Hi again,
Do they have places to store your luggage on the tube or coach? We will probably have several pieces of luggage with us and although our DD is a good traveller, we can't always count on her pulling her own bags.
Also, does anyone know if we were to take a cab would we need a booster seat for her since she is only 6?
Thanks,
Monica
Not sure if Andrew has answered so I'll answer anyway (I'm on a ketchup day...again!). No booster seat required in a black cab, although seatbelts are compulsory. Booster seats are required if you are shorter than 135cm. Public transport, including black cabs & coaches are excluded, however everyone, no matter where you sit must wear seatbelts.
Luggage storage on the tube is non existant, so keep it close & trip up a few commuters!
On mainline trains there is a luggage storage area at the ends of each carriage, but unsurprisingly these get very full. THere is usually overhead storage if you have small bags.
On a coach, they will put all your stuff in "trunks" under the coach so you just keep your hand luggage with you & are given your checked baggage back at your destination.
Black cabs have no "trunks" so if you have a large amount of luggage and 3 or 4 people you WILL need at least 2 cabs!
