two are absolutely hilariouse! 0 for you is 32 for us so 3 is above freezing like 40!:headache:

When we were in single numbers last week or teens to twenties now that is below 0 for you two!:sad2:

Toughen up! We have well over a 18 inches of snow (& it is still snowing) & it is about 24 out in Balmy MA!:dance3::rolleyes1

you and your 18 inches always bragging.. ;)

I'm north east of Philadelphia and we "only" got about 14"- we finally get to make use of the snow blower that's been lanquishing in the garage for many winters! (or should I say my husband gets to make use of it- I'm not venturing outside until I have to go to work tomorrow)

To ignore the snow (which I hate) outside my window and which is now blindingly bright as the sun finally came out, I'm searching on line for a hotel to stay at the night before the ship leaves. Much more fun than freezing outside.

Whom ever is affected by the "Blizzard of '09" I hope you're warm and safe inside!

Good luck to all our "frozen" friends. We got about a foot of snow but the roads are clear and school will probably be opened tomorrow. Hope everyone is able to travel safely.

I'm glad you said something about the 0 and 3 degrees as I was thinking the same thing, that was above freezing.

Your weather today sounds like our's yesterday.
We ended up with about 19 inches of snow and today it's 32 degrees. :scared1:

The schools around here that were supposed to be open tomorrow are now closed, they posted that online last night. DD was lucky since she's already off for the next 2 weeks. At least that's 2 or 3 days she won't have to make up at the end of the year.
