6 kids under the age of 6 take on WDW, will Santa still visit when we get home?

I read your whole TR throughout the day today, lol! Great pics, adorable kids, and sounds like you all had such a great time (except CR of course!). I'm glad you said hello on Tracy's PTR so I could follow your siggy link :).

I am sorry to see your trip come to an end. It sounded great. Thanks for sharing it with us. Well, DID Santa visit when you got home? I hope so!

What a great surprise for your mom! I hope you have a great trip.

You got me a little misty reading about watching your best friend walking away. It made me lonesome for my best friend who lives far away from me, and wishing I could have a week in WDW with her!

Also, I am dying to know - are we ever going to find out if Santa still visited? Are we, are we, huh, huh, huh? :rotfl2:

Wow, that is incredible. I wish I could come up with something like that. Where did you get the card? I haven't told DDs about our trip to DL yet. I'll have to think up something. DH will be flying in a little later to spend birthday with DD so that will be a surprise anyway.

Hey princess, I am still reading your TR. Sorry it is taking me forever. I read just a bit here and there. I am so impressed by how you managaged all those kids. :worship: I would have had an IV in my arm pumping valium. I have a degree in child development and am well trained in caring for young children too. :rotfl:

I just wanted to share my happy dance with you. Last weekned my husband and I were at a fundraiser with an auction. They auctioned of a WDW trip and we got it. We were a little misled by the description and thought that we were purchasing a package for 4 when it was really for 2. It is too late to go back now since it was all for charity although I would never had spent what we did had I known it was two person trip. We decided that we will just make the best of our impulse purchase so DH and I are going this fall or winter, just the two of us. :woohoo:

I just saw the post above mine where you surprised your mom with the trip. That package you put together is so cute. I bet she was very excited. I may need to borrow that Disney for Adults book. If you get any good ideas send them my way.

Wow what a great surprise.. Can I be part of you family :lmao: :rotfl2: no just kidding. That was nice of you. Pop looks so beautiful.

I just had to say "WOW" What a great trip it sounds like you had. That's hard watching your BFF leave like that. This leaves me hope that one day my BFF will join me in having kids and we'll be able to do a trip like this. But of course she does have to get married first. :rotfl: Again glad you guys had a great trip and can't wait to hear about your trip with your mom and sister next.

I just found your TR and am enjoying it - and your kids are precious!

Question-we are going this year around the same dates as you went last year. You made me nervous (at the start) talking abou thte crowds! YIKES! How crowded was it? How long should I anticipate waiting for rides? (My girls will be 2 1/2 and close to 4 when we go so I'm paniced about how they will tolerate long waits.) I went about 6-7 yrs ago during this week and it was soooo slow that we could sit on the ride when it was over and go on it a 2nd time wtihout getting off! NOW you have me worried! haha

Anyhow - great job with the TR so far! I'm loving it!

We're back and I am all caught up in your story. I forgot you stayed at POP and seeing the pics brought back memories of my last week there. I have to start my trip report soon before I forget!

I saw some crazy things at Disney this week, but nothing like the lap dog!

Did I miss you getting your watch? Did it arrive home safe and sound?

I hear you on the accidents, Brenna had one on our last night at Disney too.

What a wonderful last day at DHS and lovely moring before leaving!!

I cry at Fantasmic too... and Wishes.... and Illuminations:sad2:

I cried yesterday at Allison's 2nd grade play....

I'm a crier;)

I bet your mom was pretty excited about her suprise!! What a great idea! I can't wait to hear all about the plans for that trip!

Paula

Sounds like you had a good last day...well as good as a last day can be. :sad2:

You're right, as good as it could have been! We made the best of it, LL!!:goodvibes

I've loved looking at your pictures of WDW at Christmas time. I can't wait for our Christmas visit.:thumbsup2 The tree at MCO is impressive too. Love the pictures of the POP! Too funny you took a picture of the lady w/ her dog on the bus.:rotfl:

You are going to LOVE it at Christmastime!! If you think it's magical normally, you just wait!! I hope you think about going to MVMCP, go during the week, when it's quieter and you'll just love walking down Main Street, and all the lights...it's beautiful!!!:santa:

What a great update Kristen! Love the sleeping pics. I always take those of my boys. It's about the only time they hold still, lol. Glad you threw in some more pics of the places Christmas decorations. It's getting me very excited to see it all for the first time when we go this year. I didn't realize the gingerbread house was that big. I was surprised when I saw the kids standing in front of it. Love those family shots, lol. It seems as though that's how mine always turn out, you have high hopes but the children have other ideas. So sad to hear about you having to say goodbye to Tracey. I can't imagine having to do that with my BFF. Glad to hear they finally got your watch situation figured out. Hope it arrived safely to your house. Can't wait for the next update even though it will draw your TR to a close. You'll have to come visit me on my lame pretrippie so we can still chat.

Tracy, we'll definately keep in touch! I can't wait to live your trip with you, too!! It will keep me going for sure!!:goodvibes

that stuff you did for your mom is amazing. i am sure you guys will have a fantastic trip

Thank you!! It was fun to put together and we found some really cute things to give her Disney themed. I can't wait to plan this trip! Just got back from the book store, bought the same book we got Mom so I can plan along with her!!:goodvibes

Awww that is so sweet, I almost cried reading it! What a great surprise, you put a lot of work into it and it shows. Can't wait to hear all about what you guys plan!! popcorn::

Thanks Lauren, it came out cute and Mom was so surprised!! :yay: It will be so much fun to plan. We told Mom since it was her birthday surprise that she can pick our out sit down meals, of course, I'll give her some hints, too since she hasn't been in 10 or so years now.;)

I love your mom's bday surprize!!! That is awesome!!! Looking forward to hearing all your planning details...when your done with your TR, you'll be needing to start a PTR...does it ever end?!?:surfweb:

Thanks Leighan!! Yay, she was SO excited and we were, too, that we could finally tell her!!! Hoping to finish my TR tonight/this weekend so I move on...yes, I'm not sure it ever ends but that's okay, it's keeping me going!!:dance3:

Wow, I just got all caught up on your TR! I love the pictures of the boys sleeping, so cute. :) And the surprise for your mom is great! I'm so glad you were able to surprise her, and now you get to plan everything out in the open. It'll be a great way to relive this trip, too... the whole "I really loved this and want mom to see it" thing... that's the reason we're taking our families in December... speaking of that, I should really go update my pre-trippie... but first I have pictures to upload.... ;)

I know what you mean, it will be so much fun, my Mom took us as kids, so it was nice to be able to take her and share it with her this year. :woohoo: We can't wait!! And it's been a long time since just the 3 of us have spent anytime together like that, it will be fun!!! Can't wait to read your PTR again!! Did you get your pics uploaded??:goodvibes

I read your whole TR throughout the day today, lol! Great pics, adorable kids, and sounds like you all had such a great time (except CR of course!). I'm glad you said hello on Tracy's PTR so I could follow your siggy link :).

Hi!! Thanks for joining me!!:goodvibes And thanks for all of your compliments, too!!! Hope you stay tuned for the rest, neighbor!!;)

I am sorry to see your trip come to an end. It sounded great. Thanks for sharing it with us. Well, DID Santa visit when you got home? I hope so!

What a great surprise for your mom! I hope you have a great trip.

Thanks, hoping to finish up today/tomorrow! Stay tuned and find out if Santa made it or not....lol!!:rotfl:

You got me a little misty reading about watching your best friend walking away. It made me lonesome for my best friend who lives far away from me, and wishing I could have a week in WDW with her!

Also, I am dying to know - are we ever going to find out if Santa still visited? Are we, are we, huh, huh, huh? :rotfl2:

I know, when I was writing it, I was getting misty eyed, again!!:sad1: It's been 2 months now since I've seen Tracey, so it's been fun to relive this with you guys and having all my great memories come back!!!

Stay tuned to find out, did Santa visit us??:santa:

Wow, that is incredible. I wish I could come up with something like that. Where did you get the card? I haven't told DDs about our trip to DL yet. I'll have to think up something. DH will be flying in a little later to spend birthday with DD so that will be a surprise anyway.

Aww, thanks!!:goodvibes The card is from Barnes and Noble bookstore, believe it or not!! Most of that stuff was!! It's so cute, I kept reopening it over and over to hear the song and then Mom did, too!! Too cute!:cutie: That would be really cute for your DDs!!! Are you planning on keeping the secret for the trip all the way until the end? Are you going to do a PTR? I loved reading your first TR, keep me posted, I would love to follow you over to it!! Hint, hint!!;)

Hey princess, I am still reading your TR. Sorry it is taking me forever. I read just a bit here and there. I am so impressed by how you managaged all those kids. :worship: I would have had an IV in my arm pumping valium. Hi Nancy! No worries, thanks for reading along!! And yay for doing the happy dance!:dance3: You have another trip this year!! That's a shame that you thought it was for your family but yay for taking a trip with just DH!! That will be awesome, when do you think you'll go? Any plans yet? I just bought that Disney for adults book for me this afternoon so I can read along with Mom, I will let you know for sure if I come up with anything worth sharing. I have all the kids traveling books but thought this may have some good hints for us traveling adults. :goodvibes

Wow what a great surprise.. Can I be part of you family :lmao: :rotfl2: no just kidding. That was nice of you. Pop looks so beautiful.

Aww, sure!!:goodvibes It's a huge gift but you only live once and we got a great deal. My Mom wouldn't want a party for her 60th, she would just want to spend time with her girls, it's been years and whle she's still young and healthy, we figured why not? Thankfully we have two great husbands that are willing to let us go, mine will take vacation time to watch the boys that week so I can go, it's going to be once in a lifetime memory for sure!!! I can't wait!!:wizard:

I just had to say "WOW" What a great trip it sounds like you had. That's hard watching your BFF leave like that. Hi!! Thanks for coming along and for your compliments!! :goodvibes It was a magical trip with my BFF and family for sure, it was just what we had wanted and we have such wonderful memories and great pictures to always remember it by.:cloud9: I hope you get the chance to do it someday with your BFF, to have that downtime with your loved ones and on the most magical place on earth...it's truly amazing!!!:cutie:

Hi!!! Welcome, thanks for joining me!!:flower3: Hmm, the crowds, well, our last time was in September and it was for sure quieter then. I didn't find it too bad....we had moments where it was a lot and then others, it was tolerable. The CM's all commented on how it was SO MUCH BUSIER than they expected and they couldn't believe it, they were saying it was like Christmas week!:scared1: I would do it again and you saw what we had for a crew age wise...I hate to lead you on and say it wasn't busy, because it was but it was manageable if you follow a plan and get your FP's. I was definately busier than when you went last time 6-7 years ago than this year. When we booked our trip last year, Disney told me the two weeks after Thanksgiving were the slowest that time of year but then everyone was so surprised how busy it was. I still think the magic is woth the crowds!! I probably completely confused you now!! Sorry!!:sad2:

Stay tuned, hoping to finish up this weekend!!!

We're back and I am all caught up in your story. I forgot you stayed at POP and seeing the pics brought back memories of my last week there. I have to start my trip report soon before I forget!

Hi!! Welcome home!! How was your trip> Are you going to do a TR? Keep me posted so I can read along!!!!:cutie: I know, the lap dog.....too weird!?! I had to take a pic!! LOL!!:rotfl: Stay tuned for the ending, coming soon.....

Paula

Hi Paula...glad I'm not the only one that cries a lot!:sad1: I'm a crier, too, my poor sons.....they are going to disown me or tell Todd to leave me at home cause Mommy always cries!! LOL!!:lmao: I cried at Ethan's preschool graduation, like a baby...I'm pathetic!! But that's me, to know me is to love me, even through my tears!! :goodvibes

Yes, Mom was so surprised and excited!!! :dance3: We're going to have fun planning for sure!

Thanks for everyones comments and for being patient....hoping to wrap things up this weekend and then do a recap on my Top 10/20 things from my trip along with a souvie recap, since I didn't document all of our souvies through my TR. Hope you stick around!! :goodvibes

We left off saying good bye to Tracey & family at MCO. Our flight was another hour or so away. We got some window seats, I dried my tears and Todd ran for some snacks. If my memory serves me correctly, he grabbed a couple of hot pretzels and some sodas to keep us going for awhile.

Our flight was originally scheduled for about 2:30 and about 2 weeks before our trip, it was changed for almost 5 p.m. I was happy to have the extra time that day but on the flip side, Todd was scheduled to go out on business the next day and needed to up before dawn for a trip to NYC. UGH! So at this point, I was ready to get home.

We boarded our flight and since I flew up with the kids, Todd was sitting with them on the way home (we had one row to ourselves and one seat across the aisle to pass Cole back and forth from). The kids were tired, so we figured they would take a nice nap and we could just relax...lol!!:rotfl: What were we thinking?:confused3 After take off, Cole was being passed and forth continuously from Todd & I and the boys listened to their cool new Disney Mix Sticks we had given them on the flight down as an early Christmas present. Lucas passed out pretty soon after take off,

Ethan colored and listened to his tunes and Cole was ready to run at this point. And we had a 2 1/2 hour plane ride ahead of us!! GULP!

me trying to keep Cole in one place!
Disney1208550.jpg

About an hour or so into our flight, I some how ended up making conversation with the woman in front of me, we were asking each other if we were in Disney world, she was with her family which included her 3 girls. I was sitting with her youngest daughter and her DH. We compared notes of the week, what we liked, what we ate, where in MA we were from and after awhile, she asked me if I was Kristen and I was like "yes!" and she said she was LCAEMOM!!!!! From here on DIS! I couldn't beleive it, we had chatted a few times before our trips on the Dec 2008 thread and here we were, meeting on the plane on the way home to MA!! From that point on, you couldn't stop us from chatting!! We talked all the way home to Boston and it was such a NICE way to end my trip. Thanks Leighan for making my extra special week even nicer by being able to share it with one of my DIS friends!!! Since then, we've "chatted" through DIS a few times, she's one of my faithful readers on my TR and I hope we can continue this new found friendship!:goodvibes

We made it to Boston without any gliches and were ready to get our luggage, find out VERY COLD minivan and find something quick to eat so we could make our way home to Plymouth. Soon after we got off the plane, we turned on our cell phone to find a text message from Tracey and Adam saying they plane had been rerouted to Baltimore because there was a fire on the tarmack in Philly, they were stuck for hours and were contimplating renting a car and making the 3 hour trip home with the kids.:scared1: Thankfully, they got a plane an hour or so after they sent us a note and got home just before midnight!!! What a nightmare!! They should have been home for dinner.:sad2:

As sad as I was the trip was officially over, I was happy to be home in my own bed while visions of Disney World danced in our heads.....:santa:

***** THE END*******

1. Up next, my top 10 list!!
2. My souvie pics post
3. Did I ever get my watch?
4. Did Santa visit?

OK so yes, you DID confuse me in terms of crowd levels! :rotfl2: OK so I guess maybe the question is - how long (approx) do you think you had to wait for each ride? (Especially at MK, where we plan to spend most of our time) THANKS!

Hi!! Stay tuned to find out, did Santa visit us??:santa:

:goodvibes

:

Thanks for the happy dance. We are thinking about either going in Oct for food and wine or maybe in Dec or Jan. We have a year to use the trip. A lot will depend on who and when I can get someone to watch my kids. My mom is more likely to be available in Dec or Jan as she normally spends Christmas with us, however that may all change as my sister just found out she is pregnant with her second child and the first isn't even a year yet. When I say she just found out, I mean she just found out and doesn't even know when she is due yet. I am thinking Oct or Nov and if that is the case my mom may need to be with her in Oct to help a very pregnant mom chase after a 18 mo old or she may want to get the visit out of the way so she can help a mom with a newborn and a toddler. My first choice is to go in oct with food and wine. My second choice is to go in Dec. You have motivated me with all those wonderful Christmas decorations in your pictures :santa: We only have two days of park tickets too. Thanks for asking about my trip. I know I rambled a bit there but I am starting to get excited and spending toomuch time DISing again. :surfweb:

I will love to hear about your trip as it unfolds. Keep us posted.
