Really would love to get back down to Disney next year :yay:. My sister and I were thinking of going together with the kids. Problem is, there would be 6 of us, 2 adults 4 children (all over the age of 3). We were hoping to stay in one room to help with cost. Is this even possible, to get 6 in a room?

I would try for 2 moderates (try and get a discount code or promotional offer). Caribbean Beach is our favorite moderate resort. I've heard about value suites..but they look awful to me.
I think two rooms at a moderate would offer you twice as much room and TWO bathrooms. Six people getting ready in the morning..you'll need more than one bathroom

Another option would be the the Fort Wilderness cabins (again, I wouldn't pay full rack rate..but with a discount..they are an excellent value). They will accomodate six and the bedroom has a full size bed with a set of bunks. The living area has a queen sized pull down murphy bed. There is also a couch.
The cabins offer a full sized kitchen complete with dishwasher. Mousekeeping services. There is a deck outside and a bbq as well.
However, FW doesn't offer any type of food court, (they do have a counter service..but it's lacking in selections) and getting around without bikes or a golf cart can be somewhat difficult.

Check out the AS Music Family Suites. They seem like they would be perfect for your trip.

Family of 6 here :) There are many options, but many are pretty pricey. Options from lowest to highest price (don't shoot the messenger, they may vary per season):

1. Two rooms (connecting) at a value
2. Family Suite at a value
3. Two rooms (connecting) at a moderate
4. Fort Wilderness Cabins
5. Junior Suite at Coronado Springs
6. Deluxe Room at WL
7. 2 BR villa or deluxe room at the Boardwalk

We have chosen two connecting rooms at a moderate for the increased space. CSR does have queen beds that might be nice if you have older kids. Otherwise, ours did just fine in with 2 kids in a full size. They were so tired that as long as they had a bed they were great! Hope that helps. Have a nice trip!

Thanks everyone. I will have to look into all the options you provided. Hope something works :)

If one of the kids is under 3, then you have one more option. You could all stay in one deluxe room - at certain resorts and room styles.

On the other hand, having done this several times, unless you have your heart stuck on a certain resort, you are much better off having two rooms or maybe a family suite (never tried them) Also Pop is going to have bigger suites at some point when it opens.

The extra space and extra bathroom will really come in handy, especially if anyone in your group has slightly different sleeping patterns (kids going to bed early), is a light sleeper, etc. You'll also get an extra fridge. We rarely plan to really eat a meal in the room, but having water, a few other drinks, and a healthy snack or two in the room comes in handy. Those little dorm cube fridges fill up quickly!
