MJ and I were one of the first ones to enter the port (boarding # 2) and got checked in very quickly and then went over and asked about upgrading - we ended up from a cat 12 to a cat 4 for a unbelieveable terrific price - we were dancing around singing "Happy Mother's Day" to us

once I smashed my toe, I was pretty much out of it and didnt' get around as much as I wanted to

I'm thinking of trying for an upgrade this summer and was wondering how it works - in particular: how good at they are redirecting luggage to the new cabin?

It sounds like getting there early is key.

As the luggage is deposited already and in a large pile, it will get delivered to the wrong ( old) location, but they will instruct stateroom hosts to redirect it to your new room.

We did get to port early, we had stayed at the County Inn the night before, with plans of sleeping in a bit and having the free breakfast they serve, but we both woke up around 4:45 a.m. grinning.

Seems like we were at the Budget car drop off down the street just about 9 and their shuttle dropped us off before 10 and we were in the terminal just about 10

There were several of us that upgraded

We did enjoy the cat 4

Our stateroom host asked what was our old stateroom and said he would find our luggage - I know it was there after the sail away party and reception that our group had right after the sail away party

Just a report back a lot of people didnt get what they wanted at the 90 days booknig last night for my Totrtola cruise, a bit of a scamble and Palo Brunch going in a few seconds.

No, we'll be at the house so only a few minutes from AKL.
I'm hoping to have internet of some type in the house not long after we get there in June, don't want to be there too long without it.
