I really don't want to have to carry a booster seat anywhere on this trip but would like to be able to take a cab if we need to or would like to.

Of course if I posted this on the main board I would get flamed but all three of my girls came home from the hospital in a taxi with no car seat! (We live in Manhattan.) It's just not as though you go fast enough inside a major city like NYC or London to have a huge accident . . . of course I would encourage your daughter to use a seat belt but I wouldn't worry at all about a booster.

One more thing, if you are getting too stressed about the luggage and whether you would have to get a taxi from the tube, you could pre-book a car service from the airport to your hotel. Certainly it would be more than using the tube, but less (generally) than hailing a black cab at the airport, and you would get door-to-door service. I know Celestine has some she recommends. Even though I am extremely familiar with the tube I'm not sure I want to deal with the luggage for me and all three girls when we arrive a bit jet-lagged, and may pre-book a car service for that reason.

Julie I can't believe you took them home in cabs. Yes, you would cause huge flames on the main board.
The scariest part about riding in a cab over there is that you tend to forget they drive on the wrong side of the road. Can't tell you how many times I've looked away when I saw a car turning the wrong way....well at least I thought it was turning the wrong way.

I just looked the other day and saw plenty of availability . . . it didn't even seem the price of the cruise had gone up much

Now that I saw the tabs I see there's plenty of availability. But I was checking to see if any cat. 4's had opened up and they are now available as a GTY again. They keep coming and going. But I did notice that it had gone up over $2000 from when I booked my friends cabin in March. Our cat. 7 has gone us as well from original booking, but I think it's about the same price as when I rebooked it onboard to get the discount and OBC.

Been a couple of crazy weeks and I am trying to keep up, but just not working at the moment

Can't believe Kara's first qtr in college is almost done - she is out 11/23 - she can register for next quarter next week

Real glad at the moment she isn't doing the marching band thing - last 3 weekends have been cold and rainy - never did like sitting in my stadium chair for hours outside in bad weather

She has been chatting with friends still in band and they are not having a good year with scoring and such - she feels bad for them - since they had great years the 4 yrs she was performing

On our last cruise, we had a meet the next day ( sea day) in Studio Sea. It worked out great. Everyone got to meet and exchange a gift from their home town with another family. Maybe we can see about doing something like this?

I am going to DL on Wednesday with my girlfriend, no kids! We want to enjoy the Halloween decorations and hopefully I can talk her into going on Space Mountain to see what they did with that this season!
