I do LOVE Pikey and PJ.......I'll take either........:dance3:

PJ is very professional excellent at his job, imho Marco, isn't up to PJ's very high standards.

I really liked Ian from the UK, one of the assistant cruise directors, Pikey again I didn't hit it off with.

I also sailed with Ian (I think once they were both on together) I just met Marco in Palo on the Wonder last year and it went well. I think we kidded around about being cousins (you know, us, Italians are all related) which was sweet. Of course, PJ does an impeccable job. Pikey was very helpful and actually gave us a few clues about 2010. He didn't confirm it and it was just speculation but he apparently is from around Dover and that's where we're sailing from next summer.

I think I read somewhere that Pikey will be on the Wonder this summer so no worries.....

Baby steps JoAnn, it's taken us 7 cruises to go to brunch. :rotfl2:

If it wasn't for the DISboards, I wouldn't even know there was a brunch. I think my first brunch was the one that Andrew organized on the Med. It was fantastic!

YOU MUST DO THE DINNER........even if you can't book it ahead, you can go as soon as you board and there are always more times open....jump in with both feet!

The 90 day mark for my summer cruise is May 31 -- so I paid off the cruise yesterday!:cool1:
Good luck, although but now, done it, seen it, not so worried about missing it!

PJ is an excellent top resaurant host, Pikey is a bit hit and mis he likes some people, and seems to go into formal mode with others, first time I met him he had a moan, when we hadnt doen anything so maybe thats why he isnt on my Christmas card list, presume a lot of the UK staff will love coming to Dover and have family accross.

We have a 'dress up' night pic with Ian in it and Captain Henry laughed when we saw the pic, that was from 2 years ago. Ian is not a subject that we discuss much since DD is MOST upset that he left DCL and she won't get a chance to see him on the cruises again, she really liked him a lot. We sailed with him on many cruises and he remembered us each time. I heard he's on another cruise line but can't remember which one.

Andrew thanks for posting that pic, it reminds me that I will need to pack brunch clothes for us.

I love the shower curtains in the rooms.
We had a concierge room with a CA adventure view of Grizzly Peak after our return from Australia one year. We really liked the hotel just wish we were there longer than 1 night.
I just finished my shower with Bambi, Thumper and Friend Owl!
It's off to hear Alana and the band play, then into the parks!

Ian had work to do with the BBC, he was to be in a film, he told me the dates for transmission but I never saw it, In the UK, we have an actor / joker Bradley Walsh and Ian reminds me of a younger version of Bradley.

Now, ( no body take this the wrong way) I am really looking forward to Brunch this summer as we just have a table for 2.

A group brunch, in the private room is nice, and on the last two cruises we have had great company, but thats the problem, we all talk so much that time flies and you do not eat as much!!! He He,

I do find the Private room a little hot and you do not get the sea views as the main bit of Palo.

So for a change its just two of us from 10.30am to 1pm!:yay:

Now after all my summer 2009 planning for WDW, Cruise, car hire, flights, Palo, Shore trips, wine package, ADR's etc,

Just turned my eye over to Venice which is next weekend!!!

Just booked a private water taxi from the airport via the grand canal to our hotel, the family do not know that as yet!!!

Robert wonder if you can hire Andrew to plan a Venice trip for you and your family? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Andrew sounds like it is time to make some plans for next weekend. At least you didn't wait until the last minute. :dance3:

Very Nice!

Sounds wonderful Robert. We'll be a BLT in Feb. with a MK view. I'm sure the resort will be beautiful!

Barb, I agree with JoAnn. Dinner at Palo is fabulous as well. You might want to see if they have openings when you board. It is well worth it!

What dates? We'll be down in April as well.

I know they have openings for dinner still, but since it's just the 3 of us on this cruise and it's only 4 days we are skipping Palo once again which does not bother me at all. The menu looks good, but nothing screams out to me that I have to try it - except for the chocolate souffle, but if I want that bad enough I'll just make it myself.
